Chapter 273: Ancient City of Sun Jade

As one of the main worlds of the 9th Heaven, the cosmic providence in Jade Vine Pure World was naturally very overwhelming.

The Ancient City of Sun Jade, holding the title of Ancient City, had a noticeable chunk of the entire world’s providence as well.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that there were billions upon billions of cosmos forgers populating this city. And that these billions upon billions could easily amount to hundreds of billions or tens of trillions...

Mortal journeys were sung regularly, detailing the journeys of the so-called favored children of heaven; however, if the Cloud Sea World, situated on the edge of the 23rd Heaven, gave birth to such a character, then the entire providence of that world would be focused on that individual. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

They would practically become the very center of that world.

On the other hand, the Ancient City of Sun Jade alone could easily give birth to ten or twenty of such characters...

That was solely due to the sheer amount of cosmic providence permeating throughout the Ancient City of Sun Jade.

Though titled ’City’, the distance it covered was immeasurable. Ninety thousand miles covered only a small portion of this city!

Within, space was locked down by magic formations and seal-locking cosmic treasures, preventing otherworldly creatures from achieving any feats of teleportation.

This was especially designed to counter practitioners enlightening the principle of space.

These individuals were a headache if they chose to commit assassinations, and the Ancient City forbade any acts of murder; hence why space-locking treasures were gravely important to the city’s maintenance.

Naturally, the law was only applicable if one was weak and they were caught.

.....

There were many reasons why otherworldly creatures across the Heavens were drawn to Ancient Cities, or spaces in general that contained a high density of cosmic providence.

Enjoyment.

Comprehension.

Fortuity.

Opportunity.

In a place teeming with cosmos forgers and realm fathers, the plethora of principles at work covered a wide variety of creation.

Mortal men enjoyed delicacies and beauties.

Otherworldly creatures had unfathomable souls and abstract souls, but it did not mean that they would not enjoy these concepts.

The delicacies and the beauties simply needed to be unfathomably greater.

For example, there were several famous restaurants in the Ancient City of Sun Jade, and countless otherworldly creatures appeared daily, splurging on Dark Gold Sand or even ounces of Dark Gold...

Why?

Simply, mortal chefs practiced the craft of cooking, and otherworldly chefs enlightened the very concept, because all concepts were derived from a principle.

From mastering their arts as mortals to comprehending the concept of cooking as stellar fighters, and then enlightening the principles of Food...

And it was not different for otherworldly creatures that worked in an establishment like the Fantasy Jade Pavilion...

.....

The walls of the Ancient City of Sun Jade stretched towards the heavens and pressed fiercely against the cloudy skyline.

Moments after entering beyond these walls, a powerful wave of energy swept over the cosmic vessel and pierced straight into it.

This energy washed over Ancestor Green and the cosmos forgers with him, and it fell on Elshen for more than ten seconds.

Seeing the strange behavior of this particular energy, a frown appeared on his face.

Ancestor Green saw this and quickly chimed, "This is only the protective formation that encompasses the Ancient City during times like these. It’s said that it divines the past of any entity touched by it."

How recent this past was really depended on the strength of the realm father.

For example, it might be rather difficult for them to even divine some days ago for Elshen, and that too, only a possibility because he did not interfere with their divination.

They would have a much easier time seeing weeks into the past, and the battle at Fellspire Mountain through Ancestor Green.

After all, it was a joke to attempt divining the past of one who enlightened the principles of Fate, Destiny, and Inevitability.

Their attempts were really a big joke, but they did not know.

After all, the authorities of the ancient city had no choice...

Times like these...

’The cosmic providence in the Ancient City of Sun Jade has reached a level of saturation after a period, so a great fortune for the powerful will soon appear.’ Astaria spoke these words to Anon back then.

Only those capable of reading Fate would know of this, and they may tell their own people.

Ancestor Green was obviously one of those people who was in the know.

This was a great fortuitous opportunity for the powerful, but a brewing calamity for the ancient city if not handled well.

Even if the opportunity does not manifest within the Ancient City of Sun Jade, anywhere near the ancient city would lead to mass destruction when the powerful confront each other.

’In truth, the ancient city would want to know my true intentions, and if there’s a foreign Dimension Lord behind me. But what do they know?’ Elshen snickered inwardly and thought, ’After all, I’m his benefactor.’

Not long after, the energy dispersed.

Whether the ones in charge of this formation opted to keep tabs on Elshen or not, he did not know, nor did he particularly care.

If he had arrived at this ancient city straight from the 23rd Heaven, then that would truly be suspicious, and a Dimension Lord must be at play.

His intentions, though unknown, would practically be spilling the aura of foulness.

Instead, with his recent past being clean, he would force these Dimension Lords to accept him.

"In the Ancient City, the use of cosmic vessels, and traversing in the air in general, is prohibited even for realm fathers," Ancestor Green grinned from ear to ear, and he said this whilst puffing out his chest.

Elshen instantly understood the true nature of his words, and he couldn’t help but laugh loudly and play along.

"Oh?" He looked around, his perception sweeping over the nearby thousands of miles, and swiftly realized that there were fewer than three cosmic vessels, and only a single individual maneuvering in the sky.

Countless otherworldly creatures traversed the grounds below.

He asked, "Well then, why haven’t you retrieved your cosmic vessel as yet? Won’t we get in trouble with the authorities?"

An exaggerated expression appeared on Elshen’s face as he grew worried. His image was completely shattered, but it fed into Ancestor Green’s ego greatly.

Ancestor Green laughed maniacally, "Haha, I want to see which authority dares stop a member of the Fantasy Jade Pavilion."
