Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 791 - 793: Fennie, who is she?
The shopping bags in the newcomer’s hands all fell to the ground.
A cacophony of CRASHES and SMASHES erupted.
Lillian Spencer stood rooted to the spot, one hand on her forehead, sighing in distress.
Sophie took a step back, and Fluffy Zane, quick-eyed, swiftly steadied her. "Are you alright?"
Sophie composed herself and shook her head. "I’m fine." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Miss, are you okay?"
Lillian Spencer’s guard approached, his expression concerned as he inquired.
Lillian Spencer waved her hand dismissively and looked at Sophie, her gaze gentle and tinged with apology. "I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention. You’re not hurt, are you?"
"I’m fine. I’m very sorry, I wasn’t paying attention either."
"That’s good." Lillian Spencer smiled, crouched down, and personally began to pick up the shopping bags.
"Miss, let us." The two guards also crouched down to help her collect the shopping bags.
From one of the shopping bags came the distinct CLATTER of shattered porcelain.
Sophie saw the sudden change in the guard’s facial color and knew in her heart that the contents of that bag must be something important.
She hesitated for a moment, then said, "I’m the one who bumped into you and broke your things. Let me compensate you."
"How could I let you do that? I’m also responsible. There’s no need."
Lillian Spencer had her guards open the shopping bag. After they unwrapped its many layers of packaging, she saw that the purple clay teapot and tea set inside were completely shattered.
Lillian Spencer clutched her forehead in annoyance. "This is a disaster..."
"I’ll compensate you."
As Sophie spoke, intending to ask the price, Lillian Spencer had already instructed her guards to pack up the broken tea set. She stood up and said, "This was a gift for my Grandpa. Since it’s shattered, I suppose it can’t be used. My Grandpa taught me from a young age to be thrifty and frugal. Since it can’t be used for making tea, it can still be kept as a collectible. A little repair will do; there’s no need for compensation."
Sophie didn’t like to be indebted to others, especially since this purple clay teapot looked far from cheap. "But that’s not right," she said. "After all, I bear some responsibility too."
Lillian Spencer looked at her, a mixture of amusement and exasperation on her face. "Since you insist on compensating me, Miss, why not do it my way?"
"What way?"
"Let’s find a place to repair this tea set. When it’s done, we’ll see how much it costs, and we can split the expense. What do you think?"
Sophie wasn’t in a rush. She glanced at Fluffy Zane beside her. "Should I have someone send you back first?"
"No need, I’ll go with you."
Sophie nodded and then looked at Lillian Spencer. "Please lead the way."
Lillian Spencer smiled and nodded, then set off with her guards. Sophie and her companions followed behind.
They left the shopping center and arrived at a porcelain repair shop.
This shop was tucked away in the bustling city center, its storefront remarkably unassuming.
Upon entering the shop, they found it filled with an exquisite array of various porcelain items, beautifully displayed.
"This way, Miss." The waiter escorted their group to the lounge area to sit down.
Lillian Spencer took out her tea set. The clerk called over the craftsman who specialized in porcelain repair. After a thorough examination, the craftsman nodded. "It can be repaired, but it will take some time."
"That’s fine," Lillian Spencer agreed without hesitation.
Fluffy Zane happened to notice that the two guards accompanying Lillian Spencer were carrying guns. She quietly leaned closer to Sophie’s ear and whispered, "Fennie, who is she?"
Sophie replied succinctly, "Rich or noble."
To have bodyguards when out and about usually meant one was either rich or noble. And for bodyguards to be carrying firearms, that likely indicated someone of significant power and status.
After the craftsman took the purple clay teapot away for repair, Lillian Spencer turned her head, a hint of puzzlement in her voice as she began to speak.
