My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 41: Isn’t This Deliberately Infuriating?
Luna Jennings, standing to the side, couldn’t stand it anymore. She knew Aurora Sinclair well enough to know she wasn’t the type to lie.
If she said she didn’t know how to do two problems, then she didn’t know how to do two problems.
So she angrily retorted, "Don’t you guys forget! Zeke Quincy is Aurora’s cousin. Just because he’s a top student doesn’t mean Aurora isn’t!"
Only then did the girls realize that Aurora Sinclair and Zeke Quincy were related. They gave Aurora a slightly embarrassed smile, then shut up and walked away.
Seeing that everyone had left, Mona Lowell pressed her lips together and turned to sit back down in her seat.
Just then, Zeke Quincy’s fraternal twin sister, Jean Quincy, ran to the entrance of Class 6 to call for Aurora Sinclair.
"Aurora, come out, quick—"
Now the girls who had just been mocking Aurora Sinclair were even more annoyed. They shot several glances at Mona Lowell, blaming her for bringing up Zeke Quincy in the first place.

「Meanwhile.」
As soon as Aurora Sinclair stepped out of Class 6, a thrilled Jean Quincy pulled her straight into a deserted hallway and showed Aurora her phone.
"Look, look! Darius Lynch sent me a private message! What should I do? Pinch me, I need to see if I’m dreaming!"
Jean Quincy was like a restless rabbit, her cheeks flushed and her body fidgeting. It felt like every cell in her body was vibrating.
"What do I do, what do I do? Darius Lynch asked to meet me! I’m done for, my heart is beating so fast..." Jean Quincy grabbed Aurora Sinclair’s hand and placed it over her own heart.
Aurora Sinclair looked curiously at her phone, which displayed a few lines of conversation.
[Darius Lynch: Are you there? This might be a bit forward, but could you send me a clearer picture of the makeup box?]
[Beautiful Jean: image.jpg]
[Darius Lynch: I’ll be filming a show at Vespera this Sunday. Are you free? I’d like to see your makeup box up close. (shy) This is my manager’s contact info: 139-XXX-XXXX.]
[Darius Lynch: If you’re not free, we can schedule another time. Whenever works for you.]
"What do I do? He asked me out! How should I reply? Should I go?" Jean Quincy shook Aurora Sinclair’s arm, completely at a loss. Her eyes were filled with a mix of excitement and anxiety.
Aurora Sinclair patted her on the head. "Go see him."
"I don’t dare... Aurora, you have to come with me!" Jean Quincy tugged on Aurora Sinclair, looking pitiful and totally chickening out.
Aurora Sinclair thought for a moment, then nodded. "Okay."
Jean Quincy immediately sent Darius Lynch a reply: [My idol, I’m free! Can I come with my cousin? She’s one of your Ice Creams, too.]
Darius Lynch quickly replied with an "OK" emoji.
Jean Quincy was so happy she threw her arms around Aurora Sinclair’s neck and jumped up and down, a huge smile blooming on her face.

The results for the nerve-wracking district-wide joint exam were finally announced on Thursday. The rankings for the entire senior class were posted on the third-year notice board.
First place, as expected, went to Zeke Quincy. No surprise there. Chinese: 142, Math: 150, Foreign Language: 150, Comprehensive Science: 265 (Physics: 82, Chemistry: 89, Biology: 94). Total Score: 707.
Not only was he first in his class and first in the entire school, but he was also first in the entire district joint exam. Rumor had it that Gideon Alden, the top student from First City High School, was just two points behind him, ranking second in the joint exam.
Luna Jennings pulled Aurora Sinclair through the crowd to see the results. The list only showed the school-wide rankings. Scanning from top to bottom, Luna saw she was ranked 96th in the school.
"Huh? Aurora, why can’t I find your rank?" Luna Jennings scanned the top 100 again but still couldn’t find Aurora Sinclair’s name.
"It’s here," Aurora Sinclair said, pointing to another sheet of paper.
Aurora Sinclair was ranked 256th in the school with a total score of 505. A look at her individual subject scores revealed...
Chinese: 82, Math: 80, Foreign Language: 83, Comprehensive Science: 260 (Physics: 100, Chemistry: 80, Biology: 80).
Luna Jennings excitedly pointed at Aurora Sinclair’s physics score. "Oh my god! Aurora, you got a perfect 100 in physics? This physics test was the hardest in history!"
