One-Eyed Monster-Chapter 608 - 605: The Power of Seeing Through (Part 2)
Igor found that the Ant Connection Spell was a really good technique; it wasn't long before he could share his viewpoint with everyone. Although Shared Perspective wasn't very useful under these circumstances, it didn't diminish the spell's status in Igor's eyes. Through this spell, Igor could at least intuitively communicate his intentions, especially to Stan Sol, who had communication difficulties. This technique was indeed very practical.
Igor quickly made Stan Sol understand his plan. This was the advantage of the Ant Connection Spell: one could share what they had seen and known with others. This had been the Great Mentor's initial intention when he created this technique. Igor understood its core very well and used it quite effectively.
Igor's plan wasn't actually that complicated.
Since Hustace was scared by Stan Sol's Battle Pet—Fiery Blaze, the only person who could unravel this fear is Stan Sol, he thought. But Stan Sol doesn't know the technique. So, Igor thought of another way: he decided to share Stan Sol's sensation from the moment the fear was created with the Little Black Hands. They might be able to find a solution.
After all, they had successfully relieved a fear-induced state once before, so this probably wouldn't be too difficult. Of course, Stan Sol had created the fear entirely by accident; he never intended to threaten or harm Hustace. In fact, he had always wanted Hustace to remain unharmed. However, fate could be cruel, and he had accidentally become the cause of Hustace's unconsciousness.
The feasibility of Igor's plan was unknown. It seemed a bit strange, but sometimes even flawed logic had its points and might prove effective. It wasn't the first time something like this had occurred, and Stan Sol was used to such oddities.
The Little Black Hands were quite excited. They felt Igor's proposal was fantastic and couldn't wait to try it.
However, just as the Little Black Hands were preparing to start, Igor suddenly called for them to stop.
"Wait a second! Let's reconsider some details."
"What's there to reconsider? Everything's ready! We can't waste any more time; it's so cold..." Kadi urged.
"First off, if we wake Hustace up just like that, he'll faint again from fear of the fire. That would be a waste of energy."
It was inconceivable that Igor was calculating such small details at a time like this.
"What you said makes sense. So, should we wake him up or not? I feel like we've wasted enough time and energy on this matter, and I don't want to discuss it anymore." Kadi's attitude was unusually firm this time. The intense cold from the water pillar might indeed have been getting to him.
"The fire engulfing his body might scare him, but a cloak might not," Igor said.
It was evident that Igor wanted Stan Sol to remove his Fiery Blaze armor.
"So, you mean he should just take off the Fiery Blaze armor directly?" Kadi asked.
Igor considered this. If Stan Sol took off his Fiery Blaze armor, even if Hustace wore the Sharkmon Cloak, it wouldn't necessarily protect him from attacks by the unknown creatures. This made the situation a bit awkward. Whether to wake him up was debatable. If awakened, Hustace might not be as safe as he was now. But if he wasn't awakened, they wouldn't be able to identify the location of their unseen opponent all at once...
While Igor was still considering this, Stan Sol suddenly recalled his Battle Pet Fiery Blaze. In an instant, the Sharkmon Cloak enveloped Hustace.
The speed of this exchange surprised both Igor and Kadi.
"Quick!" Stan Sol then urged. Obviously, he wanted the Little Black Hands to quickly awaken the young master.
The Little Black Hands focused on the imposing sensation of Stan Sol's Battle Pet Fiery Blaze at the moment it induced fear. By understanding how that fear was created, they naturally found a way to dispel it.
Hustace slowly opened his eyes. His surroundings were no longer bright; they were somewhat dim, similar to what the others were experiencing. He wanted to carefully observe his surroundings, but a familiar voice made him lower his guard slightly.
The voice was Igor's. It was clear he had someone familiar by his side now.
People were often like that; having a familiar person in a completely unfamiliar environment could help them overcome any fear. Hustace felt this way now.
"You're awake, Hustace. Don't worry, that's a cloak on you, so don't fret," Igor said, trying to speak gently, afraid of startling him.
Hustace looked at Igor, who was bruised and battered, and couldn't help but be surprised. What happened? Did he trip here? His mind was still a blank after regaining consciousness; he had some memory loss from fainting.
"We're in a very unfavorable situation now, and we need your help," Igor said.
Hustace looked around. Apart from the one-eyed creature and another familiar, taciturn face, he didn't recognize anyone else.
That's right! I can see other people!
"Did this fat guy beat you all up like this?"
These were the first words Hustace spoke. However, as soon as they left his mouth, everyone present was stunned.
What the hell?!
Both Kadi and Igor were indescribably shocked.
"Fat guy?" Kadi asked, puzzled.
"Yes! The fat guy is right behind Igor and is about to punch him!"
Kadi swore under his breath and instantly looked behind Igor, but there was nothing there.
Stan Sol, however, reacted differently. Without a word, he summoned his Battle Pet Fiery Blaze and unleashed a volley of fiery projectiles at Igor's back.
Then, a scream tore through the air...
There really was someone there! 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"You can see him?" Igor asked excitedly.
"You guys can't see him?" Hustace asked, surprised.
Hustace had truly stunned everyone this time. He could see something that ordinary people couldn't!
The one most dismayed was undoubtedly the fat guy. He had been very satisfied before, punching away enthusiastically as per his master's instructions, and had successfully completed his task, feeling quite proud. His master had now let him act freely, and he was feeling extremely arrogant. Others couldn't see him or sense him; he could smash and strike as he pleased, and they couldn't do anything about it. However, he never imagined that just as he raised his fist to strike one of them, he would actually be discovered. This was the first time anyone had ever detected him. This sudden turn of events startled him. This has never happened before! Where did I go wrong?
