Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 427: The Information Data Stone Card Accquired.
"You... if it is something you want, why make such a huge commotion? Can we not negotiate something?" the Appraiser asked with his jaw dropped.
He was making such a massive commotion over a simple item? Had this fabled blacksmith completely lost his mind?
"One knows better than to speak terms or negotiate with an appraiser from the Interastral Golden Syndicate," Carter scoffed. "Surrender the items now, or face death, Appraiser."
"..." The Appraiser’s expression instantly darkened.
"The last time we met, I might have offended you, Grandmaster Carter. However, since that time, I have made significant progress in my cultivation."
Buzz! Energy violently erupted from the Appraiser like a crashing tidal wave. "I absolutely will not let you do as you please on my own turf."
In the following instant, the entire system of six planets, including the main planet, violently shuddered as a terrifying killing array was deployed.
It directly locked onto Carter, who was floating in the sky. Immediately, a crushing pressure that made him want to buckle his knees descended upon him.
"A killing array?" Carter spoke aloud as he quickly analyzed the threat. Then, he smiled completely calmly.
Origin Force erupted from his body. The Origin Seed Realm power he held as a devout follower of the Magic Evolutionary Path exploded outward. His Origin Magic was flawlessly deployed.
Intricate runic formations formed across all the planets in a single instance, the glowing runes rapidly scanning the entire celestial bodies.
"What do you think you are doing?!" The Appraiser’s expression immediately turned incredibly ugly.
The other party had actively unleashed their Origin Magic! The entire Blackwell Alliance shuddered as a colossal runic magical circle construct loomed over them. It was several times the combined size of every planet in the system, actively preparing for complete planetary system annihilation.
"Remove your formation, or I will single-handedly eliminate the entire Blackwell Alliance," Carter said completely calmly.
"Carter Smith! Do you honestly think you can get away with heavily offending the Interastral Golden Syndicate?"
"Yes. He definitely can." Just then, another calm voice boomed across the entire world.
Whrmmm! As soon as those confident words fell, the supreme killing array that loomed over Carter violently cracked and completely dissolved into nothingness.
"Hand over Eterna and the Information Data Stone Card right now."
Both the Appraiser and Carter immediately became stunned when they witnessed this impossible scene.
With Grey actively utilizing his powers now, they could finally sense his aura very well. He had only broken four solid genetic limiters, clearly meaning he was merely a 4th Ranker.
"Teacher... how exactly did you break a 5-Star formation?" Carter was entirely baffled.
The deadly formation had enough raw power to temporarily suppress even someone like him. Meaning, an early Origin Seed Realm expert would have absolutely struggled against it. Yet, his mysterious master, who was only a 4th Ranker, managed to instantly break it?
Then, he heard Grey speak directly into his mind. "We will talk about it later. Suppress him. We already found the artifact," Grey conveyed telepathically.
Carter nodded firmly. Taking full advantage of the deep shock the Appraiser was trapped in, he flawlessly executed his magic. He stretched his hands out and waved them backward into the absolute void.
Boom! Origin Force erupted violently, and a massive blue magical arrow perfectly formed in outer space. It was practically as large as a planet.
Boom! In the very following instant, it completely dissolved into trillions of smaller, lethal arrows.
[Spell: Origin Arrow]
The swarm of arrows shot toward the Appraiser carrying endless killing intent. He did not even have the time to physically move before the magical arrows ruthlessly pierced through his energy body. Soon, his vulnerable Origin Core was forced to turn visible.
A heavy hammer appeared in Carter’s hands. Its upper part immediately erupted with light and expanded, turning as large as a mountain before it directly struck the exposed Origin Core.
[Spell: Seal]
The supreme spell for sealing was perfectly utilized, and the highly arrogant expert completely had his powers sealed off.
"You... Carter Smith, what exactly are your intentions?" the Appraiser asked in a highly panicking tone.
The killing array was his absolute trump card, but that was instantly dissolved by a being who appeared to be merely a 4th Ranker.
