Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 716 - 719: Not good, the little maniac has escaped!
Touching Harry’s little belly, George Stanford pulled out a facial tissue and covered its private area.
George Stanford leaned against the chair back, glanced at Harry, and thinking of his own fate, couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh.
Around 8 p.m., the nurse still hadn’t seen Sophie Sullivan come out, so she knocked on the door.
"Maniac, I’m coming in."
The nurse pushed the door open, turned on the lamp, and looked at the empty room, stunned.
Where was she?
She rushed over, flipped the thin quilt, and searched the room but found no one.
The nurse, horrified, turned and ran out, shouting, "Help! The maniac is gone!"
Soon, doctors and nurses who heard the commotion hurried over.
Everyone searched but couldn’t find Sophie Sullivan. Finally, the message was relayed to the man in black.
Just as everyone was panicking, Minimus Hart appeared before them. She pointed at George Stanford and said, "You don’t need to search anymore. The maniac has already been sent away by him. At this length of time, the maniac should have gotten far away. Maybe she has already left Country A."
George Stanford looked at Minimus Hart without saying a word.
He had nothing to say.
Because what Minimus Hart said was entirely true, and he couldn’t refute it.
The man in black immediately took control of George Stanford and began interrogating him. Simultaneously, the man in black urgently reported the situation to Thomas Shannon.
Thomas Shannon, who was attending a meeting overseas, received the telephone call and raised his hand to signal for the meeting to pause.
"Take a 10-minute break."
With that, he stood up and left the conference room.
Thomas Shannon exited the conference room, his handsome face grim. He knew that if there wasn’t an emergency, his bodyguards wouldn’t normally call him directly.
They would report to Charlie River first, and then Charlie River would inform him.
Bypassing Charlie River to contact him directly meant something had likely gone wrong.
"Speak!" he said coldly as he answered the phone.
The anxious voice of the man in black came through, "Young Master, it’s terrible! The maniac has escaped!"
Escaped?
The man’s thin lips quirked into a cold smile. "What do you mean, escaped?"
"The maniac... she escaped... with the help of Dr. Standford."
"Are you all useless? You can’t even watch one person and you let her escape?!"
Thomas Shannon’s voice was low and cold, laced with boundless anger and murderous intent.
"Young Master, it was our negligence. Please punish us!"
The man in black made no excuses; they were at fault and willing to accept punishment.
"Send people to find her immediately!" Thomas Shannon roared, his eyes glinting with ferocity.
"Yes, Young Master!" the man in black replied, his voice trembling.
Thomas Shannon clenched his mobile phone, closing his eyes tightly for a moment. Sophie Sullivan, you’ve got some nerve!
I treat you so well, yet you show no gratitude.
Trying to escape time and time again.
Charlie River stood nearby, sensing the oppressive aura emanating from Thomas Shannon. From the snippets of conversation he’d overheard, he had already pieced together what had likely happened.
The maniac has escaped again.
To escape right after surgery... it was clearly premeditated.
"Charlie River."
"Young Master, I’m here!"
Thomas Shannon opened his eyes, his gaze cold and ruthless. "Look into Lucifer’s whereabouts."
"Yes, Young Master."
The only person she could possibly turn to for help was Lucifer; there was no one else.
He would make her understand. No matter where she fled, no matter under whose wing she hid, he had his ways to make her return obediently.
Thomas Shannon took out a cigarette, placed it between his lips, and lowered his head to light it.
The flame from the metal lighter reflected in the man’s icy eyes, glinting with a cruel, predatory light.
