Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 366: Chaos Law
"The part I am missing is the Chaos Law." Grey’s eyes suddenly brightened, then darkened just as quickly.
It was so simple that he hadn’t thought of it.
Initially, Grey theorized it was related to the Law of Time, but it wasn’t that.
It was the Chaos Law.
And now, he could sense the Chaos Law from beyond the barrier.
The thing he wanted.
Without hesitation, Grey activated his Origin Insight. He was immediately stunned.
"Is this a 5-star formation?" Grey was thoroughly dumbfounded.
Layers upon layers of array diagrams and complex runes, matching the workings of the Heavens themselves, were inscribed into the barrier with no end in sight. Just looking at it caused Grey’s mind to take a significant load, to the point where he directly began to store the data into his servers.
"A 5-star barrier. I can break it if you want, Grey," Fragment appeared and said.
"No need," Grey smiled.
He stretched both hands forward. A purple aura immediately erupted from him, and his white hair fluttered in the wind as Nexus Energy surged toward the 5-star formation barrier.
Shudder.
The entire Northern Continent began to shake slightly the instant the Nexus Energy made contact.
As he was now, he might not be able to create a 5-star formation, but removing one was a completely different matter.
The Origin Insight helped massively, and the server storing the information of the formation caused his comprehension to stir.
[Your comprehension defies the Heavens! By observing the ’Heaven Parting Barrier’, you have successfully comprehended the ’Heaven Severing Barrier’.]
"A Heaven Severing Barrier?"
"What was that?" Fragment asked.
"Nothing."
Grey’s eyes flickered with surprise as he reviewed the content of the barrier he obtained from the comprehension.
The barrier he received was effectively different from the Heaven Parting Barrier. The one placed here merely ensured that nobody could detect or see the contents inside it. The one he received allowed him to sever the connection with the Heavenly Dao from the place where the barrier was set.
Just as quickly, the barrier surrounding the area began to crack slowly.
He now understood the formation by heart.
Boom! Crack!
With a final push, the barrier effortlessly broke down with explosive, blinding light shooting everywhere.
There were almost three million, three thousand, and four hundred fifty convergence points in this formation. He covered the barrier with Nexus Energy and broke them all at once.
The difference was immense. A 2-star formation would have one or two convergence points so energy could be disrupted smoothly, but this one had over three million. The entire array was multi-layered and much more compact than 2-star formations.
To inscribe such array diagrams and runes, one would need to reach a higher level of existence.
"This Tian Yuan is not simple at all."
"Is he a 6th or 7th Ranker?" Grey remembered him calling them mortals, and he even knew about the gods. He was no ordinary individual.
Soon, the explosive blinding light subsided and revealed a small, ancient pagoda.
It was suspended in the air and held no signs of aging.
"Impressive," Grey said with a smile.
On the side, the Northern Continent’s powerhouse stared in shock.
"He effortlessly broke it down." She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
For thousands of years, her ancestors and she herself had combined their efforts trying to break the barrier or even enter it. But this man made only one move, and it broke.
If she didn’t fully believe that Grey was on a completely different level before, she did now.
"You stay there," Grey said, glancing at the powerhouse.
"Yes, I will keep guard," the powerhouse replied with a nod.
With that, Grey swiftly entered the pagoda.
As soon as he entered the pagoda, he felt the power of the Chaos Law even more prominently.
In the dead center was a huge pillar inscribed with an alien language Grey couldn’t understand.
[Your comprehension defies the Heavens! By observing the Heaven Origin Language, you have successfully comprehended it.]
Immediately, Grey understood the language.
[The Heavens must burn.]
[It must burn.]
[It is the price they have to pay.]
[I, as the Heaven’s Origin and its key to the higher world, will make sure the path of ascension is severed!]
[That is my, Heaven’s Origin’s, wish.]
[The Heavens and the endless reality will burn together as I transcend to the Ascendant Domain.]
Immediately, the space around Grey and the Fragment shifted.
They were now in what appeared to be empty space.
Two people appeared all of a sudden; one Grey immediately recognized.
Tian Yuan.
"It looks like we are inside a sub-dimension with a past recording of events."
"Yeah." Grey, having achieved Space Transformation, held authority over the creation of sub-dimensions hence he understood there was no danger here.
Right now, his sub-dimension was very small and could at best create one secret realm inside it, but he was satisfied with what he had. It would naturally increase with his realm of power.
"The other guy kinda looks like the Emperor of the Yellow Dragon Kingdom, doesn’t he?"
"Yeah. Should be his ancestor," Grey said with a thoughtful look.
They were both staring at each other, then Tian Yuan spoke indifferently.
"I am leaving behind this altar. This altar is my connection to this world."
As he said that, he snapped his fingers, and a crack formed in reality.
"This will act as a gateway for me to enter here once more, and it will automatically appear when the altar is active."
"This is connected to the Chaos outside this world and where the endless reality lies."
"Do not enter it under any circumstances. Not even a 6th or 7th Rank being can survive it."
"And do not forget my instruction. Spread the path like I’ve instructed, and you will get a role in my new world."
"As you command."
The sub-dimension crumbled, and they were right back at the spot where they began.
"The altar is what allows him to come back, huh?" Grey grinned.
He waited no longer.
Boom!
His figure shot forward as sonic booms erupted, and in a split second, he was right next to the altar with Tian Yuan’s rantings still fresh in his mind.
He struck his leg down fiercely, and it broke apart into pieces.
Immediately, the space beyond the altar shattered, and a crack appeared.
"Watch out, Grey, the chaotic current outside this world is coming in."
"I know."
