Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast-Chapter 629: Definitely The Humans Plot, Ruins Activation (I)
Chapter 629: Definitely The Humans' Plot, Ruin's Activation (I)
When Chen Chu all but outright declared that everyone present was trash, the alien experts who had been filled with righteous indignation fell silent.
Looming high above in the sky, with four light wheels slowly rotating behind him, Chen Chu exuded an imposing presence. The aliens’ gazes flickered with dangerous intent as they watched him.
They were all powerful individuals who had cultivated to the Eighth or Ninth Heavenly Realm before the age of thirty. Whether in terms of talent or status, they were at the peak of their generation.
Yet now, these young elite experts were being called trash by a human.
Even the four Divine Children, whose auras surpassed the transcendent limits of the Ninth Heavenly Realm, narrowed their eyes slightly, their terrifying auras spreading in response.
As dozens of Eighth and Ninth Heavenly Realm auras locked onto Chen Chu, his expression remained calm, as if he didn’t regard these people as a threat at all.
If these alien experts dared to act, he would not hesitate to show them what true invincibility at the same level meant—what despair truly looked like.
On the ground below, Chen Shuang hesitated as she watched the scene unfold. "Chen Chu, isn’t this being a bit too arrogant?"
The Federation’s current policy toward the Alliance of Gods was one of appeasement and reconciliation. Because of this, over the years, Federation geniuses tasked with missions or exploration here had generally avoided acting domineeringly, except when fighting cultist followers of the demon gods.
An Fuqing replied calmly, "Chen Chu must have his reasons for acting this way. It’s fine. We just need to be ready to move when the time comes."
Hong Zhen nodded. "Exactly. We just need to be ready."
At that moment, the projection of a structure thousands of meters high in the sky began to distort slightly. The three tokens materialized as if flying out from the depths of time and space, scattering in different directions.
Boom!
Chen Chu reached out, and instantly, the transcendent energy within a radius of several kilometers surged violently. Under the convergence of invisible forces, three massive transparent hands formed, each a hundred meters in size.
As the giant hands reached for the three tokens, many of the alien experts grew restless, instinctively looking toward the four strongest Divine Children.
However, despite representing a major pantheon each, the Divine Children made no move to intervene, even as Chen Chu claimed all three tokens.
Seeing this, Chen Chu smiled faintly. "Thank you all for giving me this honor. Don’t worry; we only need eight tokens. The rest are yours to divide as you wish."
Despite his words, Chen Chu felt a hint of regret. He had been fully prepared to unleash carnage on any hostile aliens, and let rivers of blood flow.
As for the consequences? Why should he care? His mission this time was to create chaos.
Still, it wasn’t surprising that the strongest Divine Children hadn’t acted. Earlier, when five tokens had appeared, they had claimed one each, guaranteeing their entry into the ruin.
Given that, and their caution and wariness of Chen Chu’s strength, they naturally wouldn’t act rashly. No alien expert who had managed to reach the late stage or peak of the Ninth Heavenly Realm was a fool; both talent and intellect far surpassed those of ordinary geniuses.
Of course, because of differing positions, many of their actions could seem irrational at times.
Under the watchful gazes of the alien experts, Chen Chu descended onto a hillside. He then tossed two of the tokens to An Fuqing and Xia Zuo.
"You two hold onto these for now."
An Fuqing was a given—not only was she a classmate and friend, but when she had obtained a Soul Crystal, her first thought had been to send it to Chen Chu, knowing it could aid his cultivation of soul-based arts.
As for Xia Zuo, although Chen Chu wasn’t particularly close to him, he was Xia Youhui’s older brother. It was only right to show some consideration.
Hong Zhen and the others raised no objections. Without interference from the Demon God Cult, they were confident in their own strength to claim tokens, and with Chen Chu present, their chances were even better.
Hong Zhen glanced into the distance, his expression serious. "Chen Chu, those individuals didn’t act because they already have tokens. But once we’re inside the ruin, don’t let your guard down."
Chen Chu nodded slightly, knowing that Hong Zhen was referring to the Divine Children. Each one undoubtedly carried life-saving artifacts bestowed by their pantheon’s kings.
The Alliance of Gods, composed of nearly thirty alien Divine Regions, could broadly be divided into four main races.
The burly ten-meter-tall aliens with tiger-striped faces were members of the White Marked Clan. Their natural ability was wielding a fire known as the Glazed White Flame, making them formidable in combat.
Then there were the humanoid aliens standing three meters tall, with a third eye on their foreheads and unique markings on their faces. These were members of the Divine Three-Eyed Clan, from the Divine King Pantheon.
There were also the twenty-meter-tall Kata Tribe aliens, with bull-like horns, rugged features, and skin resembling elephant hide, as well as the Illusory Snake aliens, with humanoid torsos and blue scales covering their five-meter-tall bodies and ten-meter-long, snake-like tails.
The other alien races were derived from these four main groups. Among them, the Illusory Snake Clan was friendly toward humans, while the Kata Tribe leaned toward the Demon Cult Alliance; the alien expert under Saix of the Demon God Cult came from a branch of the Kata Tribe.
