One Piece: New Order-Chapter 116: Roger Is Captured
Chapter 116: Roger Is Captured
Marine Headquarters, Marineford.
With Roger claiming the title of Pirate King, the impact was immeasurable.
The harbor was packed with warships, one after another. Some couldn’t even find a proper docking spot, so they simply lined up together in clusters.
Sakazuki’s ship arrived a little later than the rest, and by then, there were no open berths left.
But that didn’t slow anyone down. The marines simply used Geppo to leap off the ship and head straight for the harbor.
After giving a quick order, Sakazuki made his way toward the massive fortress that was Marine Headquarters.

Inside the fortress, in the meeting hall, a conference had already been running for four days straight. Different departments rotated in and out nonstop to keep the discussion going.
Sakazuki entered and quietly found a spot in the corner. After listening for a while, he got a clear grasp of the main direction they had decided on.
For now, the primary course of action was this:
Launch a full-scale manhunt for Pirate King Gol D. Roger.
Every island the man had passed through and every person he had spoken with would be tracked down, investigated, and interrogated. No one was to be overlooked.
Just then, a soldier walked up and whispered something to Sakazuki.
He gave a slight nod, stood up, and headed to the Fleet Admiral’s office.
Pushing the door open, he was met with the sight of nearly all the high-ranking officers gathered inside. Admiral Sengoku, Chief Instructor Zephyr, Vice Admiral Garp, Vice Admiral Morris, and Vice Admiral Tsuru were all present.
When Kong saw Sakazuki walk in, he said, "Take a seat, Sakazuki."
Two soldiers immediately brought over a single-person sofa.
Looking at the people present, the fleet admiral began, "Next, we’re going to talk about the fallout from all this. Based on recent intelligence, more and more people have been heading out to sea to become pirates.
"The number of them across the world has increased tenfold, maybe more. It’s completely out of control. And those damn newspapers keep glorifying Roger.
"The government already sent envoys to negotiate, but it’s useless. Those lunatics only care about their own profits."
He slammed the desk in frustration.
The heavy sound echoed through the room and everyone could feel the fury bottled up inside him.
After taking a few deep breaths, Kong continued, "The pirates are in full riot now. Out in the New World, they’re desperately searching for Roger.
"They’ve gone completely wild and don’t care about rules anymore. Sengoku. Garp. Sakazuki. All three of you are being stationed there, stop the chaos from spreading any further."
The three nodded. No one objected.
After a moment of thought, the fleet admiral added, "This year’s conscription will start ahead of schedule. Doesn’t matter if they’re good or bad, or what their backgrounds are. Just get a large number of recruits in now. We need them to face what’s coming. And then..."
The meeting lasted deep into the night.
Once it ended, there was no time to rest. Everyone immediately set out for the New World.

New World, unknown waters.
Night.
Aboard the Oro Jackson, all the Roger Pirates members had gathered.
Earlier that day, with the announcement of the disbandment of the crew, this might be the last time they all met together like this.
No one knew how long they’d been talking when Roger suddenly spoke. "That voice... it must be the truth. Someone’s about to be born, and they’ll surpass us."
Everyone smirked a little. They were clearly confident that no one could surpass them so easily.
His voice rose again. "We came too early..."
Rayleigh let out a sigh. "One Piece, huh? I wonder who’ll end up finding it."
Rubbing his chin, Roger grinned widely. "Obviously, it’ll be my son."
A vein popped on Rayleigh’s forehead.
Smack!
He slapped Roger’s hand away from his chin.
"You don’t even have a son."
Roger chuckled. "I’ll have one soon. Wahahahahaha!"
As his booming laughter echoed, the rest of the crew joined in.
"Let’s have a big drink!"
"Head for a sea without Marines!"
"I’m jumping off the ship first!"
"Yeahhhh!!!"

A year and a half later...
South Blue. Baterilla Island.
In a quiet home up in the hills, Roger was doing some chores when he abruptly broke into a fit of violent coughing.
"Cough... cough...!"
Blood spilled from his mouth, dripping through his fingers and onto the floor. His wife, Portgas D. Rouge, rushed over and gently rubbed his back while handing him tissues.
Roger took them and forced a faint smile.
"Don’t worry. I’m fine. Just... running out of time."
Rouge’s face was full of worry.
That night, the lights in the villa stayed on for a long time, with the two of them talking for hours.
When Roger finally got his wife to fall asleep, he stepped outside and unleashed the full extent of his Voice of All Things ability.
He kept it going for a long time, but eventually, drenched in sweat, he was interrupted by another round of coughing.
He furrowed his brows. ’The Marines? How could that be?’
Even though they had only scanned the area once before pulling out, Roger had still managed to trace them.
He wanted to relocate, but his body couldn’t take it anymore. If he delayed now, he wouldn’t survive long enough to carry out the final part of the plan.
Thinking for a while, he turned around and walked back inside, picking up a Den Den Mushi that hadn’t been touched in ages.
"Hey, Rayleigh..."

A few days later.
The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, was captured.
The news shook the world.
Just when things had started to calm down, chaos erupted again.
On his ship, Shiki listened to the report, disbelief twisting his expression.
"What kind of joke is this?! A man like Roger... caught by those Marine weaklings?!"
Boom!
He killed the messenger on the spot.
But judging from the faces of the others, he knew... it was real.
Anger overtook reason, and his entire body shot into the sky, flying straight toward Marine Headquarters.
"Impossible... Roger!!!"

Meanwhile, Rayleigh, who had just settled on the Sabaody Archipelago, made his way to South Blue.

Kergashi Island. Darrons Kingdom. Royal Palace.
Inside the palace, the King held a letter in his hand, staring at the detailed information, completely stunned.
"The bloodline... of that butcher Gol D. Roger..."
He summoned all his ministers to discuss it.
The target was a woman—and a baby.
Reactions varied. Some couldn’t get past the moral line. Others wanted to tear them apart with their own hands.
The debate raged deep into the night...
Then, one by one, royal decrees were issued from the palace, spreading across the kingdom.
