Chapter 325: The Great Lord’s desires

The moment the Great Lord introduced herself, Elshen began counting in his head.

How long would it take for the Boundless Light Empress to react?

This was her dominion, so how would she not know of this conversation?

She knew everything!

But time passed, and one moment became two.

After an entire second had passed, he inwardly smiled, but outwardly, he said with a cold voice, "Where does the Heart-Consuming Great Lord get the guts?"

"You are an eternal enemy of the Boundless Light Empress, but you still dare manifest yourself in the Palace of Light?"

"Hehe..."

She lightly snickered and said, "There’s no need to put up an act between us two. From one Dark Elf to another, I say this with utmost sincerity, I am only intrigued."

"Dark Elf?" He squinted his eyes.

Where did this come from?

"Hmph!"

"Come on now, do you expect me to believe that you’re a Sun Elf?"

"To control the will of creatures greater than yourself, not only are you a member of my Dark Elf Lineage, but you are a blessed member."

"The World Tree favors you, doesn’t it?" The Great Lord, manifested through the body of the light elf, stepped closer.

The half-step of distance that separated the two shrunk ever so slightly.

She appeared to analyze this unique specimen deeply.

Elshen was over a head taller than the light elf, so he looked down on the Great Lord.

His gaze shone with scarlet light.

He was deep in thought.

Not only did she believe that he was a Dark Elf, but she also assumed that he was blessed.

What a joke.

Blessed by the World Tree?

What did that even mean?

He suddenly thought back to his easily forgettable jest and Astaria’s words.

At a moment’s notice, he placed the clues together and understood.

’Mystifying Jade Fantasy does indeed have a connection with the Great Lord.’ He inwardly confirmed.

’Through that connection, the Great Lord is aware that I’ve influenced the heart of Mystifying Jade Fantasy. Only Dark Elves can influence another elf’s heart.’

’Due to this, she believes that I’m a Dark Elf.’

Elshen wanted to laugh.

"For you to appear here, you sure are confident that I’ve influenced the Boundless Light Empress." He said.

Shaking her head, she corrected, "No, I wouldn’t say that."

"Oh?" Elshen sighed with emotion and said, "If you aren’t confident, that means you are willing to throw aside a pawn just to meet me?"

He sarcastically asked, "Should I be honored?"

The light elf smiled.

"You speak harshly," The Great Lord said with an amused tone in her voice, "It is a pawn’s greatest honor to be of use to their Lord."

Elshen nodded in agreement.

He turned his back to the light elf and stepped toward the stone that jutted out of the earth.

Taking a seat, he appeared relaxed, a serene expression on his face.

"Are you satisfied?" He turned to the light elf.

The true meaning of his words was, Aren’t you going to leave now?

She appeared solely due to amusement.

These were her own words.

Not only was she able to speak to him, but the Boundless Light Empress had not acted.

This was an unbelievable scenario; however, it was reality, effectively revealing a stunning fact.

Elshen had successfully influenced the Empress’s heart!

What did this mean?

The entire Celestial Heart Atavistic Empire was within the grasp of his hands.

The Great Lord was able to deduce this much.

Essentially, once she had arrived at this fact, the purpose of her visit was already achieved.

But the light elf showed no signs of departing from Maarsha’s world.

Instead, her eyes lit up and formed crescents.

"I was amused," she suddenly spoke up, "I was amused, so I manifested before you, and it is this amusement that prevents me from departing, oh Elshen."

The Great Lord smiled endearingly.

Her words were easy to decipher.

"Ay!" Elshen raised a brow in surprise.

"You," he chuckled lightly and asked, "What makes you so daring? Aren’t you afraid?"

The light elf frowned slightly, "I’m the Great Lord. You’re blessed, so am I."

He mockingly thought, ’Yes, you’re the Great Lord, a Primary-Level creature, so you must be curious, huh.’

The Great Lord was intrigued.

Even the Boundless Light Empress was influenced, but the Boundless Light Empress was not a Dark Elf.

’The Boundless Light Empress is a Primary-Level creature seeking the realm of Overlord; however, without bothering about the paradisical soul, the Empress is still very far from that stage.’ Elshen mused.

The Empress had enlightened five principles beyond 40%, the principle of Light was nearing 60%, but she was not close to Overlord status.

Not close at all.

None of her five principles was particularly adept at resisting soul or mind attacks.

However, because her Willpower was at the Fifth Level, even the Great Lord could not do anything to her.

Yet, this did not mean that she was immune to being influenced and controlled.

The Great Lord did not find it difficult to accept.

After all, even with her Level Five Willpower and abstract soul, she did not enlighten the principle of Soul or the principle of the Heart.

The only thing she found difficult to accept was Elshen’s status.

He was only a Realm Father.

If the world knew this, not only the Elven territory, but the entire cosmic space would shake from this news.

And yet, he appeared so casual.

However!

The Great Lord was not apprehensive.

Who was the Heart-Consuming Great Lord?

She had absolute confidence in herself.

This confidence was what allowed her to be intrigued and amused, rather than apprehensive and fearful.

Not only did she dabble in the principle of Soul, but her insight into the principle of Heart was unparalleled across the Heavens!

More importantly, this was the light elf’s body.

She only manifested herself through her pawn’s body.

Elshen’s influence would first need to traverse through this connection before it could even begin attempting to wash over her heart.

Though this power was unknown, after it passed through the connection, her true body would face a weaker version of Elshen’s power.

This reduced the already minimal apprehension in her heart.

There was only intrigue and wanting.

She sought to understand this power.

How could a Realm Father control a Primary-Level creature?

How could a lesser willpower control a greater willpower?

If she wielded this power, could she control the Pinnacle?

Or even the Overlord?!

She had not perceived the crimson light in Elshen’s eyes.

She had not realized how quickly greed and wanting had clouded her mind.

Her soul was not apprehensive enough.

This power...

This was the power of the great Infernal god!
