Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 101: Thomas Shannon, I’m coming in
Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Thomas Shannon, I’m coming in
Thomas Shannon released her, seemingly lost in thought. His deep eyes gave her a cold, indifferent glance. "Get some sleep."
Leaving her with those words, he turned and walked away.
Sophie jumped off the bed and grabbed the corner of his shirt from behind. "Thomas Shannon."
Thomas Shannon paused, lowering his head. His gaze followed the corner of his shirt to the pale, slender hand holding it. freewebnσvel.cøm
Her pale fingers tightly gripped his black shirt, creating a striking visual contrast.
"What now?" His tone was incredibly impatient, yet his gaze remained fixed on her hand.
Sophie pouted. "Where’s my medicine?"
"In the first drawer of the bedside table!"
"Oh." Letting go of his shirt corner, Sophie turned to find the medicine.
So fierce! Not a gentleman at all.
She found the medicine in the first drawer, just as he’d said. Holding the medicine bottle, she got up to pour some water.
Seeing Young Master Shannon still standing there, she asked in confusion, "Why haven’t you left yet?"
"Just shut up!" Who is the master here? Him or her?
Sophie: "..."
Walking past Young Master Shannon, Sophie went to the tea table, poured a glass of water, opened the medicine bottle, tipped the medicine into her palm, and swallowed it with the water.
Only after personally witnessing her take the medicine did Thomas Shannon leave the bedroom.
Sophie went to the floor-to-ceiling windows. The night was deep, and the huge castle gleamed like a resplendent, magnificent Royal Palace.
She took a deep breath and secretly clenched her fists. I must not go insane... I must not!
Thomas Shannon went to the study room. A video conference awaited him.
When he entered, Charlie River immediately placed the collated documents on the desk. "Young Master, the documents are ready for your review."
Amelia Shaw understood the servants’ toil. She herself had been exhausted all day, working non-stop like a top that spun for twenty-four hours.
Only now could she rest for a while.
Amelia went upstairs, intending to find Thomas Shannon. When she saw him enter the study room, she paused to think for a moment, then went downstairs and into the kitchen.
Once, I could win all his attention without doing anything, just like God’s favored child. Now, no matter what I do, it seems I can’t get his attention anymore. I am not one to give up easily. Therefore, even if the road ahead is difficult, I will never give in. I have confidence in myself. Over the past two years, I’ve transformed from a young Lady from a rich family—one whose hands were unaccustomed to labor—into a woman capable both in high society and in the kitchen. Fortunately, I now possess excellent cooking skills. As the saying goes, to win a man’s heart, you must first win his stomach. So, tonight, I’ll start by conquering Thomas Shannon’s stomach.
She remembered his food preferences: she roasted a baby pigeon, prepared a medium-rare steak, made a thick soup and a vegetable salad, and poured a glass of red wine.
After an hour of preparation, Amelia carefully placed the midnight snack on a tray.
She lowered her head and took a light sniff. It was perfect in color, aroma, and taste.
A pleased smile curved her lips. Thomas Shannon will surely like this!
Arriving at the entrance of the study room, she freed one hand and knocked. "Thomas, I’m coming in."
As soon as she finished speaking, she pushed open the study door. Looking up, she met the icy, unyielding gaze of Thomas Shannon, who was seated at his desk.
He stared at her unblinkingly, and the coldness in his eyes made her want to retreat.
Taking a deep breath, she walked in with the tray, her voice soft and gentle. "Thomas, I made this midnight snack for you myself. Please try it and see if it’s to your liking."
