Path to Immortality Begins With Marriage-Chapter 115: Luneth, I have a way
"The Vye Family...?"
Upon hearing Coril mentioned the Vye Family, Veronica couldn’t help but mutter to herself in a low voice while with her left brow raised as she seemed to have recalled about a certain matter, then looked downward to the floor and become lost in her own thoughts for a short moment.
After snapping out from her own thoughts, seemingly to have come to a decision during the short moment that she was lost in her own thoughts...
Veronica took out a communication jade from her spatial ring, then dialed onto the communication jade number that she was trying to get into contact with.
After a short while, as the light that was emitting out from the communication jade stopped blinking, and the light remained glowing instead of disappearing, it meant that the communication jade had successfully connected to the opposite communication jade.
"Hmm? What’s the matter, Veronica?"
A voice that obviously belonged to a woman rang out from the communication jade.
When the female voice rang out from the communication jade, Coril, who was boiling his tea, evidently realized who the woman that was at the opposite communication jade was, and immediately, he stopped boiling his tea and looked over to the communication jade, then listened in with full attention on the conversation that was going on between Veronica and the woman that was at the opposite communication jade.
And as Coril listened to their conversation, Coril further confirmed his thoughts, that he shouldn’t place too much hope onto Veronica ever being able to reconcile with the Lisandris Family’s side branches families, and that, from now on, he should do his best to make sure that he and the Lisandris Family’s main branch doesn’t get on Veronica’s bad side.
"Luneth, have you told the main sect about my intentions of joining the main sect along with my daughter?"
"Not yet. Why? Are you in that much of a rush to get your message across to the main sect? Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time, I will relay your message across to the main sect once you are done making those enchanted weapons that you promised to make for me."
"Great. I have a change of mind. I no longer intend to join the main sect along with my daughter."
"What...? If that’s the case, where are you going to go to after you have taken your revenge on the Vye Family, and also crippled those people from the Lisandris Family that you have an incredibly bad feud with?
Although I did make a deal with you, in which that I would not only help you relay your message across to the main sect, but also protect you and your daughter until you and your daughter have left the North Continent...
But if you aren’t intending on joining the main sect anymore, which means you are most likely intending on staying within the North Continent...
You know that I’m not going to protect you and your daughter forever from both the Vye Family and Lisandris Family, right?
Of course, if you are willing to become an elder and build a weapon enchantment department in Bright Moon Sect, I would be fine with going to great lengths to make both the Vye Family and the Lisandris Family swallow their grievances and make sure that they wouldn’t dare to take revenge on you, despite the fact that, morally speaking, you are the one who is in the wrong."
When Veronica addressed the woman as Luneth, everyone within the room immediately understood that the woman who was at the opposite communication jade was Bright Moon Sect’s sect master, Luneth Mooncrown.
And while listening to Veronica and Luneth’s conversation, when they heard from Luneth that Veronica had actually intended to not only take revenge on the Vye Family, but also cripple people from the Lisandris Family that she had a bad feud with...
A speechless look and a slight frown could be seen appearing on everyone’s face as they stared silently at Veronica.
However, when Veronica met with everyone’s gaze, Veronica didn’t flinch at all or showed any slight guilt on her face as she continued on speaking to Luneth while with a leisured look on her face.
"Regarding the deal that we made with each other, we are going to have to make some adjustments to the deal."
"Hmm...?"
"I no longer intend to go ahead with my plan of taking revenge on the Vye Family, and neither am I going to cripple those people from the Lisandris Family that I have a bad feud with.
Therefore, this also means that, not only would I no longer need you to help me get my message over to the main sect, but I also no longer need you to protect me from those two families."
"Is that so? I must say, I’m rather curious, what’s with the sudden change of plans?"
Faced with the question that Luneth asked, Veronica ignored it and instead answer her question with another question.
"How long do you think it will take for you to return back to the sect?"
"Hmm?" Upon hearing Veronica ignored her question, Luneth couldn’t help but let out a confused groan, then continued on speaking, "Why are you ignoring my question? Now I’m even more curious as to why you suddenly changed your plans.
As for when I will be returning back to the sect? Probably not until I have successfully obtained the unknown weapon that had landed in the east.
After all, you know just how much of a dire state the Bright Moon Sect is in right now without a high-tier weapon.
Thus, I reckon that I most likely will be staying in the east for quite a number of years."
"Luneth, you said you are curious as to why I suddenly had a change of plans, right?"
"Yeah, are you going to tell me now?"
"I won’t divulge too much to you right now, but I will tell you this, I currently have a way to help get Bright Moon Sect out of its dire state."
