Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 76: Her Character of Taking Revenge for Even the Smallest Grievance
Chapter 76: Chapter 76: Her Character of Taking Revenge for Even the Smallest Grievance
A sour smell?
Sophie Sullivan got up, walked over to him, and stretched out her arms to hug him, constantly rubbing her sour smell all over him.
"Maniac, are you seeking death?" The man’s blue veins bulged on his forehead, and his cold eyes exuded a chilling malevolence.
Sophie Sullivan, unafraid, curled her lips slightly. "Young Master, before I go upstairs to take a bath, I have a few words to say."
"Hold it in!"
"No, holding it in is too uncomfortable."
Sophie Sullivan said, "I refuse to accept this. I accepted it when you put me under house arrest, but what does it mean to then starve me for two days without food? If you want to kill or cut me to pieces, just make it quick. What kind of man are you, torturing me like this?"
"Say it again."
Starving for two days?
Sophie Sullivan sensed something was amiss from the subtle change in his expression.
She repeated her words.
Thomas Shannon pushed her head away with his index finger. His brows furrowed as he looked at the maid beside him, his voice low and cold, "What’s going on?"
The two maidens who had been singled out trembled all over. "Yo-Young Master, we thought putting the maniac under house arrest was the same for everyone."
Indeed, when servants and maids are put under house arrest for making mistakes, they are deprived of food and water. They are only allowed out of the solitary confinement room when their length of time is up.
This was the excuse the maids had concocted when they secretly withheld Sophie Sullivan’s food.
Sophie Sullivan laughed softly, her laughter hoarse and coarse. "You thought putting me under house arrest was the same as everyone else? I can enter the Young Master’s bedroom; can you? Are we the same?"
"The Young Master didn’t explicitly state otherwise, so..." The maid lowered her head even further.
"Presumptuous!"
Sophie Sullivan snatched the water cup from the tea table and hurled it to the ground.
CRASH.
Glass shattered into shards at the maids’ feet.
"Trying to shift the blame to the Young Master? You lot are really tired of living! The Young Master ordered me to be put under house arrest, but did he also say I wasn’t to be given food or water?"
Terrified by this harsh questioning, the maids’ legs gave out, and they collapsed to their knees.
Their knees landed on the glass shards, and the black skirts of their maid outfits were soon soaked with bright red blood.
"Young Master, we truly didn’t mean it! Please spare us!"
Sophie Sullivan released Thomas Shannon’s neck, rose, and walked over to the two maidens. "Answer my previous question: did the Young Master say that, apart from putting me under house arrest, I was to be denied food and water and starved to death?"
"No, he didn’t."
"Insolent wretch!" Sophie Sullivan kicked one of them.
The maid screamed and collapsed heavily onto the floor.
Sophie Sullivan raised her foot again, preparing to kick the other maid. Thomas Shannon closed his eyes and pressed his fingers to his brow. "Enough."
"It’s not enough!" Sophie Sullivan turned her head, her eyes blazing with the firelight of anger. "Inside the bedroom, I begged them for a little food, and they were outside mocking me! I can’t let this go!"
"What do you want?" Thomas Shannon suppressed his anger.
This wasn’t the first time he’d witnessed her vengeful nature. He was quite used to it.
If she wasn’t satisfied tonight, she would torment him all night with her passive-aggressive antics.
He might as well let her vent all her frustration at once.
"Young Master, are these the loyal servants you’ve so carefully trained? It seems to me these so-called loyal servants, after receiving high-standard training in their provisions and duties, have forgotten their place. They think they’re young Ladies from rich families. Now they dare to make decisions behind your back; later, they’ll dare to secretly cause trouble for the mistress."
"Get to the point."
Sophie Sullivan smiled faintly. "The point is, let me beat them up, and then make them pack their things and get out."
