Natsuki had almost forgotten about it. Seeing Naruto was what made it come back to him.

Logically speaking, after the nine tailed beasts were absorbed by the Ten-Tails, they should've been sealed away together with Kaguya-sama.

But Natsuki didn't believe that old Six Paths geezer hadn't left a backup plan.

Sure enough, Naruto quickly said, "I know! After you and Tenten left, Sasuke and I got called over by the old Sage of Six Paths again. He summoned all nine tailed beasts back—Kurama and the others. The Sage told me and Sasuke to make proper arrangements so the tailed beasts can live the way they want. As long as they don't harm the shinobi world, humans aren't allowed to interfere."

Sasuke picked up the thread. "I promised that I'd return freedom to it once everything was over. But I'm worried someone with bad intentions will capture and seal it again, so I'm planning to bring it up at the postwar debrief meeting."

With the war over, a summary conference was inevitable.

And since representatives from every village would be there, it was the perfect time to raise the issue.

When two Six Paths–level powerhouses like Naruto and Sasuke spoke, nobody else would—or dare—object. From that point on, the tailed beasts could finally be free.

Of course, some tailed beasts might choose to stay and continue helping humans.

That would be up to them. Either way, humans couldn't force the tailed beasts—and the tailed beasts couldn't casually harm humans. Peaceful coexistence was best.

Hearing that, Natsuki finally let out a breath.

With the tailed beasts settled, maybe tragedies born from "human nature" wouldn't happen again.

They hadn't been talking long before Ay, Ōnoki, Mei, and the others came over too. Mainly, they wanted to chat with Natsuki's group. After all, these were the heroes who'd saved the shinobi world, and they were ridiculously strong. No matter how village relations shifted in the future, being on good terms with them was never a bad move.

Ōnoki still hadn't forgotten his "plan."

Natsuki already had a partner, so Ōnoki couldn't do anything there—but Neji, Sasuke, and Naruto didn't, so naturally he started aggressively promoting his granddaughter, Kurotsuchi.

"Neji, kid—you don't have a partner yet, right? Old man can tell at a glance. You're handsome as hell, and my granddaughter Kurotsuchi is heroic, cool, and pretty. She's absolutely the top pick. Want to consider it?"

"Naruto—when I first saw you, I knew you weren't ordinary. And sure enough, you've soared. You definitely don't have a partner yet, right? My granddaughter Kurotsuchi is great and very pretty—you know her too, don't you? I'll talk to your dad directly about this. Also, Karin and Kurotsuchi are trying to get along…"

"Sasuke—my little… blah blah blah…"

The old man's abacus beads were basically bouncing off everyone's faces. The whole group was speechless.

Off to the side, Kurotsuchi felt both mortified and furious, and she immediately punched her own grandpa.

Even more absurd—Mei straight-up recommended herself.

"You handsome boys, don't listen to that old fossil Ōnoki. What's so good about Kurotsuchi, that little brat? If you're looking for someone, you should be looking for a big sister like me. So? Want to seriously consider it?"

That was unbelievably bold, and it made Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji stare toward the heavens in utter defeat.

But what could you do? A woman desperate to marry wasn't going to overthink it. She just wanted a good man to date and marry. What was there to be shy about?

Even more unexpectedly… Sasuke actually showed a thoughtful expression.

Sakura completely lost control. She rushed over, planted herself in front of Mei, and bared her teeth like an angry cat. "You old hag! Don't you dare set your sights on Sasuke-kun!"

"O-old hag?!" Mei's face froze. "You little brat actually dared to jump in—listen here, I'm at the age where I'm gorgeous like a blooming flower! I've got the looks, I've got the figure—of course little boys like me. And you? Look at you, flat as a board. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were a guy."

Sakura's head practically started smoking. This old hag actually called her flat—she was still growing, okay?!

Mei refused to back down, glaring right back.

It turned into a full-on farce, and it was so entertaining people couldn't look away.

Natsuki and Tenten were cracking sunflower seeds, watching like they were addicted, and everyone else copied them—turns out sunflower seeds really were dangerously addictive.

Later, someone suggested playing Ninja Killer, so the whole group started playing together. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

It was Hashirama, Tobirama, and Minato's first time touching a card game like that. They ended up having an absolute blast. When they heard there were even character cards for the Hokage, they got even more excited.

The other villages' Kage watched with envy. So they came to the inventor—Natsuki—and demanded that he hurry up and design character cards for them, too.

Natsuki had no objections, and he was one hundred percent supportive.

Before, he'd avoided designing shinobi character cards from other villages because he worried it would spark conflict. But now that they were personally requesting it, there was no need to hold back. He could update the card set right away—and conveniently make another pile of money.

He certainly wasn't going to complain about earning too much.

Before anyone realized it, the night-long celebration banquet was over. Everyone had had a great time, and one by one they found places to crash.

But once they woke up, they quickly cleaned up, and the higher-ups from each village gathered in the conference room to begin the postwar summary meeting for the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Attendees included not only the Kage, but also a number of special figures.

Like Natsuki, Sasuke, Neji, and Naruto—the four main heroes—along with the three revived Hokage: Hashirama, Tobirama, and Minato. There was also Mifune representing the Land of Iron, Fū representing Takigakure, Konan representing the Land of Rain, and Orochimaru representing the Land of Rice Fields.

Of course, the ones with seats were just the "main" attendees. The people without seats still had to attend from the back.

On Konoha's side, Tenten, Shino, and Shikamaru were all there. Guards from the other villages were present as well—Darui, Kurotsuchi, Chōjūrō, Temari, and others.

Ay, as commander-in-chief of the Allied forces, spoke first. "Ahem! Everyone, we achieved victory in this war. We celebrated last night. Now it's time to summarize. Our objectives, our process, our meaning—and discussions about certain postwar matters. We need to put everything on the table."

Everyone nodded. These were the real, practical issues.

Especially the "postwar matters"—profit distribution, the future relationship between nations and villages, and so on. All of it had to be discussed.

Better to settle it early rather than drag it out until something went wrong.

Tsunade, as the Allied forces' strategist, continued. "This war was initiated by Obito, who worked with Madara and Kabuto to seize the tailed beasts, merge them into the Ten-Tails, and activate the Infinite Tsukuyomi. But the truth was that Black Zetsu was plotting to release the progenitor of chakra, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, bringing catastrophe upon the shinobi world.

"Our Eightfold Allied Forces fought through blood and fire and finally overcame the enemy. And because Madara repented and revived the fallen soldiers, the losses in this war were extremely small. That is something we should be happy about."
