Omega Summoner-Chapter 2388: Huge News in Kunlun II

As soon as Levin Cloud purified the entire area of the enclosed formation, no undead was able to rise from it. He basically created a holy land for a few minutes which is quite a feat, and it also broke Mu Gou's mind. She thought that Levin Cloud was a god that descended and was about to escape but Adrian pierced her with his spear.

Mu Gou was pierced with the spear, but she was still alive. The formation basically kept her alive as it drew from the life force of the surroundings. This is how she was able to sustain large amounts of undead despite not using vast amounts of energy. She really did master both formations and corpse cultivation but that was not enough.

Adrian's spear would not have pierced Mu Gou instantly as it clashed with the barrier that automatically triggers when she is attacked. The spear hit the barrier, but Sirius and Kimat destroyed it in an instant. Sirius hid inside Adrian's shadow while Kimat was summoned to specifically destroy the barrier with his innate power.

"Impossible!" Mu Gou shouted before her life started to fade away.

Adrian quickly did the things that they needed to do as the formation started to unravel since Mu Gou was killed. Adrian summoned Dodu and commanded the latter to transform into him with a pierced chest. Dodu was even able to replicate the weapon as well and Adrian used Perfect Assimilation.

Adrian transformed into a smaller Sirius and went towards Levin Cloud and Peridot. The formation unraveled and the death of Mu Gou and Guard Kongxu was seen by the people outside the formation. Dodu accurately 'disintegrated' as this usually happens when an Immortal expends all of their life force. Immortals that lived longer than a hundred years would turn to dust as soon as they can no longer extend their life force after all.

"If the Primordial Beast of Greed is indeed here in this city, then it would now move. The entire city of Kunlun is now completely filled with greed because of the news of an unbound teleportation scroll." Adrian stated.

Adrian even did a cute little stroll earlier at the behest of Levin Cloud. It seems that any animal that is owned by a noble is also treated as a noble in the eastern continent. As he is regarded as a contracted beast of a noble, he is treated like a noble as well. Now he knows how pets of ancient dynasties feel as he is being escorted in a silk cushion.

Adrian was taken by one of the guards with the excuse of stretching his legs for health reasons. The guard did not want to do this as he was an Immortal even though he was still at the entry stage. Adrian managed to learn that the staff from the merchant guild and even staff from other merchants were basically hounding the gates of the alliance. The smell of money cannot escape any merchant's nose after all, and they wanted to meet with the Firefeather nobles. They believed that they might get the chance to sell the unbound teleportation scroll and rake in lots of money.

"Wait, doggy!" The guard shouted as I walked closer to the gate and checked all of the people waiting there.

"It seems that the Goldenclaw clan has yet to be here but there seems to be more staff from the merchant guild coming. It means that they must be desperate now that the other merchants have learned the item that is going to be given for auction." I thought as I felt the gentle hands of the guard scoop me up.

"If you get lost then I will surely be killed by the alliance leader. Let us return you to your owners as that is enough exercise for the day." The guard stated as he brought me away.

It might not be important, but the eastern continent seem to not like monsters or pets that have black fur. They say that any monster or pet with black fur is full of bad luck which is why only this guard is accompanying me despite my cute appearance. He was the one that lost a bet and also not afraid to handle me despite my black fur.

"We are now back here to where you masters' are." The guard stated as I took something out of my inventory that is in the shape of a golden pill.

"What do you have here?" The guard asked playfully as if he was talking to me, but I made sure not to respond as speaking animal monsters are either cursed or divine messengers in the eastern continent.

Adrian jumped away from the grasp of the guard as soon as the door opened up. He also did a small nod to thank the guard for escorting him. The guard stood there in a daze as the small black dog acted very intelligent. He then realized that a golden pill was left on his palm and immediately entered the room to give it back to Adrian.

"Apologies for intruding, young master and young lady. It seems that your dog has left something with me." The guard stated as he presented the golden pill towards Levin Cloud and Peridot.

"Oh! It seems that Hei Hei has gifted you one of his snacks." Peridot stated as Adrian suddenly looked at her with a glare as she basically called him a dog's name.

"Snack?" The guard stated as he suddenly looked at the golden pill and almost fainted.

"Its… its… a 10 Year Energy Pill!" The guard exclaimed in shock as an item like that basically costs about three months of his salary.

"Oh! Do not be silly. That is not a 10 Year Energy Pill." Peridot stated with a chuckle.

"Right! Why would your beloved pet give me an important pill." The guard stated.

"I mean that is not a 10 Year Energy Pill because the golden shine it has means it is a 20 Year Energy Pill." Peridot replied.

"A 20 Year Energy Pill!" The guard stated in disbelief as they could hear his voice trailing off.

"Please take it. I am unworthy of such a valuable gift." The guard added as he planned to return the pill.

"You should accept it as it is Hei Hei's way of thanking you for accompanying him. Take this box as well to preserve it as having it out in the open will slowly dissipate its energy." Peridot stated as she threw a box towards the guard and Adrian started to kick her with his little paws for his pet name.

"Thank you very much for your magnanimous nature." The guard stated as he bowed towards Levin Cloud and Peridot.

"You should thank Hei Hei, not us." Levin Cloud stated as he pointed towards the small black dog that is now kicking his feet.

"Thank you, Master Hei Hei. Still, I cannot get something so valuable without doing anything. Does the master's need something from me? I can run small errands while you are here if needed." The guard stated as he bowed.

"If you feel burdened by the gift, there is one simple thing that you could do for us. It seems that there is a commotion outside, and we need to address it since we are the cause of it." Levin Cloud stated.

"If Lord Firefeather says so, I can report to the alliance leader to scatter them away." The guard stated.

"No need for such drastic measures. Simply go to the gate and announce to the staff of the merchant guild that we will meet with them in the afternoon. That news should be able to disperse the crowd that has gathered." Peridot stated.

"As you wish, my lords!" The guard stated as he went to the gate to tell the news.

All of the noise from the gate finally died down as the news of the Firefeather nobles wanting to meet with merchant guild was said. Some of the merchants backed down but they will not stop the fight on who gets to sell the unbound teleportation scroll. The staff of the merchant guild happily returned back to their office to report the news. The merchant guild started to prepare the room they will use to receive the Firefeather nobles.

"The next phase has started. Prepare yourselves as we might fight the Primordial Beast of Greed." Adrian stated.

"Can we even defeat one by ourselves?" Levin Cloud asked.

"Did you forget? We are in a city that is basically managed by powerful Immortals. It is the Primordial Beast of Greed that should be careful in not showing its real form." Adrian stated with a smug puppy face that Peridot wanted to pinch but the former smacked her hand away.