The words had barely left her mouth when a girl friendly with Mona Lowell said mockingly, "Didn’t she say there were only two problems she couldn’t do in science? Looks like those two problems cost her 40 points..."
Her voice was so loud that all the students around them heard her.
Luna Jennings couldn’t take it and argued back loudly, "Not knowing how to do a problem is different from making a careless mistake, isn’t it? Besides, what was your science score? Aurora’s science score is high enough to rank in the A-Class, and she got a perfect score in physics! Show me anyone else in any class who got a perfect score in physics!"
Mona Lowell smiled and tried to mediate. "Yvette, Luna’s right. Sinclair’s science score really is good. But as a student taught by Professor Chester Greene, it would be a bit strange if she *didn’t* get a perfect score in physics..."
"Hmph! If Professor Greene taught me, I could get 100 too. What’s so great about that!" Yvette Lawson rolled her eyes and walked off.
The surrounding students, who had been ready to worship the physics god Aurora Sinclair, immediately felt their awe dissipate the moment they heard Chester Greene’s name.
"No wonder she got a perfect score in physics. If Professor Greene taught me, I could too."
"Yeah! The only thing separating us from Aurora Sinclair is a Chester Greene!"
"Let’s go, let’s go. Nothing special to see here. In her other subjects, without Professor Greene, didn’t she just get 80s?"
"Exactly. With a total score of 505, she’s at the bottom of our class. Even students from the art track scored higher than her."
Luna Jennings saw that Aurora Sinclair’s expression was as calm as ever, making it hard to gauge her mood. After pulling her out of the crowd, she asked cautiously, "Aurora, this is just a mock exam, not the real college entrance exam. Don’t worry too much about the scores."
Aurora Sinclair nodded.
After the two returned to their classroom, Mona Lowell and her group, who had been chatting together, rolled their eyes the moment they saw Aurora Sinclair. They mimicked her tone from a few days ago, "There are ’two problems I can’t do’! HA HA HA..."
Alex Warren slammed his hand on a desk. "What’s all the noise? Can’t you see Young Master Lowell is sleeping!"
The girls instantly shut up, but the looks they gave Aurora Sinclair were still strange and full of sarcasm.
While the classroom was buzzing, the teachers’ office was in an uproar of its own.
Several of Class 6’s subject teachers surrounded Leon Barron, complaining.
"Barron, what is going on with Aurora Sinclair from your class? Why did she leave so many questions blank! I could maybe understand leaving some blank in science, but she left them blank in my foreign language class too? If you just guess randomly on a multiple-choice question, you still have a 25% chance of getting it right!"
The foreign language teacher was the first to lash out. Aurora Sinclair’s answer sheet was infuriating. In all her years of teaching, she had never seen a student leave questions blank on a foreign language exam—and what’s more, every single question she *did* answer was correct. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"Barron, with a physics score that good, your student Aurora Sinclair’s math score shouldn’t be this low! Look here, these are the most basic questions. The whole class got them right, but she left them blank! And then look at the final problem! No one else in your class got it completely right, but she aced it. Is she doing this just to drive us crazy?"
"Exactly! Mr. Barron, in all my years of teaching Chinese, I’ve never seen a student leave the essay portion completely blank."
Leon Barron had a complicated expression on his face, because it was the same story in his chemistry class. Every question she answered was correct; all the points she lost were from questions she hadn’t attempted.
And the questions she didn’t do were completely baffling. Aside from two extremely difficult problems that were beyond the curriculum, the rest were basic questions that almost the entire class had gotten right.
Just then, Gloria Alden, who had been quiet until now with a smug look on her face, suddenly spoke up. "You all should stop making things difficult for Mr. Barron. Why not just call Aurora Sinclair over and ask her?"
"Alden, you must be riding high right now. You’ve got the triple crown winner in your class, and you also coached a student to a perfect score in physics. You’re a real winner at life..."
Hearing this, Gloria Alden put on a worried expression and replied in a tone that was clearly meant to annoy, "Sterling, what are you talking about? I have my own worries! The school’s average physics score barely reached the passing line this time. I still don’t know how I’m going to explain that to Director Warner!"
...
Leon Barron rubbed his throbbing temples, stood up, and walked out.
"Hey, Mr. Barron, where are you going? I’m not finished talking!"
Leon Barron didn’t turn back. "I’m going to get Aurora Sinclair for you!"
