Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 598 - 601: Don’t worry, no one can hurt you...
"Not accompanying me."
Only after her frustrated voice came through the telephone did Thomas Shannon calmly add, "It’s not to accompany me."
Sophie: "..."
Thomas Shannon’s lips curved. Sophie, are you jealous too?
However, this was probably just his own assumption.
This white-eyed wolf, she would never remember the good he had done for her.
She probably remembered every single word Lucifer had said to her, engraving them in her mind.
This woman was the most ungrateful one he had ever met in his entire life!
Sophie bent down, her toe throbbing with pain. Her voice carried a touch of pained weakness, "Then who are you accompanying?"
"What do you think?"
Sophie recalled him socializing. Since he wasn’t accompanying her, it must be for the clients.
Suddenly, she felt somewhat relieved. If only she had known earlier, she wouldn’t have kicked out like that. Ultimately, she was the one in pain.
Sophie hung up the telephone directly, threw her mobile phone onto the bed, and limped into the bath chamber.
After a tiring day, Sophie lay down on the bed and quickly fell asleep.
In her dream, she was in a luxurious and magnificent castle, stumbling and losing her way.
She walked forward in a daze; in the vast place, there wasn’t a single person.
The further she walked, the more pronounced the unease in her Heart became.
She cried out nervously, "Is anyone there?" Her voice echoed repeatedly.
Empty and desolate.
Sophie’s Heart tightened, and she collapsed as a wave of helplessness surged over her.
Just as she was crying helplessly in her confusion, a voice calling her name came from the distance.
She looked around and finally, staggered towards the sound.
Gradually, she ran out of the light and into the darkness.
She kept running and running, as if tireless, a conviction in her Heart that she must find the person calling her.
After an unknown amount of time, a sharp blade, glinting coldly, appeared before her in the darkness.
Before she could scream, the ice-cold blade stabbed into her Heart.
"Please don’t kill me..."
Sophie screamed and sat bolt upright, gasping for air. Her face was covered in sweat, and her entire back was soaked.
She clutched her chest tightly with one hand, her Heart palpitating violently, as if it would jump out of her chest at any moment.
The terror from the nightmare lingered.
She closed her eyes, clenched her fists, and told herself, "Sophie... it’s okay, no one can hurt you..."
She sat still, calming herself for a long time.
Then she got out of bed, intending to pour herself a cup of water, but the kettle on the tea table was empty.
She had no choice but to put on her slippers and go downstairs.
In the castle, the lights burned brightly all night.
The maidservant on night shift was downstairs. When Sophie came down, the maidservant saw her facial color was off and asked, "Maniac, what’s wrong with you?" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
"Nothing."
"Your facial color doesn’t look good..."
Sophie forced a smile. "Maybe I didn’t study well."
She went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and took out a bottle of water.
Leaning against the refrigerator, she had just unscrewed the cap and taken a few sips when she heard a noise from outside.
"Young Master, please be careful."
Raina Bell supported Thomas Shannon, his arm draped around her neck and his body leaning on her.
As she struggled to help him inside, the maidservant saw the situation and immediately came forward to offer assistance.
"There’s no need. You go make some hangover soup and bring it up later. I’ll help the Young Master upstairs first; he needs to rest."
"Raina, can you manage on your own?" The maidservant looked at her struggling and was skeptical.
Raina’s hand around Thomas Shannon’s slender waist tightened. "No problem."
