Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 181
Chapter 181 - 181
No one expected the tournament to end in such a dramatic way. Even Zixu was speechless.
"No, you guys better act more realistically. You're making it really difficult for me."
With all the other contestants eliminated, the Whirlpool Country naturally swept all the awards. As the saying goes, good things should be kept within the family. Those prizes were of little use to Hyuga Chinano and the others, so it was better to hand them over to the newcomers.
The result of the match was already clear. Without the overwhelming force of Aburame Hatsuizumi and the other elite fighters, this battle turned into a real combat drill for the Whirlpool Country.
At first, the audience was frustrated by the lack of an intense battle, but thanks to the commentator's passionate commentary, their emotions were reignited.
"The fights between these guys are actually pretty fun."
Different from the dazzling ninjutsu battles between traditional shinobi, their fights had a beauty to them like fireworks in the sky. Mechanical warriors with bodies partially clad in steel, blending cutting-edge tech with taijutsu—each punch and kick radiated the elegance of technology.
There were also gunsmiths, unleashing a full range of artillery and machine guns, demonstrating the philosophy that "truth lies within range and justice is in the caliber." The wild laughter in the middle of gunfire and the clashing steel of mechas showcased the raw power of modern tech to the world.
Hyuga Chinano and the others had already left the battlefield. The rest was up to those behind the scenes. Before heading off, Aburame Hatsuizumi still felt uneasy and sent a bug to scan the field again. Only after Karin confirmed there were no issues did shee finally come down.
Zixu had been waiting for them off the court. Arms crossed, left foot tapping the ground, he was at a loss for words.
Seeing the innocent looks on Aburame Hatsuizumi and the others' faces, he swallowed back whatever he was about to say. He exhaled and pinched the cheek of Aburame Hatsuizumi, who looked especially guilty.
"Come on, that's enough. Just act more realistically next time."
Hyuga Chinano and Karin both let out relieved sighs. Karin almost collapsed from exhaustion.
Zixu caught Karin just before she hit the ground and placed his hand on her forehead. She wasn't sick—just worn out.
"Don't move. I'll inject some life energy into you." Zixu placed his other hand on her forehead, transferring a golden, life-filled energy into her body. Karin blushed, breathing heavily.
"Zixu's life essence... it's flowing in..." She clung to his neck, her warm breath making his skin tingle.
"Hey, hey! Don't say weird stuff like that. You'll summon the beast of censorship." Zixu wiped imaginary sweat off his brow.
"Anyway, this tournament's basically over. We've hit our target. The nearby villages are siding with us for now. Next up is setting up the Akatsuki organization." Zixu caught Hyuga Chinano glancing at him and preemptively answered her unspoken question.
"Alright," Hyuga Chinano nodded. Then, Aburame Hatsuizumi stepped closer, clearly guilty.
"Um, Zixu~" She looked like a husky caught wrecking the house.
Zixu stared at her. "You swallowed the Three-Tails, didn't you? And didn't bother to tell me? Anything else?"
Under his gaze, Aburame Hatsuizumi nerves were fried. The crazy side she showed in public vanished in front of Zixu. She fidgeted and looked down.
"Well... I always thought tailed beasts would revive eventually, but now... something feels off."
"Okay, I'm gonna tell you something. Try not to freak out," she added mysteriously, catching everyone's curiosity.
"We've seen enough. As long as you're not gonna say you became a Jinchūriki after eating the Three-Tails," said Zixu while stretching his shoulders.
"Not quite," Aburame Hatsuizumi shook her head. That relieved Zixu a bit, but what she said next threw them off.
"My bugs might've become jinchuuriki..."
"???"
Zixu's eyebrows twitched. Wait, she wasn't the Jinchūriki—her bugs were? Wasn't that a Mushichūriki?
"I'm not sure either, but they've shown signs of the Three-Tails' chakra. Still, it feels incomplete, like something's missing. I've never seen its spirit world either," Aburame Hatsuizumi added quickly.
"Okay, study it more. If anything seems off, let us know. Worst case, we'll destroy the bugs or seal them. We're stronger than the old Akatsuki anyway, there's no reason we can't handle a tailed beast."
The ninja from Whirlpool Country went all out on the battlefield. The City of Technology lived up to its name. It broadened the views of shinobi from every village and let the daimyos witness the might of technological weaponry.
"Too bad we can't harness that kind of power," sighed the Daimyo of the Fire Nation. The event was nearly over—they had to prepare to leave.
The final match was wrapping up. The scorched arena was filled with smoke and ash, and the last one standing was the victor.
A little girl with purple hair stood up shakily. She no longer had the strength to summon, only enough to walk to the arena's center.
"Let's congratulate our final winner—Hydrangea!"
The crowd erupted in applause. She had fought from start to finish, combining summoning techniques with high-tech armor and spirit firearms. Her victory was well-earned.
Zixu stepped out to personally award her. Others would receive prizes too, based on rankings calculated by the stadium's surveillance system.
The transparent stadium revealed a stone podium rising from the ground. Zixu approached Hydrangea with a box in hand. Out of habit, he gently patted her head.
"Mm..." Hydrangea flushed. Even after all that, she was still shy in front of a crowd.
"This is your prize. More will be delivered to your home. If you have a request, you can make one. I'll grant it if it's within my power." Zixu handed her the box containing a Devil Fruit, and with a snap, fire rose around them, making the scene feel dreamlike.
"Damn it, I want Zixu to grant my wish too!" Karin grumbled in the stands, biting her handkerchief.
"Come on, your wish probably wouldn't pass review. Besides, just ask Zixu yourself. He rarely refuses you," Aburame Hatsuizumi shrugged.

"That's true..."
Hydrangea stood quietly for a moment, deep in thought. Then, she smiled warmly.
"My wish is... world peace
