Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 64: Did You Eat an Explosive Medicine?
Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Did You Eat an Explosive Medicine?
He was a true battle companion, a partner in winning glory.
All-white Gabriel, whose fur was incredibly glossy, strutted proudly like an elegant noble gentleman.
Thomas Shannon took the reins and patted its head. Gabriel lowered its head to nuzzle him, letting out a low whinny.
With a flip, Thomas Shannon gracefully mounted the horse.
Sophie Sullivan was brought to the equestrian center by the man in black. There, she saw Thomas Shannon riding a white horse, galloping freely.
The white horse was unbelievably beautiful, and the man on its back was as handsome as a divine deity.
Together with the distant mountain peaks and the nearby equestrian center, they formed a harmonious and beautiful picture.
Thomas Shannon rode Gabriel up to Sophie Sullivan. Gabriel raised its head high, neighing loudly.
"Can I touch it?" Sophie Sullivan looked up, her voice full of genuine admiration. "It’s so beautiful."
Thomas Shannon’s lips hooked into a wicked smirk. He looked down at her condescendingly and nodded slightly.
Without hesitation, Sophie Sullivan reached out her hand.
"The doctor has prepared your medicine. Go to the medical office to get it."
Sophie Sullivan looked confused. "What medicine?"
"Medicine for that wretched voice of yours."
Gabriel galloped away. Sophie Sullivan watched as the man and horse gradually disappeared into the distance. She pursed her lips and turned to leave.
Under the guidance of the man in black, she arrived at the medical office.
It was the same doctor who had examined her previously. He handed her the medicine, which had already been prepared. "This is the initial prescription. Take it three times a day with warm water. While taking this medicine, avoid all spicy and stimulating foods."
"Understood. Thank you, Doctor."
Sophie Sullivan weighed the medicine in her hand and left the medical office.
Instead of returning to the backyard, she went straight back to the castle and, with an air of entitlement, entered Thomas Shannon’s bedroom.
She poured herself a glass of water and was just about to take the medicine when there was a knock on the bedroom door.
"Come in."
Minimus Hart pushed open the door, a bedsheet in her arms. She seemed unsurprised to see Sophie Sullivan sitting on the sofa as if she owned the place.
It was as if this was a common sight, no longer capable of stirring any emotion in her.
"I’m here to change the Young Master’s bedsheet," Minimus Hart stated simply and began to do so.
Sophie Sullivan swallowed all the pills, then stood up, intrigued. Arms folded, she watched Minimus Hart working diligently.
"Minimus Hart, there are no outsiders here. Stop pretending."
This semblance of peace from Minimus Hart was actually making her quite uneasy.
Minimus Hart remained silent, focusing on spreading the bedsheet.
Sophie Sullivan sneered. "Boring."
Carrying the removed bedsheet, Minimus Hart left the bedroom without a sideways glance.
If Minimus Hart truly intended to restrain herself like this, it wouldn’t be a bad thing. After all, Sophie didn’t have the time or energy to constantly battle wits with her enemies.
...
「That night.」
Top floor of Golden Wing Palace, a 270-degree panoramic view suite.
Men in black, one on either side, pulled open the suite doors, and Thomas Shannon stepped in.
"Thomas, you’re here?"
William Guillen, who had arrived earlier, had already opened a bottle of wine and now raised his glass to him.
Thomas Shannon undid his shirt buttons and sat down opposite him. "What’s so urgent?"
William Guillen glanced at him sideways, took a sip of red wine with a half-smile, and asked instead, "Thomas, you are one hour and twenty-three minutes late."
"Any objections?"
"No objections. I’m just curious, who exactly managed to delay you? For the ever-punctual Young Master Shannon to be late is quite something."
Thomas Shannon scoffed, poured himself a glass of wine, and took a sip.
