After that Yohan didn’t leave immediately, he stayed for another long, awkward hour before finally leaving. He didn’t want to leave her alone, but he just couldn’t bear the unending tension.

By now night had already come, but he didn’t feel like going back home immediately. He was afraid he would run into another interference like, Anthony or someone else, so he decided to go for a long walk. The events of the day hadn’t left his mind, and he needed to clear his head.

It didn’t seem like he would go after Cassie, if not he probably would have acted immediately. Yohan could already tell that whoever this person was, they wasted no time in taking action.

But it was still too early to make conclusions, he could only hope that Freddie at least didn’t mention her.

During his walk he had subconsciously walked into the college compound. It was quiet and peaceful at night, and the gates were always open to the students.

He had only gone on for a few minutes before he ran into Izumi. She was sitting on a bench by the roadside.

At first he was surprised to see her alone by herself. The buildings on this side were locked earlier so students weren’t normally supposed to be around here this late

"You came, I was starting to think you forgot," she stood up and moved closer to him.

The moment she said those words was when it hit him, he had met her yesterday at this same spot, walking with Jenna, and she whispered to him that they should meet back here.

’How could I have forgotten?’ he panicked inwardly, but on his face there was a nervous smile.

"O-Of course not, how could I forget?" he tried to casually play it off, "Sorry if I kept you waiting for long,"

"It’s fine," she said, "I’m the one who asked to meet you out here, and I’m happy you were able to come," She said with a friendly smile, something Yohan wasn’t expecting to see.

He sighed, his mood dipping even lower. She probably had questions that needed answering.

"Your name is Yohan right?" Izumi asked nicely,

"Y-Yeah, I guess it’s nice to officially meet you," he said lightly.

"S-Same for me, it’s nice meeting you" her face turned red remembering the first time they met back at that party, but she tried not to think about it.

Yohan noticed her reaction, he could almost predict what was going on through her mind. That was probably why she called him out here, she wanted more.

’Honestly I’ll be very glad if that was the case’

His balls were still blue from Cassie’s disappointing last minute return of rationality, and there was no way he was saying no to a pretty girl like Izumi, even if it meant that Jenna might actually end up killing him.

"Actually... the reason I called you out this late is because I’ve been trying to reach Freddie."

"Freddie?" His brows drew together. "Why are you coming to me for Freddie?"

"Because I can’t reach any of his other friends either. And you two seemed close, so I thought you’d know."

"Since when were me and Freddie close?" he asked, genuinely confused. "What gave you that idea?"

"I don’t know... you knew his mom, so I just assumed..."

"Then why didn’t you go to his mum instead?" he cut in, irritation slipping through. "You dragged me all the way out here for that?"

"S-She’s intimidating," she stammered. "I can’t just go up to her and ask for her son. What if she thinks I’m clingy... and ends up hating me?"

He opened his mouth, closed it, then looked away like he needed a moment.

"Do you know what would happen if your future mother-in-law hates you?"

"Mother-in-law?" He would have laughed, if he wasn’t already over-stimulated. "Do you actually think you’re going to get married to Freddie?"

"Maybe..." her voice raised defensively, "How is it any of your business?"

"Well, you came to me looking for him,"

"So what, do you know where he is or if he’s okay. I really just want to know if he’s safe," The look on her face was sad, like she really did miss Freddie.

Yohan wondered how she could even be in love with an asshole like that, but he probably never showed her his true nature, and Jenna did mention that he was her first so it made sense that she was attached to him.

But the fact that she was asking all these questions when Jenna knew all the answers, meant that she didn’t want Izumi to find out.

He reasoned that Jenna probably wanted to use this opportunity to help her get over Freddie, and this gave him a new idea.
