Perfect Avatar-Chapter 324: Perfect Avatar: Final
Chapter 324: Perfect Avatar: Final
Life always finds a way, and even in the hardest predicament, a new light will be born.
One year had passed since the return of the heroes to their world.
Memories from that day still flooded the minds of everyone.
The darkest day of humanity passed, the world knew the most violent apocalypse in history.
The dead were counted by millions, the damages were uncountable.
Humanity was on the verge of genocide, with the rise of a Monster swearing to massacre everyone, but that day, many heroes stood against the monster and fought a legendary battle.
The tales speak about a dark planet rising in the sky, then the final battle in another dimension.
The heroes left, only with their courage, and after hours, they all returned, alive, victorious.
Some words spread about their return, it is said that they cried abundantly, they were unable to speak, and people decided that they were happy for saving the world.
It was the tales every ear had to listen to. During this battle, called Doomsday by the people, several major figures met their end.
The Queen of Ambrosia, Gloria, the Red Queen, the General of Fenrir, Rhea Silva, the Ghost of the world, the King of Giants, Shaka, the Devil of the Red Land, the Queen of Elves, Apophis Cleopatra, Anesidora, the Monster, and the heroine of humanity, Candace Elysium.
The world cried with joy at the announcement of the death of the 5 first but shared mourning for the loss of the Avatar who stood for humanity.
The Avatars were scarecrows, but she was an Angel, and she, who always claimed to be weak, fought the battle of Gods and lost her life for humanity.
The world cried her death for months, she had become a true goddess for those who couldn’t pray.
She had existed, and as time passed, her legacy kept increasing.
After one year, Candace Elysium was canonized as Saint Candace, the Saint who stood for humanity.
Her legacy kept traveling across the world, to everyone, she was the reason everything happened.
The scholars’ faction grew in popularity, while the parliament, without a leader, quickly lost power and was barely constituted by a few people doing meetings from time to time.
During the year, everyone stood as one and worked together to rebuild the world.
Ambrosia was completely destroyed after the events of the Twilight of Gods, but with the influence of the scholars and another heroine, many countries decided to help rebuild the kingdom.
This was the tale of another heroine, born with the blood of a Devil, the princess refused to follow the Devil in her massacre.
During Doomsday, she stood alone against her and killed her own mother, freeing the kingdom from eternal suffering.
It was the tale spread to the public, a painful story to hear for the concerned, but it was a wish she had to endure.
When they explained the whole situation to the knights, Freya revealed to Solaria Gloria’s last request.
After her death, she wanted the merits to go to Solaria, all in the hope of appeasing the hate she received and making her a heroine.
Solaria couldn’t believe this last heartache, but with Freya’s insistence, she accepted it.
In pain, she became the heroine who had murdered the evil Queen, and as a symbol, she became very popular among the people and the world.
Everyone wanted her to become the next Queen and lead Ambrosia.
She was deeply against it, she hated everyone, like her mother, she was disgusted by the citizens, but for Freya, it was this understanding that would make her a good leader, a leader who wouldn’t fall for any caste, with the maids in her shadow.
Following her promise to the Queen, she joined Solaria and became her arm, but also a voice to her ears.
She was the most respected noble, with so many feats during the Twilight of Gods that she quickly got voted as the voice of the nobles.
They wanted a strong figure, a formidable legend, but little did they know that the young woman hated them more than Solaria and decided to lead with an iron fist.
Mercy, on her part, renounced her title as a noble.
She decided to leave life as she wanted, without any preparation, without knowing where she would sleep, or eat.
She rejected every gift and offer she received, becoming a lone heroine, stronger than anyone, cold as ice.
She ignored the institutions in general, but only responded to one kind of call.
She participated in the Kingdom’s decisions, alongside Freya and Solaria, on her part, she represented the commoners.
With their guidance, Ambrosia knew quick growth, at first many things annoyed the factions, but as the kingdom grew stronger, the people followed their three leaders.
In other places, it was more quiet.
In the newest academy for young emissaries, Candace Academy, Iris prayed in front of a statue of the dean.
She used to do so in the evening, after everyone, so she would imagine that every prayer of the day would fuse with hers and reach everyone she prayed for.
She prayed usually for hours, for every single one of her comrades fallen.
After Doomsday, she became a teacher in the academy, teaching history.
She often got in trouble with the director because she used to emphasize the story about the Sin Avatars, but due to her status, she was untouchable.
Her main goal was to teach her students to help each other and work as one.
It was her dream, she kept in touch with some of the old council members, Sunnah being a nurse in the same academy.
In the countryside, other figures enjoyed a calm life.
Morgiana had become a shopkeeper in a port town, and Sana was back in her orphanage, this time as a tutor.
She never settled down with anyone and lived her life in constant panic, trying to redeem herself and not anger a certain ghost.
But the story also kept going on in other countries.
In Fenrir, Marie decided to join Giudecca and Lucca, to find her roots. Giudecca firmly opposed her arrival, but Lucca assured her that she kept jumping in her room in joy.
Lilith and Liliana decided to follow their friend and work together as before, Liliana leaving the Holy Knights for her dream, forcing Agharita to become the new leader.
Finally, on another continent, Hope and Cid returned to Kalaharis with an expedition.
With hundreds of emissaries and supplies, they began a big operation with the objective of rebuilding Kalaharis and making it a good land for living.
From time to time, Hope would tell stories about the people who guided his life, Thomas, Elizabeth, Nefertari, he always made sure to mention the elves in every discussion, so their legacy wouldn’t disappear.
This was the story of the rebuilding of the world, a world offering a second chance to its living.
With hope and dreams, they worked to build a perfect world for them, just like the seven Gods did.
They had become heroes, but they never felt anything about it.
For them, the world was a lie, a temporary illusion that they had to sharpen better.
Heroes will always be remembered, always, but legends never die.
Among the seven, only Candace’s name perdured, the others buried under fear and worry.
They were hated, but they were also so feared that no one would risk to anger their ghost.
They tried to ignore their existence, but their shadow would always weigh on everyone’s mind.
Sometimes, when the night came and the full moon would glow, the heroes would watch it patiently, remembering a certain time.
A light in the dark, the moon brought them the memory of a day.
In a castle, in a forest, in a manor, in a cemetery, the girl would took the picture they’ve taken that day and watch it under the full moon.
Tears would fill their eyes, as they would gaze at so many happy faces, buried under the cruelty of the world.
They would bring it closer to their chest, wishing that today would be the day.
Meanwhile in a cold balcony, the girl would take a phone from her pocket.
It was an old model barely used anymore, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Under the full moon, she would watch some pictures of herself, a little girl, a woman, and a boy.
She would laugh through her tears, as she noticed a simple detail.
"Why isn’t there any picture of you alone? You’re really a jerk..."
An ending.
