One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife-Chapter 838: Lunch
Sebastian Blackwood murmured softly, an elegant trace of fatigue between his handsome brows.
He looked as if Ivy Kensington had just bullied him, making Ivy purse her lips, "Tell me about Ronnie’s situation, and I’ll leave as soon as you’re finished."
Sebastian watched as the woman seemed eager to leave, not caring for him in the slightest.
He sneered slightly, curling his thin lips, "Make me a meal this afternoon, and after you’re done, I’ll take you to see Ronnie."
He remembered her culinary skills were excellent, and it had been a long time since he’d eaten her cooking.
This man!
Ivy was furious when she heard this. She really suspected he was deliberately stalling for something.
As if seeing through her suspicion, Sebastian said calmly, "Relax, Ronnie is fine. I won’t hurt her."
Though his tone was calm, it didn’t sound like a lie, and Ivy bit her lip, "Fine, I’ll trust you this one last time!"
If he deceived her again, she’d definitely never let it go!
"Where’s the kitchen? Are there any ingredients?"
Not wanting to waste time, Ivy rolled up her sleeves and asked.
Sebastian supported his forehead with one hand, gesturing vaguely towards the room across.
His office was more like an expansive flat, complete with a gym, and naturally, a kitchen too. Usually, only the nutritionist used it, making Ivy the first to enter.
"Knock knock––"
As Ivy entered the kitchen, Owen Rhodes pushed open the office door and walked in.
Looking worriedly at Sebastian, "Master Blackwood, are you alright now?"
This morning, it wasn’t that Sebastian was unwilling to keep his promise, deliberately not taking Ivy to see Ronnie, but his heart problem had resurfaced.
He was on the brink of unconsciousness.
Owen didn’t dare let this be known. Arthur Blackwood’s people were already watching Sebastian like hawks, ready to pounce like hungry wolves if anything happened.
So he made an excuse that Sebastian was attending a private international meeting, preventing anyone from finding out.
Only Sylvia Sterling knew, as she was his attending physician and understood his condition best.
"Master Blackwood, Dr. Sterling said she’ll be back in the country in a couple of days."
Owen mentioned, and it must be said, Sylvia Sterling was very dedicated. Sebastian was her patient, and she’d surely see it through to the end.
Hearing this, Sebastian furrowed his brow slightly, "Understood."
He knew this favor he had to owe.
"Master Blackwood, should I prepare lunch for you?"
Owen hadn’t seen Ivy, assuming she had left from elsewhere earlier. Since it was now lunchtime, he asked as usual.
Sebastian raised his hand slightly, "No need." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Not planning to have a meal?
As Owen thought about this, he heard the kitchen exhaust fan start up and realized his question was unnecessary.
"Alright, Master Blackwood, I’ll head downstairs first. Notify me if you need anything."
In the kitchen.
When Ivy first stepped into the kitchen, she was stunned by the luxury before her.
Sebastian Blackwood, a man who truly knew how to enjoy life!
Even in a workspace, the kitchen occupied nearly fifty square meters, in this priceless central locale. This man was indeed wealthy!
Silently grumbling, Ivy opened the double-door fridge, which was filled to the brim with all kinds of ingredients, all fresh in date.
She couldn’t help but sigh again at the perks of wealth, everything was so well-prepared no matter the place.
It had been ages since Ivy had been in a kitchen, but her basic skills remained. She prepared three dishes and a soup.
All of them were her specialties.
Just as she was about to serve them, at that moment...
