"You and The Watcher already have a prior meeting indirectly?" Doubt asked as he chuckled, "How does that even work,"

As much as Doubt would believe it, Cesar knew the connection he made with that Nightmare Apathy already came long like Deceit.

And it was the time Cesar drank the Nightmare Potion.

"Well, let’s just say we drank Potion with both Deceit and The Watcher there. Anyway, let’s come back to the topic. I’ll tell you my take on why The Watcher is the one messing with you guys…"

Cesar took a moment of pause as he began to explain, "The Watcher is a careful thinker. The ongoing war between the Revolutionary Army has been made because of him. I’m sure of it. He even confessed it to me on my face while he entered his lost consciousness,"

Doubt’s face began to change, finding his words becoming more unbelievable.

To him, Cesar not being dead yet after meeting Apathy is a miracle. Much more when he talked to him and confessed right in his face.

"Then, I began to question. What’s the point of creating a war between humans, messing with the reputation of Entities of the same caliber as him, and last but not least, controlling lower being’s matters in his own hands? Well, I’m guessing he had the same reason as you guys,"

Doubt seemed to know where Cesar was getting out as he voiced out, "He’s strengthening himself. By following your words, I can assume that he’s retrieving the power he had lost…"

Cesar’s curiosity was instantly piqued as he voiced out, "May I ask something? How come people like The Watcher, Deceit, and some others have become weakened?"

Doubt shook his head before replying, "You forgot to include us as well, but to answer your question, there’s really one thing that we avoided. I think you guys are the same as well. That is the Corruption that slowly corroded one’s ’Soul’ and ’Identity’,"

’Corruption…’

Cesar remembered the scenes in which he encountered such things as his face frowned in response.

If the likes of Deceit and Apathy can’t escape the clutches of Corruption, then the lower beings are more prone to it than it was ever before.

He already grasped how dangerous the corruption was, but Cesar was reminded again why he had to worry about himself on such matters.

Doubt then added, "Additionally, there’s a reason why some Origin Entities tend to weaken themselves. And it was mostly due to my own reasons. Are you curious why Deceit broke himself into pieces?"

Cesar’s face brightened as that one question always bugged him in his mind.

If such a strong creature decided to cut his consciousness into different parts, then the history behind it would obviously be big.

Awaiting the incoming big news, Doubt chuckled and stated.

"I don’t know as well,"

"…"

Liking the reaction that Cesar was expressing, Doubt cackled even more and gave his honest answer.

"Each circle tends to hide its activities from other circles to avoid any leaks of information they possess. However, just like The Watcher who is a lone wolf, Deceit also happens to fall into such a category hence their actions are always hidden. We don’t know,"

Doubt even clarified, "Even his consciousness just dropped into my lap while I was sleeping. Pretty interesting isn’t it?"

Cesar’s eyes widened as he gasped, "For real?"

"For real, for real,"

Doubt’s eyes immediately lingered to the side as if he felt something coming towards the city before he told Cesar.

"The backups are coming. This was good information, Cesar. I appreciate it. Now there’s one more thing I wanted to ask," Doubt paused, "Can I know the location of the time you talked with The Watcher?"

Since he really didn’t need to hide it as he was pretty much lucky to be alive under the presence of the Nightmare that Deceit talked badly in one of its memories he had, Cesar revealed the information.

"There’s a huge forestry here a few miles back. Further inside it was the Fountain of Promises which was one of his consciousness. He entered the castle inside of this dimension that had disappeared. If you’re planning on coming, all I can say is for you to prepare,"

Doubt stood up from the bench and waved his hands dismissively, "Don’t mention it,"

He stretched his hands and said with a jolly tone, "The partnership that we had is really becoming good. By the way, if you want to call any of the Holy Trinity, tell Deceit to recite our Honorifics,"

Then he vanished like that as if he wasn’t even there in the first place.

Cesar’s face slowly shifted to the side and saw the backup that the Army delivered for them.

It was a lot.

Their faces all appeared to be ready for any incoming fight that the city was undergoing yet it seemed their expectations weren’t met.

The city was peaceful.

"Hahh…"

Letting out a tired sigh, Cesar knew he had some explaining to do and went ahead for himself.

"Have a safe travels, sir Arnold and student Sparrow,"

After giving their report on what actually had transpired to the defense at the Silo City, Cesar and Arnold prepared the vehicle they would use to exit out of the city while saying goodbyes to the people they had met for a short time.

However, Cesar knew he had to lie about the real facts of the defense as there was no way he would reveal the secret regarding the Origin Nightmares.

Arnold who was being supported to this notion also hide the fact hence replacing the existence of unknown valuable helper with godsend rescuers.

It was a crappy reason that the two both believed the supervisor of the backup squad might not believe it.

But what could they do? Doubt the rescuers of the Silo City?

Cesar and Arnold finished their remaining business to the city, and resumed their return towards the Academy.
