"Why... why are you doing this?" Naruto glared at Pain, anger flickering in his eyes.

"You have hatred in your heart, but that doesn't concern me. Only through hatred can we move toward peace..." Pain's voice remained distant, calm, like a divine judgment passed from the heavens.

"No way! Real peace doesn't come from this!" Naruto growled, teeth clenched. This was insane. Was this the kind of peace Pain wanted to bring? He would never accept it.

"Then what is your goal?" Pain asked, showing a trace of curiosity.

"To defeat you—and then bring true peace to the ninja world!" Naruto declared with firm resolve, though it would've sounded more convincing if he weren't pinned down under Pain's foot.

"Is that so? That's quite something. This is justice! But you Konoha shinobi, who destroyed my home, killed my friends, and wiped out my village... You have no right to speak of peace and justice." Pain's tone was flat, like he was recounting the weather—not genocide.

"What... what's going on...?" Naruto's eyes faltered. There was something in Pain's words... something that made him waver.

"The Land of Fire and Konoha are already too powerful. To maintain their wealth, they wage war on other nations. They have to take from others to keep themselves from starving. But it's always the small nations, the small villages like ours, that get turned into battlefields."

"Every time a war breaks out, our land is trampled, devastated. The great nations emerge from these wars stronger, more stable... but we're left with only pain. You and I share the same dream—peace, just like Jiraiya-sensei envisioned. There's no difference between us. We're both fighting for our own version of justice. The justice you fight for as a Konoha ninja... is no different from mine."

Watching his two students clash over the nature of peace, Jiraiya felt a storm of emotions inside.

"The pain of losing those you love—it's the same no matter who you are. You and I, we both carry that pain. We fight for justice... but justice fueled by revenge only breeds more hatred."

"And when revenge becomes justice... it creates an endless cycle of hate. That hate never dies—it just passes from one to the next. History proves it. No matter the era, humanity fails to truly understand one another. The ninja world runs on hatred..."

"If it were you, Naruto—how would you face that hatred to bring true peace? Let me hear your answer."

"...I don't know."

"I created the Akatsuki to stop this cycle. I believed I could break it. To do that, I need the power of the Kyūbi (Nine-Tails). By collecting the power of all the Bijū (Tailed Beasts), I'll create a weapon... a weapon powerful enough to annihilate an entire nation in one strike."

Pain spoke his truth, cold and resolute.

"I'll make the world understand true pain. That fear—true pain—will stop war and bring peace."

"That kind of peace... it's a lie!" Naruto snapped. He couldn't wrap his head around Pain's twisted logic.

"Humans aren't that smart. Without pain, there's no peace. Eventually, the pain fades, people forget, and war returns. Then comes more pain... and another fleeting peace. In that never-ending chain of hate, even temporary peace is worth creating. That's my vision."

"Peace is within reach—but first, you must understand pain."

Pain slowly rose into the sky, the remaining bodies of the Six Paths of Pain collapsing one after the other. Sensing a deadly shift in the air, Jiraiya instantly rushed forward to pull Naruto to safety.

"...He's planning something massive," Jiraiya muttered, frowning. A large-scale jutsu. If he unleashed it, Konoha would be wiped out.

"Feel the pain. Experience it. Accept it. Understand it. Only those who know pain can understand peace."

From high in the sky, Pain looked down at Konoha. His body seemed small from that height—but the village beneath him, even smaller. Then the force erupted.

A terrifying surge of repulsive energy exploded outward from Pain's position. The sky darkened. From the ground, only his glowing purple Rinnegan could be seen, like a god of judgment.

The shockwave tore through Konoha. Buildings shattered, crumbled like paper... and were erased from existence.

Ichiraku Teuchi, owner of the famous Ichiraku Ramen, was known for his warm smile and calm nature. After every mission, countless shinobi stopped by his stall. It was more than food—it was home.

Now, Pain had come. Konoha was under siege.

Just moments ago, a boy wrapped in a glowing green-blue aura had dashed into the shop, saying he was there to protect them.

Teuchi recognized that aura—the Hachimon Tonkō no Jin (Eight Gates Formation). But why would this boy protect him?

Before he could ask, the ground quaked violently. It felt like an invisible god was shoving everything aside, erasing the village one building at a time.

Teuchi smiled bitterly. He understood now. But against this power... who could survive?

Shaking his head, he walked back into the kitchen. If he was going to die, he might as well go doing what he loved—cooking ramen.

Then, a black kunai engraved with strange seals embedded itself in the stall. In a flash, a red-haired figure materialized in front of the boy.

"Hmm... ramen? Haven't had that in a while. And this brat... looks familiar."

Uzumaki Zixu scratched his head. This damn Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique) was hard as hell to learn. His head felt like it'd been through a math lecture at the Academy.

"You, kid. Stay put. You haven't trained the Eight Gates enough to be jumping into fights."

The little boy's eyes widened as he recognized him. "Boss!"

"One ramen! Add an egg! I'll pay later!" Zixu shouted to Teuchi and vanished again in a flash.

When he reappeared, he was floating in front of Pain, unfazed by the godlike force pressing around them.

"Leader of the Akatsuki, huh? Let me introduce myself."

He smiled.

"I'm Uzumaki Zixu—the one who's gonna crush your damn organization."
