Chapter 725: A Massacre of Millions, The Sky-Covering Demonic Flames (I)

High above the sky over the edge of its territory, the projected form of the Azure-White Colossal Dragon emerged, stretching over ten thousand meters long and surrounded by a black storm laced with ice crystals. Its massive dragon eyes gazed across hundreds of kilometers into the distance.

There, an ancient creature that resembled a mountain had stepped into its domain. With each step, it stirred white shockwaves that roared like mountains collapsing and seas surging. Gales swept out with its every breath—its presence, overwhelming.

Roar!

A deep, commanding dragon's cry reverberated through the heavens, carrying the force of laws.

Thousands of cities and tribal settlements within the territory were shaken. Countless Kuru and all manner of mutated and colossal beasts dropped to their knees in terror, casting fearful glances toward the frozen mountain range.

The king was enraged.

Yet the ancient creature paid no heed to the Azure-White Dragon’s thunderous roar. After failing to break through and becoming petrified, its will had sunk into a deep slumber, its thoughts sluggish and detached.

And now, for the sake of devouring "Heaven," nothing could halt its advance.

Boom!

It strode forward on legs as massive as sky-supporting pillars, and each footfall shattered swathes of land dozens of kilometers wide. Forests collapsed, rivers broke apart, and all was laid to ruin.

Whether it was majestic peaks that soared tens of thousands of meters high, or mountain ranges that sprawled across the land, nothing could withstand its crushing momentum. Wherever it passed, mutated beasts fled in madness, and birds soared into the sky in panic.

Seeing the ancient creature show not even a hint of stopping, the Azure-White Dragon’s eyes glinted with killing intent.

It knew this creature well. Over a hundred day-cycles ago, before the dragon had ascended to the peak of the titan level, this ancient beast had invaded its domain several times.

Each time, it would devour millions from the dragon’s vassal races, destroy several cities, and then finally withdraw.

Only after the dragon reached the peak of the titan level and grasped a sliver of principle power—enough to shatter the hardened mountain-like layers covering the creature’s body—did the invasion stop.

Once those external mountains were destroyed, the creature had to consume its dwindling origin to regenerate. Compared to replenishing through the life force of a few million ordinary beings, the cost far outweighed the gain.

Roar!

The projection of the Azure-White Dragon roared once more. Instantly, furious winds howled across heaven and earth. Endless cold energy gathered toward it, saturating the skies with the aura of principle.

Boom!

From the sky above, a breath of icy white energy, hundreds of meters thick, shot forth. Everything that it passed over was frozen solid, transformed into shimmering crystals that spiraled across a stretch of hundreds of kilometers.

The absolute zero degree breath struck the ancient creature’s back. Frigid energy surged like a tidal wave and engulfed most of its body, freezing and crushing it.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The rocky material that once withstood the fused breath of the Dragon Emperor, with only a crater hundreds of meters wide to show for the effort, now crumbled and collapsed layer by layer.

In mere moments, an entire surface layer on the ancient creature had been obliterated, shattered into countless frozen crystals that scattered in every direction and formed dazzling bands of multicolored light around it.

The ancient creature let out a guttural roar, its mouth slowly opening.

Boom!

An immense suction force erupted without warning. Heaven and earth trembled. The land below, spanning over ten kilometers, cracked apart. Dirt, rubble, and trees were pulled upward in a massive column.

As more and more matter was devoured, the ancient creature’s body swelled rapidly. Much of the previously shattered rocky exterior had already regenerated.

This time, the Azure-White Dragon drew upon the power of the heaven and earth within its domain, forming an extended breath imbued with the essence of extreme cold. The attack continued for over twenty minutes.

When the breath finally ceased, the land ahead had vanished. In its place was a massive crater over a hundred kilometers wide, at the bottom of which lay the enormous creature.

The dragon's gaze grew colder as it let out a thunderous roar that shook the entire world. You dare to invade again? Let me see today whether your remaining origin outlasts the power of heaven and earth I command.

Boom!

The projection of the colossal dragon shone with radiant azure-white light. Instantly, the domain it had refined began to quake, and a river over fifty kilometers away from the ancient creature trembled and exploded.

That river, several kilometers wide, diverted course under the might of the principle, surging across the land. Towering tsunamis hundreds of meters high formed, roaring toward the ancient creature.

When the tsunami neared within ten kilometers, the river suddenly lifted into the sky. The water transformed into colossal icicles stretching over ten kilometers long and hurtled forward like divine spears, blotting out the heavens.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As the pure white ice pillars rained down, the ancient creature within the pit shuddered, then was entirely submerged beneath the incoming, endless waves.

Crack! Crack!

The floodwaters rapidly froze under the influence of the Azure-White Dragon's summoned principle and power of heaven and earth. In the blink of an eye, the night-shrouded land became a newly formed frozen mountain range stretching over a hundred kilometers.

This was the might of the Azure-White Colossal Dragon, a being on the verge of becoming an ancient titan.

Compared to the restrained clashes between the Celestial King and the demon god, the Azure-White Dragon stood tall within its own domain, unleashing devastating power drawn directly from heaven and earth.

With a mere gesture, it reshaped the landscape, and was capable of destroying all beneath the sky.

Wooo!

From within the frozen mountain range came a deep, long cry like a train whistle. Immediately after, the thousands-of-meters-thick ice encasing the ancient creature began to crack. Massive rifts spread across the surface like a spiderweb.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Glacial peaks imbued with traces of law power shattered violently, revealing the ancient creature beneath. Its rocky surface had already fractured several hundred meters deep.

Wooo!

Another long and resonant cry echoed as the ancient creature opened its massive jaws once more.

The earth within a radius of over ten kilometers crumbled from a horrifying suction force. Trees, soil, shattered ice, all were sucked into its maw, leaving behind a giant, gaping pit.

Whoosh!

Dense white mist billowed from the creature’s surface. Shrouded in this fog, its body expanded once again. The rock covering its form condensed anew, restoring much of the previously destroyed layer.

Due to its failed attempt to evolve into a true ancient spirit, the creature had become petrified, unable to use ranged attacks or any divine or innate abilities tied to the laws. It could only endure brute force head-on.

In exchange, however, its defense had reached unbreakable levels. The power of nearly perfected laws had seeped into the stone that made up its form, transforming it into an indestructible petrified body.

The deeper the stone, the stronger the law power it contained; the closer the stone was to its core, the tougher it became. Even the Azure-White Dragon’s attacks could only damage the outermost layers.

To kill such a petrified ancient existence, one would either need strength overwhelming enough to destroy the solidified core rocks, or crush its surface layer bit by bit, exhausting its remaining origins.

Once the origins ran dry, the creature would no longer be able to restore its rocky shell. A single penetrating blow could then deal it a fatal wound, though such a blow would still require a hole at least a kilometer wide.

After enduring consecutive strikes, the ancient creature slowly lifted its head. Its stone-like eyes glanced up at the hovering projection of the Azure-White Dragon, then resumed its forward march.

However, this time, its path subtly shifted, until it was moving along the outer edge of the dragon's territory.

It instinctively sensed that the territory ahead was enveloped in invisible law power. The deeper it went into that region, the denser the law power became, and the more damage it would suffer.

Seeing the ancient creature withdrawing from its territory and skirting its borders instead, the Azure-White Dragon remained indifferent and made no further moves.

It was at the final and most crucial step toward becoming an ancient titan, and it had no desire to waste time or origin power tangling with this highly defensive creature.

Still, a trace of doubt lingered in the dragon’s mind. It didn’t know where this ancient creature, which had already strayed far from its original resting grounds, was headed.