The White Marked aliens, the most powerful faction with over a dozen deities, remained neutral.
As for the Divine Three-Eyed Clan, which had the Divine King overseeing them, they were the most mysterious. They occupied half of the Alliance’s northern area and strictly prohibited other alien races from entering their Divine Region.
Due to Chen Chu’s forceful snatching of the tokens, the atmosphere around the ruin became tense.
While he waited for the ruin to activate, in a demonic qi-shrouded palace deep within the Purgatory Clan’s territory, seven figures emanating powerful auras stood atop the demon kings' pillars.
Barus spoke in a low voice. "That human genius known as Chu Batian—or rather, Chen Chu—has appeared at one of the ruins within the Alliance of Gods."
Immediately, an excited demon king below exclaimed, "Lord Barus, this is an opportunity! Lord Deorus has long instructed us to keep an eye on this human. If we can eliminate him this time, it will be a great achievement."
However, after speaking, the newly arrived demon king noticed the others looking at him with strange expressions. He instinctively touched his fierce face, feeling puzzled. "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
A demon king shrouded in darkness spoke in a cold voice. "Kraters, you should know that our Assassination Division originally had nine demon kings, correct?"
Kraters nodded slightly. "I know."
The shadowy figure continued in the same chilling tone. "Because of that one human genius, our Assassination Division now only has six left."
The new demon king froze upon hearing this.
Barus, seated at the main position, spoke slowly. "That human is formidable. Although his cultivation is only at the late stage of the Ninth Demonic Mark, according to the earliest reports, his combat strength has already reached the middle-stage mythical level."
"What? The late-stage Ninth Demonic Mark with middle-stage mythical level combat power?" The new demon king was shocked and released a powerful killing intent. "No wonder Lord Deorus ordered us to kill him at all costs. This human must die!"
After speaking, however, he once again noticed the odd looks from the other demon kings and frowned.
"Everyone, I’m new to the Assassination Division and not well-versed in all the information. If there's something I should know, just tell me directly."
Barus said, "There is indeed something. This human also possesses a summoning secret art that allows him to summon a colossal beast with great-demon-king-level combat power."
"What? He can summon a titan-level beast?!" The new demon king was once again shocked.
It was one thing for Chen Chu to possess middle-stage mythical level combat power at the Ninth Demonic Mark, but being able to summon a titan-level colossal beast that surpassed two major realms was beyond belief.
"That titan-level beast is incredibly powerful. Although its combat strength is only at the early stage of the great demon king level, its defense is such that not even a late-stage great demon king can harm it.

"That human can also sustain his summoning for a long time, so don't think of dragging the battle out to exhaust him."
After Barus finished speaking, the entire demon hall fell into silence. The new demon king subconsciously withdrew his killing intent. This human genius was too terrifying—he shouldn’t be provoked.
At that moment, another demon king spoke. "This human is likely the chosen one of humanity's fate before their world's downfall. That explains why his talent is so monstrous.
"With the power of fate surrounding him, his cultivation speed will advance at an alarming rate. He has already become a serious threat. Killing him would require summoning an awakened peak great demon king."
Another demon king solemnly replied, "But such a summoning would require a massive blood sacrifice, which might attract the attention of the Alliance of Gods."
"This is indeed a problem, unless we set up another Demonic Concealing Array in advance to conceal the summoning anomaly..."
At the head of the hall, Barus looked down at his subordinates, who were discussing how to assassinate Chu Batian, and spoke in a deep voice. "Have you not realized? This is a trap."
"A trap?!" The six demon kings were stunned.
Barus's eyes gleamed with insight. "Don’t forget how Dayianna and the others fell. Humans are cunning, sinister, and ruthless. This time, Chu Batian has openly exposed his whereabouts. It is highly likely that this is another trap set against us.
"On the battlefield, Chu Batian displayed terrifying potential, even forcing Lord Deorus to take action, only to be blocked by a forbidden weapon on him. In such a situation, our race’s killing intent toward Chu Batian will only intensify. There’s no way we would allow such a genius to grow unchecked.
“Humanity is well aware of this. It is very likely that Chu Batian's appearance in the Alliance is a scheme—one targeting great-demon-king-level powerhouses.
"If an awakened peak great demon king is summoned, they may fall into a human ambush, and the Alliance is far from our clan's stronghold. If the summoned great demon king is truly ambushed, we won't be able to provide support, and they will inevitably perish."
Gasp!
The demon kings collectively gasped, realizing that, with the nature of the previous two ambushes, Barus' speculation was highly likely to be true.
The newly joined demon king gritted its teeth, a hint of lingering fear in its eyes. "These humans are too cunning."
Barus spoke in a deep voice. "Humans have always been cunning, treacherous, and ruthless. If they can use a genius like Chu Batian as bait, we must not fall for their trap this time."
"Yes, we must not fall for it."
"Humans truly are too cunning."
