Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 711 - 714: Harry, Your Master is a Maniac
MEOW.
Harry slowly wandered over from the end of the bed, tentatively stretching out his claw to touch Sophie’s hand.
Seeing she didn’t react, he moved closer, curled up, and soon fell asleep.
Sophie stroked Harry’s head and smoothed his fur. "Harry, your master is a maniac," she said.
Pausing for a moment, she scratched his chin. "Do you agree, Harry?"
MEOW.
"You also agree he’s a maniac?" Sophie laughed, her mood greatly lifted.
Unfortunately, her big laugh widened the wounds on her face and caused her to gasp in pain.
Harry looked confused and YOWLED twice more, then lowered his head and closed his eyes to sleep.
Soon, he was snoring softly.
As Thomas Shannon left the room, he took a wireless earpiece from Charlie River and put it in his ear. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
After some noise from connecting to the transmission, he heard Sophie’s voice: "Harry, your master is a maniac."
"... "
"You also agree he’s a maniac?"
Along with Sophie’s voice, Thomas heard her smug laughter. She seemed to be having a great time! Furious, he scowled.
After a few more sentences, Sophie went silent.
Now, all Thomas could hear was Harry’s snoring through the wireless earpiece.
Thomas removed his earpiece and handed it back to Charlie River. He strode out of the medical office and said, "Record everything."
Charlie understood he meant to record all of Sophie’s conversations and nodded. "I understand, Young Master."
Completely unaware, Sophie didn’t know about the tiny listening device hidden in the bell around Harry’s neck.
Ever since that day, Thomas Shannon hadn’t visited the medical office again.
In the blink of an eye, a week had passed.
Sophie’s face had been treated several times. George Stanford examined her wounds and his expression turned serious.
"What’s wrong, Old Mr. Standford?"
"The healing is slower than I expected." George wrapped her wounds with gauze and reassured her, "But it’s okay. It doesn’t matter if it’s slow, as long as the wounds heal well."
Sophie nodded, preoccupied. Her unusual silence made George wonder.
"Fiona, what’s on your mind?"
"Old Mr. Standford, close the door."
Knowing she had something to say, George closed the door, returned to the bedside, and sat down. "Go ahead."
"Old Mr. Standford, I don’t want to hide it from you. I’m leaving soon."
She was just waiting for her wounds to heal.
Once they were healed, Lucifer would come to take her away.
"When?" George asked after a long pause.
"After my wounds have healed."
Leaning back in his chair, George lapsed into deep thought. Finally, he asked with concern, "When you leave, will Young Master Shannon know?"
Sophie chuckled, her laughter tinged with sarcasm. "If he knew, would I still be able to leave?"
Of course, she couldn’t let Thomas Shannon know.
If he found out, she wouldn’t stand a chance of escaping, even with wings!
"How are you going to leave?" George inquired. "What I mean is, without Young Master Shannon’s permission, how can you leave the manor?"
Sophie fixed her gaze on his face.
After a moment, George realized, "You’re not asking me to help you, are you?"
"Old Mr. Standford, you’re so clever."
George shook his head without hesitation. "I refuse!" He stood up and walked toward the door.
Sophie called out irritably, "Old Mr. Standford, get back here!"
