No Cheat in Bleach ? Watch me help Aizen then.-Chapter 106: Hyakki Yagyō
Chapter 106 - Hyakki Yagyō
"Dual Bankai?!"
Ukitake Jūshirō stared, stunned, at Higashi Shuuichi. A single swing from the latter's blade had scattered the pitch-black wind conjured by Kuchiki Ginrei's Bankai—an ability once thought impenetrable. The pressure Shuuichi now radiated was immense, wholly alien to the Ukitake who knew him.
A second Bankai within a Bankai—not once had Soul Society seen such a thing.
And that level of spiritual pressure... Could Shuuichi's body even handle it?
Because in Soul Society, reiatsu isn't enough. Power without control is self-destruction. Without a body strong enough to channel it, a Shinigami would collapse long before harming a single foe.
And yet... Shuuichi stood, unchanged. Triumphant.
Unlike most, Shuuichi's Bankai abilities stack, not override. What preceded his current state—"Kuru-niku" (False Flesh Strategy)—formed the foundation that let him invoke this second Bankai: "Ki-jin" (Tree Bloom Rebirth).
It had begun the moment he agreed to Yoruichi's plan.
When she unsealed his Zanpakutō and stripped off the sacred bandages, he heard the whisper of his inner world calling. Grass hut. Familiar man. Familiar words.
A new power unlocked: his "sacrifice gambit."
Kuru-niku was simple and brutal. The cost of his actions was deferred—up to a year in the future. So long as he didn't exceed what he could theoretically survive over that year, he could maintain this apex state.
And now?
Shuuichi wasn't just strong—he was burning a year of his life to crush everything.
"First Demon: Release—Power Demon!"
He stepped forward. Ghostly oni howled around him.
Fuzan.
A tsunami of reiatsu exploded from the earth. Kuchiki Ginrei didn't even dare confront it directly; the pressure alone tore apart his swirling wind barrier.
Sasakibe Chōjirō reacted swiftly. His Zanpakutō blazed.
"Bankai—Kōkō Gonryō Rikyū!"
Clouds gathered. Eleven streaks of lightning dropped like divine judgment, converging on his sword. But before he could unleash them—
Shuuichi was already there.
Fenzuki.
No wasted motion. No words. Just steel.
"How... how are you this fast?!"
Sasakibe never saw him move. The next moment, he was down.
Only Ukitake noticed the truth: four spectral demons circled Shuuichi's body.
"So he said 'first' demon, but really... there were four."
Yoruichi had warned him—Shuuichi used wordplay in combat, misdirection by language.
What once seemed like a trick of the weak now proved itself a weapon of the strong.
"We can't let this continue."
Ukitake released Sōgyo no Kotowari. Twin blades chained together. His reiatsu surged to match Shuuichi's.
Kuchiki Ginrei charged again.
"Bakudō #62: Hyappō Rankan!"
Binding rods flew. On the ground, bloodied but moving, Zaraki Kenpachi raised his sword, screaming.
Shuuichi didn't flinch.
He'd traded time. Traded life. Now he'd carve his name into their memory with force.
"Dragon of defiance, land of filth, unquenchable wrath!
Dreams awakened by primordial origin—wind, flame, ice, thunder, earth—shatter karma, return to nothing!
Hadō #99: Goryūkaimen (Five-Dragon Annihilation)!"
Top-tier Kido, amplified by monstrous reiatsu.
Ukitake blocked with his left blade—the one that absorbs all energy.
Unless Shuuichi could overwhelm him, everything he cast would be devoured.
And Shuuichi couldn't. Not yet.
Ginrei retaliated with another full-incantation spell:
"Hadō #91: Senju Kōten Taihō!"
Beams of light, coiled in black wind, flew.
But a laughing oni caught them bare-handed.
Nullified.
Ginrei frowned.
He recalled something: Shuuichi had vanished for five years.
What had he become?
Even Captain-Commander Yamamoto had ordered his Zanpakutō sealed by a sacred relic of the Shihōin Clan.
What power could frighten the strongest Shinigami in history?
The answer hovered on Ginrei's tongue: the Tōma Clan.
"Urahara Kisuke... you really picked a dangerous one."
Unlike Ginrei, Zaraki charged blindly, unaware of how far beyond him Shuuichi now stood.
But Shuuichi knew better than to let a beast like Kenpachi rise again.
He stepped beside the berserker, blade ready to finish it.
Yet Ukitake intervened.
The twin Captains absorbed his blow—Ukitake with his blade, Kenpachi with sheer will.
Shuuichi backed off with shunpo—but the reflected force followed him.
That was the twin blades' other power.
One sword absorbs. The other returns, transformed, empowered.
Unlike Shuuichi's own Bankai, Ukitake's could modify the energy: speed, density, waveform.
And he didn't need to be hit first.
A pain in the ass...
Even if the original manga hadn't showcased it, this man once stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Kyōraku to block Yamamoto.
A formidable opponent.
Just then—
The Senkaimon opened.
