Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 220
Chapter 220 - 220
"Zixu has been notified, but he seems to have run into some trouble..." Aburame Hatsuizumi looked at the drowsy Den Den Mushi and prepared to go out and meet the enemy.
The land of whirlpool in the Sky had been transformed by them into a fully fortified war citadel. Though it was unclear how it compared to ancient weapons like Pluto from the Pirate World, it was more than enough to handle those White Zetsu.
The protective barrier surrounding the fortress hadn't been lifted yet, and Rossinanti was still maintaining it. Atop the city wall, Jin'an led his sniper squad in targeting the enemy leaders below. While Hyuga Chihano wasn't too familiar with tactical operations, she was incredibly proficient with her Gatling gun—so all she had to do was aim and rain bullets down from above.
Aburame Hatsuizumi moved like a fish returning to the sea, releasing a swarm of black beetles across the battlefield. These insects devoured everything in their path. She was curious to see how they would evolve after feeding on these strange White Zetsu.
The White Zetsu forces didn't expect this mechanical fortress to be so impenetrable. Unable to approach it directly, they resorted to launching long-range attacks using the venomous stingers on their bodies. Yet with Karin acting as a combat medic, the damage from the poisonous barbs wasn't too effective.
Boom!
A loud explosion echoed in front of the fortress wall. A familiar figure appeared before Hyuga Chinano and the others. Although immortality and Impure World Reincarnation (Edo Tensei) weren't the best match for him, Deidara had still been summoned. And despite his opposition to such mindless destruction, he was under someone else's control and couldn't resist.
"I'll let you experience true art once again!" he shouted. Pulling back his red cloak, he revealed a small clay ball with facial features beginning to split. Deidara's already-cracked skin fractured further, and white light burst from his body. The intense energy surged outward, threatening to swallow everyone nearby—
"Barrier..." a lazy voice muttered.
The explosion didn't stop—but something strange happened. The blast aimed at Sky Castle suddenly halted, blocked by an invisible barrier. The other side, however, wasn't spared. White Zetsu were torn to pieces by their own ally's detonation.
The scorched ash began to swirl and reform—those resurrected through Edo Tensei.
A group of Devil Fruit users lingered far behind. Strangely, their leader was a little boy in a pink kimono with a topknot. There was something about him that made people instinctively want to punch him. He had the aura of a brat who invited trouble.
Most of his followers were dressed as samurai, blades strapped to their waists. Despite his appearance, they seemed to regard this child—Momonosuke—as their leader.
"Young Master, what should we do?" asked a mustached man kneeling beside him. They had been dragged into the chaos before they even understood where they were.
Momonosuke stuttered, "R-Run... Run away. The enemy looks really strong. If it doesn't work... just surrender..."
He was completely overwhelmed. Allies who exploded without warning, enemies who ripped off heads with poisoned spikes, undead beings coming back to life with terrifying powers—this was more horrifying than the Beasts Pirates. There was no point in fighting. Might as well just give up.
"Young Master! Get a grip!" Kin'emon encouraged him, eyes burning with admiration. "You can lead us to victory! Just like Lord Kozuki Oden did!"
But Momonosuke wiped his tears, ran into a woman's arms, and wailed, "It's too scary! I can't do it!"
The woman, although confused by the crying child in her embrace, gently patted his head. "Cheer up. Be a man and stop crying."
She didn't notice the mischievous glint in Momonosuke's eyes. "Hehe... So soft... hehehe..."
Just as he was indulging in this fantasy, a small insect crawled silently up his sleeve.
Aburame Hatsuizumi smiled faintly from afar. She didn't know why, but the moment she saw that brat in the crowd, she instinctively knew how she wanted to deal with him. It was a strange gut feeling, but she didn't care. She didn't give a damn about most people. She only listened to Uzumaki Zixu and a select few. The rest? Let them sleep, for all she cared—it was just noise to her.
Suddenly, Momonosuke felt a sharp pain in his arm. Groaning, he reluctantly peeled himself away from the woman's chest and rolled up his sleeve to reveal a red welt.
"Where did that bug come from?" he spat, swatting it away.
What he didn't realize was that a cluster of tiny white larvae had already begun burrowing into his skin. He felt nothing—almost like he'd been anesthetized.
Boom!
A smoke bomb detonated among Momonosuke's group, throwing them into chaos. Though the cloud obscured everything, Kin'emon instinctively shielded Momonosuke.
"Don't worry, Young Master! Even if I die, I won't let anything happen to you! That's what Lord Oden would have wanted!"
There was a strange noise behind him—but it faded quickly.
"Young Master? Are you okay?" Kin'emon asked, feeling for him.
"I'm fine... very fine..." Momonosuke replied, his expression now eerily sinister.
---
Momonosuke barely remembered what happened next. In a cloud of smoke, he was taken away. He wanted to scream, but couldn't move. His organs felt frozen. Even his heart skipped a beat.
When he woke again, several women stood around him.
"What do we do with this one?"
"No idea. I don't even know why he was on the battlefield."
"Is he dead? If so, just bury him."
From their conversation, it seemed like they didn't know who he was. There was still hope!
"B-Big sisters... I..." Momonosuke opened his eyes and began to speak—but when he saw the beautiful women, he froze, wide-eyed and drooling.
He wiped his mouth and looked at Aburame Hatsuizumi and the others with exaggerated puppy-dog eyes.
"I-I'm lost... It was so scary out there! They tried to kill me!" he sobbed, turning toward Hyuga Chinano—guessing she might be the strongest.
Hyuga Chinano resisted the urge to punt the kid into the sky and exchanged a look with Hatsuizumi.
Hatsuizumi moved casually, causing Momonosuke to stumble forward. She caught him by the collar and stood him up straight. Her gentle smile masked something far more sinister.
Momonosuke felt a chill despite her sweet expression.
But surrounded by beautiful women and tender affection, he thought to himself—This must be heaven!
