NOVEL'S EXTRA: I Will Die at the Peak-Chapter 76: Simplicity
The last rays of sunlight had disappeared from the sky. Now, only four moons glowing in different hues and their soft light illuminated the night. Thousands of stars silently adorned the heavens.
Ravien had lain on the ground throughout the cool night. His body had not fully recovered, but most of his energy had returned. He was about to get up.
Juuhra was still where he had been. He hadn’t moved all night, silently waiting.
As Ravien straightened up, he saw Asogi in the distance. He was walking toward his father with determined steps, not hesitating.
After a while, he reached Ravien, smiled faintly, and stopped.
"Father," he said sincerely, "I cut the wood you asked for. What do you want me to do now?"
Ravien slowly stood up, stretched his muscles, and after a few steps, turned to Asogi.
"Well done, good work," he said shortly but with genuine appreciation.
When Asogi heard his father’s words, a quiet joy filled him. His face slightly brightened, his shoulders relaxed. A brief shiver ran through his body, though he didn’t show it outwardly.
Meanwhile, Ravien turned his eyes to the depths of the forest. Many trees still stood untouched between the branches. He thought to himself:
"How will we carry these trees back to the castle?"
He stood still for a moment, scratched his brow. He calculated the weight of the logs and the distance. He felt he needed to find a solution.
"If I build a large hauler, I can move them all easily... but... can the horse handle this load? And it hasn’t been long since the change."
He weighed his options in his mind. He slightly lowered his head, took a step back. Then he made his decision.
He walked toward a clearing nearby to put his plan into action. When he reached a flat surface, he stopped, raised his right hand. He focused for a brief moment and set the energy within him in motion.
The air around his hand stirred. Once Ravien was sure he had control, he continued.
Small bone fragments appeared in the air. At first, they scattered, then started to align and merge. Silently, they took shape. First round, then elongating, with sharp edges forming, until they finally settled into a wide, smooth rectangular form.
When Ravien saw the shape was complete, he turned his eyes to the lower section. He imagined the wheels, and four solid wheels appeared beneath the structure, each connected firmly to the hauler. Lastly, a rig was formed at the front where the horse would be fastened.
The preparation was almost done. He scanned the entire construct with his eyes.
Then, he looked at Juuhra, still lying on the ground. Without changing his tone, he spoke:
"Juuhra, stop lying down. Bring the horse here."
He extended his hand to the side, pointing at the hauler.
"Asogi, place the wood you cut neatly onto this. Leave no gaps in between."
Juuhra pressed his arms against the ground and straightened. Slowly rising to his knees. Once his body steadied, he spread his wings and lifted off with a gentle gust of wind. Before moving too far, he beat his wings rhythmically a few times.
Asogi, after a brief hesitation, lowered his head and started walking. He headed toward the forest. Just as he approached the shadowy area, Juuhra’s voice came from above. At the same moment, Asogi was speaking too.
"Alright, father."
Juuhra heard the voice, turned his head slightly while flying, gave Asogi a brief glance, but kept rising without pausing.
Ravien remained standing in place for a while. His eyes were still on the hauler. He didn’t speak. He voiced his thoughts directly:
"If the horse can’t pull this load, it’ll be a problem. If I increase the capacity too much, it might not endure. I’ll have to build a second hauler."
He was about to raise his hands when he hesitated. His gaze drifted to a patch of darkness for a moment. He scanned the surroundings and murmured in a low voice:
"Wolves... Why am I not using the bodies already lying around?"
Without quickening his pace, he headed toward the forest. As his feet stepped on dry leaves and thin branches, faint crackles rose. On the way, he passed Asogi.
Giant hands hung from Asogi’s shoulders, drawing attention. With them, he was pulling logs from the forest one by one and stacking them aside.
Ravien didn’t turn his gaze to Asogi. He passed by and headed to the area where the soil was dark. He stopped at the entrance, then stepped into the shadows.
