At one part of a faraway city, the soldier was preparing to defend for an incoming invasion from current enemies of their side, the Revolutionary Army.

Not much was known to their enemy.

The only thing they knew was that these people who banded together had destroyed the Capitals of the world and continued their way North, where they were presumed to reach their destination at the Army since that seemed to be their mortal enemy according to the words of their superiors.

The defenders of this city should’ve been afraid of the name Revolutionary Army alone since their enemy had to have been quite successful with their invasion, breaching through the defenses that the Army had implemented.

However, there was a single factor that made them strong at least mentally for their current situation.

"Hey, have you heard? Hero of Wheels is coming to our city,"

"Wait, I definitely heard that! The Army even boasted his achievement as he defended three cities straight within a day from the Revolutionary Army!"

"I heard that feat as well since it was deemed impossible to even achieve it within a day, transferring from one city to another. But he pulled it off!"

Murmurs within the desolate city were filled with hope once the mention of Hero of Wheels was coming to them.

"Toooooooot!"

A loud horn blare resounded within the city walls which only implies that their city was about to be attacked by the incoming army which is part of the Revolutionary Army.

The men stiffened up but also gathered themselves around to prepare.

Some were stationed within the city walls to handle the cannons and heavy artilleries while others positioned themselves at the watchtowers to prepare for the weapons laid in that area.

Soon, the city defenders were able to spot the incoming army from afar.

They were riding the horses while raising their weapons and spears.

"Ready!"

Due to how fast their movements were since they were already positioned near their stations, it wasn’t hard for them to clearly begin action.

Every weapon was trained on the paths where the enemies would fall once they entered the range of their arsenal.

"Aim!"

Recognizing that the part of the Revolutionary Army coming to them was no other than the Rebelled Cavalry from their data, the Mayor of the city pointed his hand forward.

"Fire!"

Boom—!

Loud cannonballs and mortars soon flew in the air. Mixed on those attacks was the sound of the arrow whistling through the sky as bullets were fired from the heavy artilleries of the machine guns from some part of the tower.

These attacks which could’ve dealt heavy blows under normal means didn’t meet the same expectations from the defenders.

After all, the damages dealt to the enemy were close to zero since they weren’t affected by the mundane weapons.

The specialized weapons which can also hold specialized bullets managed to peer through the defenses of their enemies but the damage dealt was only a couple of people.

The enemy coming to them accounted for a thousand, wherever they came from was still a mystery from the Army.

"Shit, the First and Second Orders of the Shaded, get down to the wall now and fight! The others support those people from behind,"

Since normal means couldn’t be used by these kinds of people, the Shadeds went down from the city walls and activated their Facets.

Whoosh—!

Unleashing the power inside them, the others who knew what they were capable of and how they would position themselves under siege prepared themselves for the incoming invasion.

Seconds turned into a minute…

The horses being used by the Rebelled Cavalry all rammed towards the road without stopping as if their lives depended on it.

Soon, every rider from the cavalry began to activate their Facets which shocked some of the defenders since it only meant they were going to fight thousands of men with Facets.

The only thing that had that kind of manpower was the Army.

However since the Revolutionary Army was attacking them at any angle, it was obvious that their attention would be also divided.

It meant that some cities were likely to fall under their mercy.

"We will not hold on…"

The Mayor of the city instantly recognized the gravity of the situation as he quickly assessed that they are going to be wiped out in just a few minutes if those invaders put their minds to it.

And it didn’t take long for it to happen.

Boom—!

The first line of defense under the city walls instantly crumbled down to the pressure that the Rebelled Cavalry had inputted.

They quickly killed off the Shaded from below who died in a state where they couldn’t be too sure the real reason for their deaths.

However, the lives that ended in that instant didn’t matter as the city was beginning to be attacked by the cavalry.

If they didn’t hold on, if that was even necessary, they were going to die no matter what.

The Mayor then couldn’t help but remember the note he received upon hearing a particular ’rescue’ would be coming into their city the moment they got attacked by the Rebelled Cavalry.

It was heavily mentioned that they just have to hold on for a bit since the ’rescue’ will be handling matters in the nearby city.

But they weren’t too sure if that ’bit’ that they would be doing would’ve been enough of their city being invaded.

But they have no choice but to try.

If they have given up now, it will make the Revolutionary Army’s goal a whole lot easier.

That is something that couldn’t happen.

Boooooom—!

Each wall in the city began to take damage from the attacks coming from the Rebelled Cavalry that it became to the point where slipping through their tight defenses was becoming a viable option.

Until it did.

Baaaaang—!

The Mayor flinched as he glanced around the city only to see a couple of the cavalry managed to get inside and began wreaking havoc without a break.

"Use everything you have to stop that! Refrain them from coming inside!"

The Mayor desperately shouted as those professionals from the Army who hold a bit of power like having a Facet or Technique began to put their attention on the breached wall and the intruders.

They have to be swift if they even want to fix the breached wall.

This thinking was exploited by the cavalry, knowing the other sides of the city walls had become weak.

Soon, the cavalry began targeting every corner of the city dividing the attention one has to put their focus onto.

The one breach that they are barely even holding on to begins to spawn two of those openings. But then it began to be three, five until it became countless to even count that the Mayor’s face grew pale watching it all above the city walls. Read new adventures at novelbuddy

They just couldn’t be stopped no matter what.

Even if half of the Rebelled Cavalry was outside of the city walls, the other half was already inside and began to purge everything that lived there.

’It’s over…’

Everything was looking at the end for this unknown city however it all disappeared when a man appeared in front of the Mayor, wearing a tiara with bloodshot eyes in the middle.

"I’m sorry if I was a bit late. The trouble from the previous city had taken too long to fix,"

Whooosh—!

Soon floor of darkness began to widely spread throughout the entirety of the city.

"It’ll be done in no time,"

The Mayor looked at the young man who came to the rescue and couldn’t help but fill his eyes with hope once more.

"Hero of Wheels!"

Cesar used the Librarian’s Key distinctively from his hands before transporting it inside the city.

"Huh?"

One out of the many few of the Rebelled Cavalry that managed to sneak their way inside was flabbergasted upon seeing Cesar standing in between them after leaving the gaped hole that manifested through thin air.

However, that was the only left they could do before the floor of darkness sprung out a long thin blade that targeted their head and heart.

Whoosh—!

Upon dealing with the situation inside that one part of the city, Cesar entered the gaped hole produced by the Librarian’s key before transferring to another location and did the same method.

Slash—!

Killing every individual that belongs to the Rebelled Cavalry within a minute with a few sweats, Cesar entered the gaped hole and appeared right outside of the city walls where the other half of the cavalry was waiting for him.

Tap—!

Appearing from above with a floor of darkness surrounding the entire floor that covered the skies, Cesar snapped his fingers and created multiple artificial fires.

Whoosh—!

Hitting their opponent before they even get the chance to defend themselves, Cesar ran towards the other rebels and threw fire at them.

"Be gone…"

Showering them with fire, the Mayor could only watch the massacre that continued to be filled with fire and blood which changed the tide by only one man.

And it happened so fast that the Mayor just held the communicator on his hands and gave the situation to their operator.

"Hello, this is Mayor Ernest from Quoel City... Hero of Wheels has arrived,"
