Although he could have just slipped into his shadow before any eyes could notice him, Leo didn't even try to be sneaky about his exit.

His play's main act might have been over, but the closing act was just getting started. In order to make a proper impact, Leo used Shadow Copy to recreate an image that everyone was familiar with throughout the past few years.

"Cassian?!"

Despite being all sneaky, the cameras were somehow able to take a single picture of him, the very same one that was used in all public warnings and wanted posters.

Naturally, Leo was the only one who was aware that Cassian purposely let the picture be taken.

While he had basically given up on getting help lawfully, he still wanted to see the reaction of those who could recognize him after he achieved his revenge in the end.

Of course, aside from some obscure theorists on the web, none of the people that really mattered tried to reveal the truth. In fact, the negative reputation that Cassian got was even more exaggerated than it should have been.

'This should be enough for a statement, right?'

In retrospect, Cassian's little probe wasn't that smart, mostly an emotional decision. However, thanks to that, Leo didn't have to do much to grab attention. Negative influence was still influence.

Since someone had posted about it as soon as the Gate turned blue, quite a passionate crowd had already formed around, allowing Leo to revel with his 'admirers'.

"Where are the Heroes? Someone alert the authorities!"

The majority of the reactions were that of panic and fear, but occasionally, an excited scream would break out.

"Ohhhh! The Lord of Shadows is really out!"

Most of the voices came from the middle of the crowd, so no one could really tell the source, but somehow, not all reactions were as bad as Leo expected them to be.

'Do we really have that many fans?'

Customary of an omitted character, Leo had no future information about Cassian, but it seemed like all the digging he did into it was merely the tip of the iceberg.

'Well, I guess the impact itself is less exaggerated.'

Was it because Leo had yet to make any sudden moves? Although they screamed and called for help, the crowd didn't start running for their life just yet.

It was as if they were waiting to see what the reappeared controversial Villain would do or say. Most of the observers were curious how he came out from this specific Gate, especially those who watched Aurora's team enter on its own.

"Was he waiting for Aurora inside?'

"Another assassination attempt?"

Those who knew about Cassian's past whispered their assumptions around, still hoping for the great secret to reveal itself.

"What do you know? Maybe he was hiding inside this Gate after breaking out of prison and Aurora's team flushed him out."

"Eh? Isn't that rude of them then? Cassian would have cleared the Gate if he wanted to come out alive anyway."

"What do you know? If he was somehow stuck inside, Aurora might have actually saved his life!"

"Huh! How can you be so sure? Maybe Cassian is the one that saved them, Aurora and her team aren't even out yet."

Others matter-of-factly stated their theories as if they were the truth, switching the roles between the Villain and the Hero.

"Yeah… What happened to Aurora?"

"Is something keeping her inside, or could it be…"

However, the already intense mood quickly turned sour when Aurora's fans became aware of a very unpleasant possibility.

All of a sudden, some of the eyes that looked at Cassian with fear started turning hostile. Although human instinct usually stopped people from provoking dangerous threats, everything depended on their mentality.

If it was related to someone who they placed more value on compared to their own lives, illogical actions could be acted upon. Especially when the target looked less and less intimidating by the second.

'Alright, let's get this done with before things get ugly.'

Although Leo wanted to stay still and observe some more, things as they were might break into an unnecessary riot. Civilian casualties weren't part of his plan, nor was running away in fear.

He was only here to state his stance as a Maverick Villain, rather than start more misunderstanding. Since Aurora was okay… And close to coming out as well, so he had to wrap up his performance.

"We are here with you, live at the popular Hero, Aurora's most recently targeted Gate. The previously notorious Villain known as Cassian somehow seems to have made an appearance, and…"