Several bodies lay on the ground. Without wandering between them, he stood before one. He bent his knees and leaned in, placing his hand beside the body.
The throat was exposed, head missing, but the torso was intact. He checked the surroundings.
"It’ll do. Not too damaged."
Without wasting time, he got to work.
Ravien crouched beside the wolf’s body. He extended his right hand and touched its fur. With the contact, energy started flowing into the motionless body. Power spread from his fingertips beneath the skin. The transformation began immediately.
The color of the fur darkened, turning red. Vein patterns emerged between muscle fibers. The flesh expanded under internal pressure. The severed neck slowly began to close. The tissues merged, the gap vanished.
Ravien continued the energy transfer for a few more seconds, then pulled his hand back. His breathing quickened, he felt his energy depleting, but he didn’t take his eyes off the changing body.
The wolf form didn’t stop. The transformation persisted. The torso straightened, hind legs lengthened, spine realigned. The skin thickened, red fur covered the new form. It turned into a strange creature with four arms. It had no head, but it was a moving, eerie being.
Ravien thought to himself:
"My capacity’s depleting fast. I need to find a solution for this."
Without prolonging the thought, he checked the creature from top to bottom and gave a brief command:
"Follow me."
He turned and took a step forward. Passing through broken branches, he stepped into the clearing.
When he reached the two creatures, his eyes fell on the front of the hauler. Without explanation, he moved into action. He took the long ropes dangling from the horse’s mane and firmly tied them to the bone hauler.
The wolf had extended its four arms and found solid grips on the hauler’s sides. Its muscles were tense, stance balanced. Ravien made one final check, then mounted the horse. There was no saddle, but he balanced himself.
Juuhra stepped back a few paces without making eye contact. He opened his wings, took flight without waiting for a command.
Asogi quietly approached and climbed onto the back of the hauler behind Ravien. He braced his feet and sat without looking down.
The horse and wolf moved together. The first few meters they advanced slowly. The wheels carved tracks into the earth. As the resistance lessened, their speed increased.
But ahead, the path narrowed. The gap between the trees wasn’t wide enough for the hauler to pass.
Ravien raised his head and shouted:
"Juuhra, get down here. Clear our path."
Juuhra was a few meters up in the air. He changed his direction. Pulling his wings back, he dropped in altitude. Drawing a few circles in the air, he landed in front of the hauler.
He slightly bent his knees, braced his body. Raised his right hand, pointed his index finger forward. At the tip of his finger, a dense, black energy sphere appeared. It was small but steady. It trembled lightly, emitted no light.
After a brief pause, the sphere shot forward. When it reached its target, it began erasing without a sound. Trees dissolved from their trunks. Stones vanished without crumbling. Bushes disappeared without leaving a trace. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
In a matter of seconds, a wide clearing opened ahead of them. The ground was flat, ready for passage.
Ravien’s hauler pressed on into the night. The pale light of the moons gently illuminated the earth as the wheels tore through the dry soil.
The horse and wolf dragged the heavy load forward. Juuhra floated in front of the hauler, silently erasing every obstacle in their path.
Trees, rocks, and branches vanished at his touch. The night deepened, the road stretched.

Today, I’d like to clarify a few concepts.
In this world, creatures that remain in contact with Capacity for a long time begin to change. Both their bodies and minds evolve; their behavior develops, and instincts give way to conscious decisions.
---
What is an Eform?
If a normal animal stays exposed to Capacity for a long time, it gradually gains intelligence. It starts acting not just on instinct, but with awareness.
They begin to communicate, form groups, and organize themselves. Creatures that reach this stage are called Eforms.
---
What is an Enform?
When two Eforms come together and have offspring, the child is born strong, intelligent, and naturally compatible with Capacity. It doesn’t go through evolution—it’s born that way.
These beings are called Enforms.
Over time, they build their own communities, cultures, and ways of life.
