One Piece: I'm Destined to Be the Son-in-Law King!-Chapter 174: Caesar Clown, the Prized Treat

"Caesar escaped?"

Roya's lips curved just a little as he listened to his assistant's report.

A few days before, a huge explosion had ripped through Punk Hazard. Caesar Clown, the main cause of it all, had somehow slipped away from the prison ship that was supposed to take him to Impel Down.

Now, the World Government had put a price on his head.

"Evil Scientist" Caesar Clown, wanted for 300 million Berries!

This is my chance to check out Dressrosa , Roya thought.

He remembered seeing Caesar hanging out on Hawaii Island during his vacation. Caesar was with Monet, one of Doflamingo's people. That made it pretty clear they were in contact.

With Punk Hazard in ruins, Caesar's next move was obvious. He'd run straight to Doflamingo for protection.

But first, Roya needed to be sure about something.

"Lu Yun, get a warship ready. We're going to Punk Hazard!"

"Sir, Punk Hazard is surrounded by the World Government. I hear it's filled with deadly poison gas, a place where no one can survive."

"It's fine, just do what I say."

"Understood."

The warship sped off, reaching Punk Hazard in less than a day.

Roya stood on the ship's deck, staring at the island.

From a distance, it was covered in a thick, purple fog. No animals were to be seen, and even the plants looked dead.

A truly forbidden place.

The World Government's people had already left, so no one would stop them.

Roya asked quietly, "Lu Yun, if we wear protective gear, can we get inside the research facility?"

"No way."

Lu Yun shook his head.

"On the way here, I checked with the science guys. That poison gas is hydrogen sulfide, a super dangerous gas made by Caesar himself. It's really nasty stuff, and even Vegapunk has trouble cleaning it up."

"Even a little bit of skin contact can cause serious damage, maybe even death. We don't have the right kind of suits to protect us."

The G-5 branch didn't have much money. The armory had some gas masks, but they wouldn't do any good in Punk Hazard's toxic environment.

"Okay, I get it."

Roya sighed, disappointed.

He wasn't really surprised. Punk Hazard was important to the World Government, and they wouldn't have abandoned the research facility unless they had no other choice.

Even Vegapunk couldn't handle it and had to leave with his team. Rushing in would be suicide.

If he wanted to enter Punk Hazard, he'd have to wait for the poison fog to clear on its own, or find the person who created it.

Caesar Clown!

Caesar could purify the island!

Roya narrowed his eyes.

I have to get my hands on Caesar.

The research facility held not only valuable scientific equipment but also a very special Artificial Devil Fruit.

The Azure Dragon Fruit!

It had the same powers as the real Azure Dragon Fruit. If he had to eat a Devil Fruit, this would be his top choice.

The only thing that bothers me is that the dragon form is pink ... a little too girly.

It was Monet calling.

"Young Master, Caesar has been captured!"

In just one sentence, the Royal Palace lobby became tense.

Doflamingo's smile faded, and veins popped on his forehead. If Caesar is gone, Kaido will kill me!

"Monet, what happened?"

"It was the Big Mom Pirates!"

Monet's voice was filled with worry. She knew how important Caesar was to the Family.

But facing the powerful Big Mom Pirates, she could only watch as they took Caesar away, not even daring to fight back.

"Big Mom?!"

Doflamingo's breath caught in his throat, and he slumped onto his throne, feeling defeated. Even with Kaido as an ally, he wouldn't dare mess with Big Mom.

Big Mom has the power to destroy me!

He couldn't understand why Big Mom wanted Caesar. There shouldn't be any connection between them.

"Young Master, this is bad!"

More bad news kept coming.

Trebol rushed in, "Just now, warships from the Marine G-5 branch arrived at the port. That damn Black Hair is here too!"

Doflamingo, already in a foul mood, frowned deeply, his face dark as a storm cloud at the mention of Roya.

Inside Cake Castle, Big Mom stared at Caesar with hungry eyes.

"Mama wants you to make a medicine that can turn humans into Giants. With your science skills, you can do it, right?"

"Well, that kind of thing..."

No way, you old hag!

Caesar cursed in his mind, but seeing Big Mom's scary aura, he knew he'd be killed if he said no.

"Of course, I can do it!"

Caesar dropped his scared act and looked confident. "Lady Big Mom, I've been researching giant medicine, but Punk Hazard was destroyed, and my research data..."

"Get to the point!"

Big Mom was getting impatient.

Caesar quickly changed his tune. "I need a lot, a lot of research money!"

"Mama doesn't care about money. As long as you get results that satisfy me, you can spend as much as you want."

Big Mom didn't care about money. She just wanted Giants!

Caesar's eyes lit up, and he started dreaming of a life of luxury, his mouth practically stretching to the back of his head.

But first, he had to escape Totto Land.

Totto Land didn't have a research facility, and Big Mom didn't want to force Caesar to stay, because she wasn't worried about him escaping.

Caesar nodded quickly.

He had only one thing on his mind: get the money, run to Doflamingo, and live happily ever after.
