Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 1252 - 1253: I’m a Straight Man (Part 1)
How many days have these clothes gone unwashed?
The floor was finally clean. Xiang Yiqing carried a pile of clothes out of the room. Xin Xiaoxiao’s washing machine was placed on the balcony. He went straight to the balcony.
He carefully sorted the clothes and threw them into the washing machine.
Then he returned to Xin Xiaoxiao’s room and tossed all the empty and half-eaten snack bags on the table into the trash can.
After tossing one bag, he glanced at it and finally concluded they were all junk food.
Day in and day out, what kind of life is this?
He cleaned up Xin Xiaoxiao’s room as quickly as possible, tidying it up to the extent that he could tolerate it.
After working up a sweat, he rolled up his shirt sleeves, put his hands on his hips, and looked at the person sleeping soundly on the bed, surprisingly hearing her faint snoring.
She’s really something, managing to sleep in such an environment every day.
Xiang Yiqing shook his head in bewilderment.
As he shook his head, the corners of his mouth inadvertently curled up slightly.
...
"Thirsty."
Exhausted, she didn’t want to open her eyes, but she was very thirsty. Xin Xiaoxiao licked her lips and murmured.
Finally, unable to bear the thirst, she slowly opened her eyes.
Her head hurt.
She clenched her fist and gave it a light punch, using the other hand to slowly prop herself up and leaned against the bedhead.
The bedside lamp was on, adjusted to a gentle light. She leaned against the bedhead, her sleepy eyes staring at the big bed.
Something’s not right...
The more Xin Xiaoxiao looked, the more she felt something was off. Why was her bed suddenly so tidy? Where did her clothes go?
This isn’t the style of her room, but it was undoubtedly her room.
Xiang Yiqing!
Suddenly, she thought of Xiang Yiqing, instantly awake. She quickly threw off the covers to get out of bed. Rising too fast, she felt dizzy and nearly fell.
Fortunately, her hands grabbed the bedhead in time. She waited for the dizzy spell to pass before stepping forward, scrutinizing her room while heading for the door.
The messy clothes were gone, her snacks had disappeared, and the trash bin had been replaced with a new bag.
She’s not dreaming, right?
If this wasn’t a dream, then Xiang Yiqing must have done all this?
While pondering, Xin Xiaoxiao walked out of the room, finding the living room tidier than she remembered.
"Xiang Yiqing?"
Her gaze swept around the living room, not finding Xiang Yiqing’s figure. She tried calling out, but there was no response.
He must have left.
Xin Xiaoxiao suddenly felt an emptiness inside. Her mouth turned downwards as she dragged her lazy steps to the kitchen, reaching out to open the refrigerator door.
As she reached for the icy water in the fridge, her hand suddenly paused.
She closed the refrigerator door again, finding a green sticky note on it with a line of writing.
"Boiled a kettle of water, it’s in the kettle. Don’t drink the water in the fridge. Remember to hang the clothes in the washing machine up to dry tomorrow morning."
The last word was cleanly and forcefully written.
Warmth filled Xin Xiaoxiao’s heart, a profound, comforting warmth.
She gently stroked the words written with a ballpoint pen on the sticky note. The writing matched the person.
"Alright."
Xin Xiaoxiao nodded at the sticky note, turned around, picked up a cup, and went to find the kettle, pouring herself a cup of water at just the right temperature.
She leaned against the window frame on the balcony, holding the cup in both hands, drinking water while looking at the clothes hanging on the drying rack, her lips curved, her eyebrows curving too.
Why does this cup of water taste sweeter than honey?
Sigh... what to do...
