Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 591 - 594: Who was the one saying no, but now still throws themselves into someone’s arms
Thomas Shannon suddenly turned his head, his cold eyes staring at her. "If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll do as you wish!"
Sophie Sullivan pursed the corner of her mouth and snorted.
She turned her head, looking at the rapidly retreating scenery outside the car window, and called Leo. "There’s no need to send someone to pick me up. I’ll be at the hospital soon."
Although surprised, Leo still complied. "All right, Miss Cecilia Branford, please be careful on the road."
After hanging up the phone, Sophie felt a burning gaze from her side. She put down her mobile phone, shot him a sidelong glance, and said, "What are you looking at? Haven’t you ever seen a beauty before?"
"Heh," Thomas Shannon couldn’t help but mock, "Have some shame. Don’t act completely shameless just because your actual face is ruined."
What does he mean by ’have some shame’?
Is he questioning her beauty again?
Sophie sneered. "Thomas Shannon, say that again?"
"You’re ugly. Don’t get too close to me."
Thomas Shannon pushed Sophie away as she tried to get closer to him.
"I’m ugly?" Sophie pointed to the tip of her nose, so angry she laughed. She simply wouldn’t stand for it!
She lunged forward, her hands cupping his handsome face and turning it towards her, flames burning in her eyes. "Thomas Shannon, you despise me for being ugly?"
Thomas Shannon: "..."
Charlie River, sitting in the passenger seat: "..."
I didn’t hear anything. I didn’t hear a thing.
Sophie smiled provocatively. "What, you said it but now you’re too cowardly to admit it? Thomas Shannon, you really are a beast!"
Thomas Shannon looked down, watching Sophie as she threw herself into his arms. His own arms, which had been still, suddenly lifted to wrap around her waist, pressing her soft body hard against him.
Just as Sophie was about to retreat, his sudden embrace made her whole body fall into his arms.
Her body was pressed tightly against his chest, fitting seamlessly, without a sliver of a gap.
"Who was it just saying ’no,’ yet is now throwing herself into my arms?"
Sophie shuddered. Looking down at her position, she had to admit... it was very indecent.
She glared angrily at the man who was calmly looking down at her. "Thomas Shannon, no one is more shameless than you!"
"Thanks for the compliment. I’ve also never seen anyone more ungrateful than you."
Sophie: "..."
After holding her for a while, Thomas Shannon showed no signs of letting go. Sophie couldn’t help but struggle. "Let me go! Stop hugging me."
"Weren’t you the one who threw yourself into my arms? Since you were so eager, how could I possibly not oblige by holding you?"
Sophie was so furious she felt like she was going to explode. She lifted her head and bit his shoulder hard.
"Bastard!"
Thomas Shannon grunted, the force in his arms loosening slightly. Sophie seized the opportunity and immediately withdrew from his embrace.
Sitting back in her seat, she pulled the seatbelt across and fastened it, then folded her arms across her chest, her expression indifferent.
Thomas Shannon held the curled-up Harry in his arms, his fingers gently stroking its fur. "Harry, do you see? Women are all this fickle and heartless."
"..."
"They lie when they say they like you."
"..."
"Women are the best at lying. The Miss sitting next to us is the best of them all."
"..."
"Don’t mess with her in the future. She’s fiercer than Gabriel and bites when she’s angry."
Sophie closed her eyes tightly, listening to his relentless comments. Her temples throbbed, and she felt as if her blood vessels were about to burst at any moment.
