Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Have I been too indulgent with you lately?

The maids, seeing Thomas Shannon’s sudden arrival, were overjoyed, and each of them tried to show their most charming side, "Good morning, Young Master!"

"All of you, get out."

The maids were stunned for a moment. "Young Master, you...?"

"Get out, all of you! Don’t you understand?" The man’s eyes were cold, his handsome face tight with grim fury.

The maids were so frightened that they immediately fell silent, bowed humbly, and retreated from the courtyard.

Arriving at the maniac’s bedroom door, Thomas Shannon grabbed the handle with one hand and twisted it forcefully.

The bedroom door was pushed open. The maniac lying on the bed was still asleep.

After her first escape attempt through the window, it had been sealed shut from the outside, leaving the bedroom shrouded in darkness.

Only a faint sliver of light penetrated the room from the open doorway.

CLICK.

Thomas Shannon flicked on the light with one hand.

As the light flared on, Sophie instinctively raised a hand to shield her eyes.

Thomas Shannon strode to the bedside on his long legs and tossed the medicine bottle onto her.

The bottle struck Sophie squarely in the stomach, the pain causing her to curl up.

"Ow..."

Slowly opening her eyes and seeing this dreadful man, Sophie immediately felt her mood plummet.

"Young Master Shannon, what brings you here so early in the morning?"

"Your medicine."

Sophie looked down at the medicine bottle that had rolled to one side. She picked it up, then lifted her gaze. "Can you leave now?"

Don’t disturb my sleep.

I’m not some stray cat or dog he can tease when he’s in a good mood and discard when he’s not.

The only reason I can’t leave now is because my throat and face aren’t healed yet.

If one day my throat and face do heal... I’ll leave this hellish place, no matter the cost!

Sophie Sullivan didn’t know how long she would have to wait for that day.

Nor did she know if that day would ever come.

Thomas Shannon’s lips curled, his eyes cold and filled with profound meaning. "Are you trying to drive me away?"

"You could put it that way."

"Ridiculous. The clothes you’re wearing, the bed you’re lying in—which of these isn’t mine?"

Sophie sat up, the silk quilt sliding down her chest with the movement. "So, you want me to take off my clothes and return them to you?"

Thomas Shannon sneered. He’d had enough of coming here so early in the morning just to be aggravated by her.

"Get out here!"

Thomas Shannon slammed the door as he left.

Standing in the courtyard, Thomas Shannon took a deep breath. He really wanted to strangle this maniac.

Sophie dressed leisurely, then walked out into the courtyard, her face devoid of expression as she stopped before him.

"Lost your tongue? Don’t know how to greet me?"

With a simmering frustration in his chest, Thomas Shannon was determined to find fault with her.

For no particular reason, he just wanted to make things difficult for her.

"Young Master, what can I do for you?" Sophie asked nonchalantly, her tone casual.

"Is this your attitude?"

Oblivious to danger!

Sophie composed herself. "Young Master, if you’re in a bad mood and looking for someone to vent on, please find someone else. Don’t drag an innocent person like me into it."

Innocent?

She has the gall to call herself innocent?

"Maniac, have I been too indulgent with you lately? Has it made you forget your place?" ƒrēenovelkiss.com

Thomas Shannon had a thousand ways he wanted to kill her.

Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Her stubborn and unyielding nature was infuriating!

"I haven’t forgotten. I’m a servant." Sophie raised her hand and pointed to her head. "It’s ingrained right here."

Thomas Shannon sneered. "Now, tell me, is this attitude of yours appropriate for a servant?"
