Chapter 255 - 254 : Deidara's Third Challenge!!
"You're careless. You didn't dodge, and now you have an excuse!"
Genya's eyes showed a hint of a smile as he looked at Deidara's stubborn, almost reckless attitude. There was no rush in his tone as he slowly spoke.
It was as if Genya had already predicted Deidara's change of heart. Well, it made sense. With Deidara's pride, how could he easily admit defeat, especially in front of his own brother?
Damn his desire to win. Right now, Deidara's feelings were complicated. He'd rather be beaten by his brother than let his brother call him "dad."
What's more, he'd been easily subdued by Genya several times already, and he still hadn't even used all his tricks.
He refused to accept it.
"Yeah, I was careless. I didn't dodge. If I did, you'd never have been my match. You wouldn't have been able to defeat me so easily."
Deidara still held his head high, his face full of arrogance.
"This time doesn't count. Let me stand on the clay bird and we'll fight again!"
Standing on the bird would make it harder for Genya to attack him.
Genya just smiled casually. "If that's the case, then let's have another fight!"
"Are you sure you want to fight me again?" Deidara heard Genya's words and was slightly stunned. He couldn't believe Genya was actually giving him another chance.
Didn't he fear that Deidara might win? Or maybe Genya thought he could still defeat him.
"Of course, isn't this what you wanted?" Genya said, looking at Deidara with a slightly helpless expression. "Isn't this what you wanted? Otherwise, you wouldn't still be so unwilling to accept it!"
With Deidara's personality, Genya knew that defeating him in this way was the only way to truly make him follow willingly.
"You're agreeing so easily?" Deidara couldn't believe it. He looked at Genya, somewhat irritated. "Are you underestimating me? This time, you might not win!"
Seeing Genya's indifferent attitude, Deidara became even more annoyed.
"Underestimate you or not, we'll just have to try and see," Genya nodded. "Who wins and who loses isn't certain yet."
Deidara: "..."
Not far away, Hikari and Uchiha Shin watched the battle, their beautiful eyes blinking in confusion.
Since the match began, it seemed like Deidara was doing nothing but useless actions, easily being subdued by Genya. She started to doubt Deidara's abilities.
After thinking for a moment, she turned to Uchiha Shin beside her: "Uncle Shin, do you think Genya-sama misjudged him? Deidara doesn't seem that strong, he looks so weak, and Genya-sama can easily defeat him!" fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Would someone like him drag down their team?
"Who knows? Let's keep watching. Maybe we'll see something special about this guy!" Uchiha Shin's eyes blinked as well. Though he had some doubts about Deidara's strength, he still trusted Genya's judgment.
If Genya was right, Deidara could reach a level beyond the Kage in the future, but he would need proper training.
Looking at Deidara's current performance, his battle power was still too weak. Especially his clay bombs, which had a natural weakness— they were afraid of lightning chakra.
If he really fought against a lightning-type ninja, it would be a natural counter, and his power would be reduced by at least half.
"There's no way Genya-sama could be wrong. This clay guy might seem strange, but he definitely has something special!" Hikari nodded seriously, then looked back at Genya and Deidara's fight.
She was paying close attention to the upcoming battle.
Deidara, who had been captured twice by Genya, what other tricks did he have left?
On the other side, Deidara and Genya were still at a standstill. Deidara was extremely dissatisfied with how Genya underestimated him and kept complaining.
"Genya... you're looking down on me! You're looking down on my art!" Deidara seemed a bit aggrieved, and this was a line he had repeated many times.
He, Deidara, was a genius ninja from the Land of Earth. At such a young age, his strength had already surpassed that of a Chūnin, but in just a short time, he had been controlled twice by Genya.
He was feeling wronged, helpless!
It was laughable that he had once called his art invincible.
"Brother Deidara, it's not that I look down on you. I just said that your art is beautiful, but it has many flaws that need improvement!" Genya said seriously, looking at Deidara.
"Come with me, I can help you develop new explosive ninjutsu and take your strength to the next level."
"Hmph, talk to me after you beat me!" Deidara was a bit speechless upon hearing that his art had flaws, but at this moment, he had no real way to counter.
After all, Genya had easily subdued him, and it was frustrating.
"I still have many powerful techniques left. If you think you're so great, let me unleash all my moves and see if you can handle my attacks!"
"Fine. You can try all your attacks!" Genya nodded. This worked out well; it would allow him to better understand Deidara's weaknesses. When they returned, there would be material and direction for their research.
Either way, Deidara was going with him today.
"Genya, are you sure? One thing, though—I need to make it clear that you can't use genjutsu against me in this fight!" After hearing Genya's agreement, Deidara made another request.
"I got it!" Genya nodded, looking at the still unwilling Deidara. "Do your best. Let me experience your true strength!"
"You said it!" Deidara's expression grew serious as he looked at Genya. "Now I'm really going all out!"
With that,
Deidara's clay began to consume rapidly, white smoke billowing away to reveal a huge clay dragon—slightly chubby, but with large wings.
He flew up and stood atop the clay dragon, looking down from above.
At this moment, he felt an overwhelming sense of safety.
Even if Genya used the Earth Swamp, he could fly up immediately, so he wasn't afraid at all.
"Trying to take to the air?" Genya watched Deidara, his eyes holding a faint smile. He also wanted to see how much strength Deidara could show without being completely overwhelmed.
"Not before you see this!" Deidara said calmly, then tossed out a pile of explosive clay. The clay took the form of two very abstract, anime-like clay dolls.
The back of the clay dolls was connected to Deidara by a clay thread, allowing the dolls to move more flexibly.
This is another form of art developed by Deidara, inspired by the Puppet Technique.
"Controllable clay puppets?" Genya squinted his eyes as he observed everything, a smile flashing in his gaze.
I have to admit,
Deidara's creative talent is truly impressive. If it weren't for his weak mental resistance to illusions and the weakness against lightning chakra, his achievements would have been taken to the next level.
This clay puppet is one such example.
"Genya, are you ready? I'm coming!" Deidara stood on the back of the clay dragon, a smile curling on his lips, and his expression had regained confidence.
The last two times, he had been subdued by Genya before he even got to use his own techniques. This time, it would be different. He had made full preparations, and he wouldn't lose.
"Come at me!" Genya nodded, and without notice, a kunai appeared in his hand.
"Go!"
Deidara shouted, controlling two clay puppets to attack Genya. "Be careful."
