Naked Sword Art-Chapter 376: Fruit of the Soul Devouring Method
The heavenly realm investigator looked at Xiao Fang with an unsettling gaze. He couldn't understand why, but the dark curse energy felt threatening to him.
[ Divine Sword: Splitting Sea ]
[ Divine Sword: Splitting Sea ]
Xiao Fang slashed through the air—one stroke from each sword. Twin crescents of black lightning howled toward the sky, tearing across the field with devastating force.
The Heavenly cultivator scoffed—but dodged.
A flicker—then he was gone. In the next moment, he appeared beside Xiao Fang. His fist, coated in dense Qi like a mist, before aiming straight at Xiao Fang's ribs.
Xiao Fang acted quickly.
[ Shadow Clone ]
Xiao Fang just barely blocked the punch with his upper arm, but the impact still crushed through his guard. His arm snapped under the pressure, and pain lanced through his ribs, as he was sent flying into the rocks, making Xiao Fang vomit blood. If an ordinary mortal were to get hit with such force, they certainly would've been dead.
The Cannibal Beast reacted instantly. It swung its spear with such brutal force, it created a sonic boom.
The man raised his fist again, dense Qi forming a barrier around it. He expected to deflect the blow—
But he was wrong.
BOOM!

The spear shattered his guard, the impact blasting him off his feet. He was launched through the trees like a missile.
{ "Throw it—now!" } Xiao Fang commanded through a spirit transmission, blood spilling from his lips.
The man was still mid-air, crashing through the trees like a comet when the Cannibal Abnormal Beast obeyed Xiao Fang's order without hesitation.
[ Javelin ]
The beast hurled the spear.
The man saw it coming—but before he could react—
[ Shadow Clone ]
[ Clone Duplication ]
Three clones exploded into being from the man's shadow and grabbed him before he could even hit the ground.
The man shouted. Then a devastating pulse of Qi erupted from his body, destroying everything within a 10 meter radius.
[ Clone Reanimation ]
The clones returned just as quickly as they were destroyed, and in the same instant, attempted to restrain him once more.
This all happened in a fraction of a second, just a single moment before the spear could reach them. There was no time to think, the spear was too quick.
The man twisted just slightly, but it wasn't enough.
For a heartbeat, everything was silent.
Then—
BOOM!
In the distance, a towering shockwave flattened trees and sent clouds of dirt spiraling high into the sky.
At the same time, Xiao Fang noticed something strange—His bleeding stopped.
Unexpectedly, a heat bloomed in his core.
His Golden Core pulsed—light flared in his dantian.
[ Rapid Regeneration ]
Bones began knitting together. Flesh reformed. Xiao Fang gritted his teeth, rising to his feet as his body restored itself with impossible speed.
But there was no time to marvel.
Xiao Fang approached and stood beside the Cannibal Abnormal Beast, wiping the blood from his lips. The more battles they shared, the more he appreciated the creature—not just for its overwhelming offense, but for its regenerative capabilities as well. This was the power of a Golden Core Beast Core… but also the fruit of the Soul Devouring Method.
He listened carefully, stretching his senses.
The man was still alive. Severely wounded, but alive. A deep gash ran from his left rib to his right chest, nicking his jaw along the way. It wasn't fatal—but it was close.
Xiao Fang narrowed his eyes. There was no way he'd risk facing that man again, even on his last leg. That one punch had nearly shattered his body. He didn't want to find out what else the man was capable of.
With a sharp breath, Xiao Fang recalled the beast into his body. Then, forming a [ Solid Clone ] with his spirit attribute Qi, he sent it bolting eastward—vanishing into the forest with incredible speed. Even a Heavenly Realm cultivator would have trouble catching it.
Meanwhile, Xiao Fang dove into a nearby lake. He swam silently to the bottom, activated a concealment inscription, and cloaked himself with [ Stealth ]. As long as he remained perfectly still, the formation would hold. He closed his eyes and calmed his breathing, vanishing into the murky silence below.
Moments later, the man rose from the devastated forest, fury burning in his eyes and blood dripping from open wounds. His chest was torn, his body aching—but none of it dulled his killing intent.
Two of Xiao Fang's [ Solid Clones ] arrived at the crash site and immediately lunged, aiming to finish the job.
With a growl, the man's muscles bulged and his spiritual aura surged outward, fracturing the very air around him. In a flash, he dashed through both clones, obliterating them with raw power. Without pause, he shot into the sky like a meteor, soaring above the treetops.
His gaze locked onto Xiao Fang's clone sprinting east, fast as lightning. And just like that—he gave chase.
Hidden deep beneath the lake's surface, Xiao Fang watched from the shadows, a chill creeping up his spine. If that man had wanted to kill him from the start, he could have. That fight… was a game to him.
Once the enemy was far enough away, Xiao Fang finally emerged from the water. He moved silently back to the crash site and retrieved his Dragon Dynasty Spear. The moment he did he felt his Clone get destroyed.
His brows tightened. No matter what, Xiao Fang couldn't afford to get hit by a full powered attack from him.
He couldn't waste any more time. Fortunately, the gap between them was still wide, and Xiao Fang's real body was faster than any clone. Still, just to be safe, he created another [ Solid Clone ] and sent it running south—while he veered west toward Jadepeak City.
[ Stealth ]
[ Drifting Cloud, Rising Wind ]
Moving like mist and wind, Xiao Fang reached the Eastern Gate in under a minute. He spotted Xiao Hei, grabbed her without a word, and vaulted over the rooftops toward the Northern Gate.
"Fang? What's wrong?" Xiao Hei asked, startled by the urgency.
"I'm being chased," he replied flatly.
That was enough for her. Her expression sharpened—if something could force Xiao Fang to run, it was no small threat. She scanned their surroundings, but saw no one yet.
Xiao Fang winced.
His second clone had been destroyed.
"He'll be in the city soon," Xiao Fang muttered under his breath.
They reached the Northern Gate just as he activated [ Soul Search ] to locate Luo Biya and her group. He found her quickly and approached without delay.
"Young Master, is this the friend you mentioned?" Luo Biya asked, glancing at Xiao Hei.
"Luo Biya, I'm sorry for the rush—but if we could leave now, that would be ideal," Xiao Fang said with a subtle hint of urgency in his voice.
Luo Biya had lived her entire life under the shadow of fear. She didn't need further explanation.
"Understood. Let's go… quickly."
