Overpowered Villain Returnee in the Apocalypse - System is for Losers-Chapter 10: Trump Card
Chapter 10: Trump Card
The cigarette rolled and flipped through the air. The extreme gas leak had filled every spot till the barrier's extension.
Just before coming here to the old building, we had done the same thing.
Though the gas wasn't enough, the moment a safe zone was not safe from the inside, it was immediately replaced. It was made clear with an explosion.
Similar to the one that was about to happen now.
Though the mutt stood right in front of me, I cared not.
My eyes were on the hero, and the hero's eyes were on me.
As if time had slowed down, we could see the cigarette slowly near the barrier.
'Attack me,' I mouthed the words, and the hero's eyes turned into sharp blades.
There was a trump card we held. A reason that made the two of us a perfect pair that went beyond our opposing attributes.
Hidden in the last line of the skill definition.
[Villain: 10x Stat boost against the Hero.]
[Hero: 10x Stat boost against the Villain.]
As long as our attacks were directed toward each other and only as long as they were directed toward each other.
All our stats were multiplied by ten.
The human limit was at fifteen.
The hero's agility stat was 19…
With the buff…
"HYAAA!"
The hero's screams rang. Our heightened stats had made the world slow down.
A level that should exist yet in this scenario was achieved.
A cloud burst, and a sonic boom resounded, with all his strength, the hero kicked off the building and came rushing straight toward me.
His figure curved from the sheer speed.
The cigarette went inside the barrier.
A spark of flame started to spread.
Head first, the hero came out of the barrier and straight toward me.
—BOOOOOOOM!
The explosion that swallowed up the entire safe zone rang as the cigarette showed its prowess, the hero immediately landed and smacked into my body.
[Constitution: 190]
The hero smacked into me but barely damaged let on. He wrapped his hands around me and started to run again in a straight drive.
The barrier dissipated.
An explosion swallowed up the entire safe zone and the building crumbled into bits as it fell right where we were standing.
Time seemed to come back to normal as the hero's charge ended. All it took was the blink of an eye before we were much further away from the safe zone.
"GRRRRRRAAA!"
The hound's screams echoed in the air as the explosion swallowed it up, and then, the debris fell straight on it.
Sighs left us.
The hero fell on his butt and heaved breath after breath.
Explosion after explosion rang as the hound was slowly buried within the building. Only when it was all done did I start walking back to the spot.
A single iron pipe entered my sight as the burning debris was filled with dust and ash. I picked it up and climbed up the still ablaze debris.
My eyes were on the small part of the hound still sticking out.
As I got above it, I covered my mouth from the smoke and looked down.
"Wuu…" the hound whimpered.
"Super bonus, here I come."
I swung my hand down.
And drove the iron pipe into the hound's head. Its blood spurted out, but it didn't die. I pulled it out again and drove it in again.
The hound's painful groans continued as its blood soaked my feet, but I still kept at it.
And then.
[Impossible feat has been achieved. You have killed the boss of the first scenario]

But the messages didn't end.
[Congratulations. The source of the poison mist has been defeated in the first scenario]
"Oh?"
[Congratulations. The safe zones will now be removed]
As if in sync, all the marks of the safe zones on the minimap disappeared.
Followed by…
—CRAAAASH!!
—BANGGG!
[Vile evil has surfaced!]
I had made the hound drop all the buildings around on the barriers of the safe zones.
