Chapter 300 - 300: Wrath of the Sea Kings
Noah's location.
At this moment, Mio couldn't help but feel a wave of awe as he gazed once more upon Noah.
It was enormous.
Even Asuka, seeing Noah for the first time, was stunned and exclaimed, "It's huge! A ship like this should be able to house the entire population of Fishman Island, right?"
"Yes," Mio nodded. "This ship was originally designed to hold all the residents of Fishman Island."
In fact, the construction of this ship was a mystery—no one knew how it had been built. Moreover, if it were ever damaged, only someone of the D clan could repair it.
Gently placing his hand against the ship, Mio appeared incredibly small next to Noah's immense frame.
With a thought—
Noah vanished.
It disappeared from the area without a trace.
Simultaneously, Noah's form began to materialize inside Mio's cultivation tank.
A faint, illusory figure appeared atop Noah's hull in the tank. If nothing went wrong, this was likely Noah's ship spirit. The emergence of a ship spirit meant the vessel had gained both life and soul, making its cultivation entirely possible.
"Hah!"
After taking a deep breath, Mio's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Yes—excitement.
He had cultivated many beings before, but it was rare for him to feel this level of anticipation—unless the creature in question was truly exceptional or the genes used were uniquely powerful.
This time, the genes weren't extraordinarily strong.
But the existence being cultivated was Noah.
"Let's see what you become after cultivation, Noah," Mio grinned.
Without hesitation, he transferred all the collected genes into the gene tank. However, he held a few in reserve—such as the Golden Lion's genes and those of some Devil Fruit users he had previously harvested.
He had a feeling that once Noah was cultivated, it would become a near-perfect existence.
And such a being should not be vulnerable to seawater.
In addition, all the genes acquired through previous lotteries were fed into the gene slots as well.
Once everything was in place, Mio pressed the "Cultivate" button.
The cultivation process began.
Turning to Asuka and Erica, Mio said, "Let's go."
"Looks like we're about to welcome a new partner," Erica said with a smile.
"Though I haven't seen it yet, I bet this new partner will be incredibly strong," Asuka nodded, a glint of anticipation in his eyes.
"I'm not sure how strong exactly, but in terms of raw power, it'll definitely be stronger than you," Mio replied with a smirk.
There was no question about it. After all, Noah was gigantic. Once given a physical form, that body would grant it immense strength. Add to that the KanColle gene and the Hulk gene...
Don't underestimate the Shipgirl gene.
The Shipgirl gene was immensely powerful—it essentially transformed a carefully crafted warship into a human form, retaining all of the ship's attributes: tonnage, defense, impact force. All of it became part of the transformed body.
In other words, a casual punch from a Shipgirl was like being hit by a full-speed warship.
The power boost the Shipgirl gene would give to Noah was unimaginable.
Now add the Hulk gene on top of that.
There was no need to elaborate on Hulk's strength. With that level of augmentation and Noah's own inherent power, even Mio wasn't confident he could overpower the final result.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Asuka said, smiling. The thought of potentially sparring with such a powerhouse thrilled him.
Mio's eyes glimmered with equal anticipation.
He shook his head lightly, and the trio began making their way out of Fishman Street.
But just then—
A massive shadow loomed in the deep sea beyond Fishman Island.
Mio turned his head and looked toward it calmly. "They've really come... and they're massive."
It wasn't just one Sea King.
There were several—enormous Sea Kings, far bigger than average. Each one was over 5,000 meters long.
Their size was staggering.
These giants were the guardians of Noah.
Now that Noah had vanished, they had no choice but to appear. One of them even let out a thunderous roar directed at Mio.
"Human, where have you taken Noah?" the Sea King's roar echoed. In Mio's ears, the words transformed into the Sea Kings' native language.
Mio looked at them without fear. Though they were colossal, they didn't intimidate him. He replied coldly, "Noah belongs to me now. If you don't want to die, leave."
The moment the words left his mouth—
A powerful wave of Conqueror's Haki erupted.
The seabed trembled from the force of Mio's presence.
Even the Sea Kings showed visible fear in their eyes.
Yet, they didn't back down. The lead Sea King continued to roar, "Noah isn't yours to take. One day, the Promised One will appear and command us to bring Noah to the surface!"
"You mean your king—the Sea King?" Mio asked calmly.
"You know the Sea King?" The Sea Kings were visibly surprised.
"Not only do I know the Sea King," Mio sneered, "I know who the Sea King is and where they are right now."
A cold glint flashed in Mio's eyes as he added, "The Sea King is still a child—undeveloped and unawakened. As for Noah... I already told you, Noah belongs to me now. The new Sea King will not be the Promised One. Leave."
"I don't know why you say that, but Noah cannot be taken," the Sea King snarled.
"Hmph." Hearing this, Mio's gaze sharpened. With a cold snort, he said one word:
"Hanba."
At that moment—
Outside Fishman Island, a colossal red figure charged forth.
Its size made it a formidable presence even among these giant Sea Kings. Its ferocious visage and crushing aura radiated an unmistakable killing intent.
"Roar!"
Hanba let out a deafening roar, staring down the Sea Kings with murderous eyes. "Leave!"
One of the Sea Kings didn't respond—it simply swung its massive tail toward Hanba. Its sheer size made every movement rumble through the sea like an earthquake.
But Hanba merely raised an arm.
He caught the incoming tail in his hand and swiftly covered his limbs with Armament Haki.
With a ferocious roar, Hanba gripped the tail with both hands—and yanked hard.
Rip!
The Sea King's tail tore clean off.
Blood sprayed across the ocean floor, dyeing the water red.
