Twin Swords Shifter.

Two Grand Elders.

Yang Lujia had already planned everything all along. From the moment he encountered Young Master Hao in the high-end restaurant, Fragrant Mine Restaurant, he already had a plan in mind, specifically after asking the restaurant's owner all the things he needed to know about this family.

Among the three large families, the most reclusive ones were the Fu Clan while the other two always loved to have the spotlight. Moreover, these two families had each a Grand Elder with them, with each having the strength not less than the patriarch.

After asking and knowing that the patriarchs only had the strength of a peak Saint King, he immediately understood what to do. If not for them having the same strength, they would have already subjugated the other families themselves.

However, they did not—showing how they were apprehensive of each other.

Everything then came into the plan. Before finally leaving the restaurant, he created a formation that was bound by time. The time within the formation was much slower than the flow of time in the real world. With this, he was able to forge two swords. These swords had the strength rivaling peak Saint Kings. Moreover, as soon as these swords came into being, they actually formed an embryo and soon turned into things with their own consciousness.

This was what Yang Lujia wanted after asking Fortuniel if he could do that. Turned out, he had already surpassed this world's weapon-forging limits. He was only just restricted by the world's rules.

Going right into the Hao Clan's main headquarters, he quickly found the Grand Elder and trapped him inside the world he made for his female disciple. He then replaced him with one of the Twin Swords Shifter, who had a sharper edge than the other. After instructing the sword to settle down and contact him when news would come out, he went to the Du Clan after killing Young Master Du and did the same.

One might ask, "Why did he not go to the patriarchs directly?"

Anger could be acted out, but a real one would be more realistic for everyone to believe him. The moment he killed the two young masters, the two families also erupted. As expected, the two patriarchs flared and even hired some assassins to kill him during the night when he was sleeping.

But they were taken care of by him without even opening his eyes while pretending to be asleep. However, he could not deny that he really did have a good sleep.

It was just that no one knew how he planted a bomb inside each of the clans.

"It seems like the plan is really going smoothly," Yang Lujia commented and looked at the bowing two elders, which were actually and technically the swords he forged himself. "What has happened in the two clans recently?"

"Reporting to master, the patriarchs had issued a death sentence order on you. However, they retracted it the moment we decided to intervene and used all the reasonable excuses we could come up with just as you instructed us to do so."

"Good." He nodded at these swords. "What about their movements tonight?"

"We were specially sent out tonight to deal with you, master," they answered in chorus.

"They now think too highly of me now, huh?" Yang Lujia chuckled to himself and looked at his own swords satisfyingly. "Now, I want you two to transform into somebody else, while I return the two Grand Elders to their family tonight. From now on, it will be your identities for as long until I will instruct you to come back to me."

The long night was peaceful and everybody had their serene rest except for some people—the Association Head, the City Mayor, Patriarchs Du and Hao, and that extremely beautiful young lady.

"Fortuniel, are you sure that you can extract their memories and tamper with them? Isn't that taxing as you said?"

"The host would not need to be worried about Fortuniel. Fortuniel will do as the host will say. Whatever order is your command and whatever your command is—Fortuniel will readily comply. Although dealing with memories might somewhat exhaust me, the host did not need to worry." ƒ𝑟𝐞𝗲𝘄𝙚𝚋𝑛o𝙫𝒆𝒍.𝒄𝘰𝓂

Yang Lujia heaved a sigh of relief. If it was in Da Shenghou, he could very well do anything with memories—but due to the restrictions brought upon by the realm he was in, he was unable to. He didn't know for what reason were these restrictions for, but he certainly knew that they were not something good for him.

As soon as he finished talking to Fortuniel in his head, he immediately let the swords transform each into a person he wanted them to embody.

A smile appeared on his face as he looked at the leaving figures during the night… he was very satisfied. Looking in a certain direction, he was still smiling—but there was something else in his smile that could give anyone chills to the bones.

"Now, Fu Clan, what will you do? Haha…"

He found this situation enjoyable and quickly thought ahead of what he wanted to happen. Early in the morning, he should be able to receive good news. He also couldn't wait to see the expressions of those people.

"An enemy who went straight head-on to you would lose his footing when presented with another direction... this is the direction I am giving them… my performance in the arena should be enough. Moreover, I don't believe that not one of them is smart enough…"

Yang Lujia closed his eyes as he fell into a slumber he always wanted to every day and now he had done it twice.

Meanwhile, the people of the two clans were in a state of disarray. That was because their Grand Elders whom they had sent to take care of the enemy had not come back to their camp yet.

"What could have happened to them?" Patriarch Du's face could not be blacker than the starless night sky. "Patriarch Hao, should we really go against that kid? He is very strange!"

"Why would we not?! He killed both our sons and now, you're hesitating when you saw his strength? What kind of father are you?"

Patriarch Du sighed and looked up at the skies with a face that told them they should let go of this matter. Having the Grand Elders go out and not come back after two hours signified that something was indeed wrong with the situation. If they wanted their clans to remain in Sacred City, what could they do other than submit? Unless the association was willing to help them. However, from the looks of it, they would not be able to retaliate like today as they had already exhausted all of their assets to bribe the association and the City Mayor—and the church had turned a blind eye to this matter.

After all, Patriarch Du's son was only a low-level Quasi-Holy Son. Although Young Master Hao was a middle-level Quasi-Holy Son, he really did not mean much to the archpriest. Only someone like Lao Han could get the archpriest to personally take an action.

This was his train of thought. Patriarch Du saw through all of these.

However, Patriarch Hao seemed to be still lingering on that anger that he forgot to assess the situation clearly.

"Do you really want to have a complete fallout with that kid? You see… the Fu Clan might not have made any movements but once we lost some of our forces, they might attack us at any time. Especially now that the Grand Elders had not gone back…" Patriarch Du commented further. "Patriarch Hao, do you want our clans to become a gambling stake for the Fu Clan to revel?"

Patriarch Hao turned silent, but the anger in his heart was seething like think smoke coming off a chimney. "I understand, but I can't just swallow this all in my stomach. We technically had cut off all of our resources, but we gained nothing instead. Even the City Mayor hated us for changing the rules at that time and the Association Head even demanded one of our families' precious treasures! That's extremely not something I cannot stomach! Irreconcilable!"

"But compared to losing your entire clan, what weighed more? Your clan or those treasures you gave up or the losses you incurred because of our poor decisions?" Patriarch Du retorted.
