Not Being a Trainer This Time-Chapter 561 - 317: I Don’t Want Big Fish, I Only Want You
It just wanted to catch a big fish for Naoki, like those working Dragonites.
Naoki understood Dragonite’s intention and sighed in his heart. He reached out and patted Dragonite’s head, saying to it:
"I don’t want the biggest fish in the world."
Dragonite raised its head and stared blankly at him.
Naoki then stepped forward and hugged Dragonite proactively: "Don’t do anything dangerous. I don’t care about big fish or the gifts you bring me. I only care about your safety, understood?"
Dragonite’s eyes lit up completely, and it reached out its large paw, emotionally hugging Naoki back: "Roar!"
Naoki smiled, patting Dragonite on the back and said to it:
"We don’t need to take risks, as long as the fish is enough to eat. Let’s live our lives together, safely and securely like now."
Dragonite nodded happily.
Only then did Naoki let go of Dragonite.
"Alright! I’m glad you’re back! Mrs. Dante and the others were very worried about you these past two days. I’ll give you some cookies and Poffins to bring over and let them know you’re safe!"
"Roar~"
Dragonite readily agreed, stayed a while longer with Naoki at the ranch, then picked up the gifts and flew to Porto Marinada Town.
The working Dragonites and Dragonairs at the ranch looked at Dragonite’s happy, almost-flying appearance, with confused and puzzled expressions.
"Roar?" Did it find Poffins on the way? A Dragonite asked.
To them, finding Poffins on the road was indeed something to be happy about.
The other Dragonites shook their heads, indicating they didn’t know either.
Not far away, Koraidon, basking in the sun on the grass, glanced at Dragonite, lazily yawned, closed its eyes, and continued to enjoy the beautiful afternoon.

League Year 199, February 29.
Early in the morning, Naoki bid farewell to a group of Pokemon on the ranch and rode Koraidon to Cascarrafa City.
Because this business trip was for an agricultural exchange, there probably wouldn’t be much time for sightseeing. Moreover, Kitakami is a very remote rural town, so Naoki only brought Koraidon, Pawmo, Cyclizar, Flutter Mane, and Dragonite with him.
The rest of the Pokemon stayed behind at the ranch to maintain its normal operations.
At nine in the morning, Naoki arrived at Cascarrafa Airport.
Since Koraidon couldn’t be placed in a Poke Ball, Naoki had bought a plane ticket for Koraidon as well.
But due to Koraidon’s large size, it didn’t fit in the airplane seats, so Naoki had to, upon the suggestion of the flight attendants, place it in the luggage compartment.
Seeing Koraidon’s aggrieved eyes, Naoki patted its head: "Be good, we’ll be there soon!"
"Gah-sis..." Koraidon replied pitifully.
Naoki felt bad but had no choice. He didn’t know the exact location of Kitakami, so he couldn’t directly ride a Pokemon there. The best way for such cross-regional travel was by airplane and ships.
Settling back into the cabin, the plane took off normally.
Naoki closed his eyes for a nap.
Partway through, he awoke, drank some water, visited the restroom, and then sat down to read a book.
After an unknown amount of time, the plane’s broadcast finally announced its imminent arrival at the destination.
Naoki put away his book. Once the plane landed, he quickly went to the luggage compartment to find Koraidon, who was huddled grievance-stricken in a corner, and gave it a big kiss on the forehead.
"Poor little guy, you’ve been through a lot. We’ve arrived at our destination, time to go!"
"Gah-sis?!" Koraidon widened its eyes in disbelief, then happily responded to Naoki with a "Lick" attack.
The passengers behind originally thought from the conversation that it must have been a small, cute Pokemon like Eevee or Pikachu.
Upon closer inspection, they realized it was a huge creature with a fierce-looking face, making them silently wonder, "How is this a little guy?"
Naoki didn’t notice the other people’s expressions. He led Koraidon off the plane, and the first thing he did was find the local Pokemon Center to use the video phone to contact the ranch and let everyone know he was safe.
After finishing all this, Naoki took out a map, following the planned route to Kitakami.
Since Kitakami’s location was far from big cities and in a secluded rural area, one could only reach there by taking a bus at a bus station.
But with Koraidon, even without taking the bus, it was possible.
So, after planning the route, Naoki rode onto Koraidon’s back, took to the skies, and headed towards Kitakami.
On the way, Naoki kept reading the Kitakami travel guide he bought at the airport.
It said on it that Kitakami wasn’t the name of a town but the name of a large region.
There was only one small town there, called Mossui Town.
Interestingly, the guide mentioned that many legends were also passed down in Mossui Town.
The one that attracted Naoki the most was the legend of the "Ghost of Kitakami."
The content described it as follows:
"Legend has it that a long, long time ago, there was a very frightening ghost in Kitakami, residing in the mountain behind the village, usually scaring those entering the mountain.
One day, the ghost became furious, suddenly coming down the mountain, causing panic among the villagers; at that time, Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti happened to be in the village.