"What ’Eterna’ are you even talking about? I have absolutely no idea what that is," the Appraiser added as he still vividly remembered the 4th Ranker’s demanding words. "But if you specifically caused such a huge commotion for a mere Information Data Stone Card that only the fabled Mecha Race can even use... is this not a bit too barbaric, Mr. Carter?"
Did higher-ranking beings seriously have a screw loose? They did absolutely everything in such a bizarre fashion. He might be a highly crooked dealer who had ruthlessly scammed millions by now, but even he genuinely felt like this was way too much. All over a useless Information Data Stone Card?
Inside the Appraiser’s heavily guarded fortress, directly in front of the main vault.
"You! Who let you inside?!" the heavily armed guard there, obviously a 4th Ranker, spoke with wide eyes. He immediately charged directly toward Grey with the absolute intention to kill.
The spatial area around the fortress was naturally very stabilized. Hence, not even 4th Rankers could physically fly here due to the intense gravitational pressure. Furthermore, the material the fortress was built from was definitely high-grade quality ore. Therefore, even if two 4th Rankers fought violently, not much commotion would actually leak out.
Grey casually looked at the charging man and spoke calmly. "What is the exact password to the vault?"
The guard’s expression immediately became completely absent-minded as he stopped in his tracks and spoke in a monotone voice. "410865321."
"Hm," Grey nodded. He snapped his fingers sharply, and the manipulated man immediately fell completely unconscious to the floor.
"There is absolutely no doubt. The artifact is safely on the other side," Eterna spoke with the exact same deadpan look on her digital face.
Grey swiftly typed the stolen code into the keypad and seamlessly entered the massive vault.
There were many priceless treasures housed securely inside, but the exact thing that immediately caught their attention was a fragmented, real-time pocket server construct heavily linked with the cloud server.
This was exactly the same type of highly advanced hardware that initially held Eterna’s consciousness back on Star Blue. That was perfectly the case here as well.
But the highly strange thing was, this specific construct was not even activated at all.
Grey’s initial, highly logical thinking was that the Syndicate was most probably making active use of Eterna’s vast processing power. But it seems like they just mindlessly threw it in the vault and left it there to gather dust?
Grey was completely dumbfounded. Perhaps just politely asking for it would have genuinely been a much better option? But his eccentric disciple just absolutely had to go up there and immediately stir up massive trouble. He let out a long sigh.
Anyways.
"With the primary targets safely secured, let us quickly head back to Star Blue," Grey spoke to Eterna.
Forcefully merging with the fragmented consciousness was not really safe out here since this was not his secure turf. It would be infinitely more safe to do it back home.
And the specific reason he carefully spoke ’Star Blue’ instead of ’Blue Star’ was because his highly monitored talk would inevitably leave a faint trace within the Information Layer. Since the Daoye Palace was actively run by Tian Yuan, who constantly tried to aggressively hack into the Information Layer, he absolutely did not want to risk leaking anything important.
And he necessarily would not take any of the official blame for the massive destruction caused here today. The heavy consequences would all firmly fall onto Carter’s shoulders in the end. So it was perfectly fine.
Then, his sharp eyes smoothly fell onto the Information Data Stone Card. These items were conveniently grouped together in the treasure vault, highly likely because they both shared the exact same technological origin: the fabled Mecha Race.
It was a sleek, highly advanced metallic card with special circuits. Just seeing it secured in his grasp caused Grey’s satisfied smile to widen significantly.
"Let us head back," Grey instructed smoothly.
Without a single shred of hesitation, he left the vault. He had successfully acquired exactly what he came here for, and he had absolutely no greedy need for the other random treasures sitting in the vault. Hence, without lingering, he summoned Carter telepathically and began to head back to the ship.
The return cosmic trip would comfortably take an entire day, but that small amount of time was something Grey could easily wait for.
The heavily sealed Appraiser could only stare completely blankly as he helplessly watched the sleek spaceship leave his orbit. He was seriously, deeply questioning his own reality right now.
