Igor felt Kadi's plan was quite imaginative.

This was the first time Kadi had ever made such a detailed plan. He hadn't done anything like this before, always considering such matters too bothersome as they required thinking.

The reason Kadi took this first step in his life today was that they had all been driven into a desperate situation.

Though Kadi might appear carefree and unconcerned, in reality, he wasn't entirely clear about their current predicament. Perhaps, just as Igor suggested, they were doomed.

Kadi never overly concerned himself with the outcome. He felt the end was too far off, beyond his current sight; he only focused on what was happening in the present.

So, even if their future was as disastrous as Igor predicted, he wouldn't care. What mattered to him was that he hadn't had his fill of fun yet. Although Kadi had felt a sense of crisis when fighting alone before, now he wasn't. He had reverted to his old optimistic, proactive self, the Kadi who wanted to control everything.

Now, everyone was fully committed to the war against the massive army. Even communication between them was difficult. It was a truly helpless, yet infuriating, situation.

Kadi said his aim now was to let the Dark Force know that not everyone here was being led by the nose; some would always stand up and confront it.

"Would that person happen to be you?" Igor asked, his voice weak but his spirit full of fight. He hadn't felt so energized in a long time.

Kadi shook his head. "Who knows? It might even be you."

"So, how are you going to harass that guy then?" Igor asked curiously.

"Hmm, I might not be able to harass him," Kadi replied. "This is all happening in the Inner World, and I can't enter it, so I can't move freely within it."

Time is running out; Kadi must start his plan right away, Igor thought.

"So, what are you going to do?" Igor asked. Suddenly, he felt he was being too talkative. Precious time is slipping away in these useless conversations!

"Is there any way to convince Kuren?" Kadi asked, looking at Igor expectantly.

"Uh… I tried that just now. It didn't work." Igor sounded a little disappointed. The plan I'd so carefully made now seems meaningless; I just can't get anyone to listen to me.

However, a thought struck Igor. Wait, there seem to be huge flaws in Kadi's plan! His plan is to avoid a head-on confrontation, but the reality is we're all fighting head-on right now! And we can't even communicate with the others. How are we supposed to convey our ideas? It's practically impossible!

Igor started to feel even more disappointed. Kadi's plan is good, but there's no way to test it. Everyone is in a state of resistance, so there's no chance to talk to them. In other words, Kadi's plan is useless. There's no way to implement it…

Igor felt utterly despondent. Just like Kuren, he felt himself being overcome by those negative emotions.

"Alas, what a pity," Kadi sighed. "I didn't intend to do things this way, but what choice do we have when our situation is so dire?"

Kadi's lament left Igor baffled. Suddenly, his negative emotions were replaced by a sense of the unknown, all stemming from Kadi.

"I'm sorry, Igor."

The apology startled Igor. Then, he calmly accepted it. So Kadi's earlier words were just to comfort me, he thought. He can't keep up the lies anymore, so he has to apologize.

"I didn't want to do this, but I really have no other way!" Kadi repeated, as if this apology had been a heavy weight on his conscience.

Igor sighed. He had nothing more to say. This kind of comfort is useless to me…

"Damn it! I originally wanted you to hide and recover properly, but it seems you have to go out again!"

"Hmm?" Igor was confused by Kadi's words. What on earth is he talking about?

"I mean—you need to go harass the enemy!" Kadi said.

"What?" Igor was even more puzzled.

"We don't have much time. We have to hurry." This time, Kadi began to speak with a nervous urgency.

"But…"

"No buts. You can do it," Kadi said.

Igor still didn't understand what Kadi was up to; he was completely baffled.

"I'm going to lift this Tree Shade now," Kadi explained. "My Tree Shade can only hide one person at a time. You can come here to hide anytime."

"Wait, hold on. Can you explain what's going on first?" Igor finally came to his senses; he had to understand what exactly was happening.

"Huh? But we don't have much time!"

"Regardless of whether we have time or not, you have to make me understand what's happening first!" Igor shouted, the feeling of being kept in the dark making him extremely uncomfortable.

"You'll understand soon enough," Kadi spoke in a torrent, as if he wouldn't get another chance to say it all. "Anyway, remember what I said: don't fight him head-on. We won't confront him directly; we'll maneuver around him. Also, you won't be able to find me for a good while. But don't worry, I definitely won't run away. I'll be right by your side. It's just that right now, I absolutely have to go prepare for our plan."

"No, wait…" Before Igor could fully process it, he found his connection with Kadi severed…

Just as he was about to scratch his head, an unusual gust of wind rushed towards his head. Instinctively, Igor ducked, then heard a SWISH! A long knife swept over his head. If he hadn't dodged in time, his scalp would likely have been sliced off.

"What the…" Igor was about to swear, but as he turned his head, he saw a long spear thrusting towards him.

"Damn it, what is happening?" Igor yelled as he dodged, quickly surveying his surroundings.

He was under siege. His attackers were none other than the enemy knights who had been bitten by the Exchange Beasts from the Alchemy Workshop!

It was only then that Igor realized he had suddenly been thrown into Kuren's Inner World. At this moment, he was fighting steadfastly alongside the others!

The Death Knights were numerous to begin with, and their characteristic lack of sensation made Igor realize he was in for a grueling fight!

That Kadi, he's really unreliable! Igor thought.

However, this wasn't the time to ponder such things. He had to focus his entire being, for he was now in a state of war.