Matsumoto Rangiku's voice in the comms: the gate was ready.
If Shuuichi could just buy a little more time, Urahara and Tessai could get the Vizards out.
"Have you realized reality at last?" Ukitake asked as Shuuichi stilled.
Perhaps there was room for diplomacy, if the madness would end now.
Chōjirō rose again, summoning his Bankai a second time.
Ginrei circled behind, black wind boiling.
Kenpachi readied his blade for a final blow.
Even Yachiru's summoned beasts flanked him.
On the ground, Soifon stirred. Bloodied. Barely conscious. Her eyes fixed on her once-idol: Higashi Shuuichi, now shrouded in howling demons.
"Let me ask you something," Shuuichi smiled coldly.
"Have any of you... ever seen something like this ?"
Ukitake scowled. "Diversion won't save you."
Everyone moved at once.
Lightning from Chōjirō.
Black wind from Ginrei.
Kenpachi's slash.
Ukitake's redirected Hadō #99.
Even Soifon called out weakly:
"Shuuichi-dono...!"
In the eye of the storm, Shuuichi closed his eyes.
He remembered unlocking Ki-jin.
Ikeda Kōsuke's Zanpakutō manifested a demon for protection—because he feared death.
But Shuuichi?
He didn't know what he wanted.
And the final Demon answered for him:
"Bankai—Kashō Kaikon (Rebirth by Borrowed Corpse)."
All the bodies Shuuichi had placed throughout Seireitei during decades of planning...
Activated.
His Reishi clones—set loose when fighting Ginrei—merged with them.
"Dual Bankai. Fifth Demon: Hundred Demon March."
His eyes opened.
He stood like an emperor on high.
"Hyakki Yagyō."
From the depths of Hell, a colossal eye opened.
It gazed up toward the surface—toward Ikeda Kōsuke.
Dark energy exploded through Soul Society. Every reanimated corpse was cloaked in shadowy oni.
Wails. Howls. A funeral dirge for Seireitei.
Ukitake's voice shook. "What... have you done?"
Dozens of demon-clad undead circled Shuuichi like stars around a black sun.
None had laid a finger on him.
Shuuichi said nothing.
He scanned the captains one by one, gaze lingering briefly on Soifon.
Then he vanished.
Ukitake and the others tried to pursue—but even just fending off the demons drained them.
Each had the strength of a captain—once.
They wouldn't last long, but their initial strikes were deadly.
And they resisted Ukitake's sword.
They were Shuuichi's trump card. Accumulated over decades.
A waste? Perhaps.
But portable Senkaimon would soon be real.
He could come back and rebuild his ghost army later.
Still—had Ukitake known how close Shuuichi was to collapse, he might've risked chasing.
Time was running out. The "cost" of his power would catch up soon.
Urahara, Yoruichi, and Tessai couldn't do this alone.
But the Gotei 13 didn't know that.
They wouldn't risk Soul Society's fate.
Even Shuuichi took care not to harm civilians—the balance of souls had to be preserved.
He didn't want to destroy the world. Just survive in it.
Even Aizen showed restraint. Only Yhwach had dared to tip the cosmic scale.
—
As Shuuichi neared the Senkaimon, he detoured—toward Squad 2 HQ.
He had seen, through oni eyes, Kisaragi Shūsuke lying bloodied. His blade shattered. Beaten by the Squad 10 Captain.
"Shuuichi-dono... I'm sorry..."
Kisaragi choked, one eye barely open. Shame burned deeper than pain.
He hadn't just failed—he had burdened Shuuichi.
"Higashi Shuuichi?!"
The Squad 10 Captain, Nagikusa Soraku, recognized him at once. Hollow mask. Blade in the chest.
The man of legends.
"You've done well, Shūsuke. Leave the rest to me."
Soraku was enraged.
"You dare look down on me?!"
He chanted:
Hadō #90: Kurohitsugi!
Fully incanted. Devastating. He grinned.
"It's your honor to die here."
Then—
Two seconds later, the coffin split in half.
Shūsuke, held in Shuuichi's arms, was untouched.
"Impossible! A fully incanted #90?! You're just a—"
Shuuichi stepped forward, calm as death.
"Ah, right. You were appointed after I vanished.
So I suppose... you never learned."
Before Soraku could finish his release chant—
Shuuichi appeared before him.
"Allow me to introduce myself properly."
His blade sank into the captain's chest.
Pure reiatsu ripped through.
He turned. Walked away.
Behind him, Soraku collapsed. Demons howled.
"One who forged Soul Society's Hyakki Yagyō...
Higashi Shuuichi."
"Higashi Shuuichi... huh..."
Soraku's last thought—before darkness.
—
Meanwhile, near Squad 5 barracks—
Aizen Sousuke, smiling faintly, held one of Shuuichi's "ghosts" in his hand.
So this was the power Shuuichi had never revealed.
"Just how many secrets are you hiding, Shuuichi...?
You're becoming quite fascinating indeed."
