Phoenix Reborn In One Piece-Chapter 321 – Garp vs Ace!
The Marines were on their way.
Just moments ago, the entire 2nd Division had been sound asleep. Now, they were all up and getting ready to fight.
On the west coast of the island—
Ace was leading the whole 2nd Division, standing by.
As for whether the Marines would land here?
No doubt about it.
Ace knew his grandpa.
This time, the old man leading the Marines here must’ve already known Ace was in this area.
So he was sure the old man would show up at the valley!
After going through the Summit War, Ace had learned a thing or two about strategy. He didn’t just rely on brute strength anymore.
He knew he wasn’t strong enough to beat the old man yet.
That’s why he was planning to use his Flame-Flame Fruit power to trap as many Marines as possible.
This valley on the west coast—he had carefully picked it as the battlefield. The terrain worked perfectly with his abilities!
"Captain Ace!"
"They... they’re here!"
"The Marines are here!"
"We saw Garp standing at the front of the ship!"
A few pirates came running into the valley, half-stumbling as they shouted the report.
"They finally came!" Ace’s eyes lit up with excitement.
The other pirates were fired up too.
"Everyone!"
"Get ready and give it your all!"
"Don’t let your guard down—remember, we’re up against the Marine Hero Garp!"
"But!"
"Even if it’s Garp, we’re going to make them pay for stepping into Whitebeard’s territory!"
Deuce shouted to all the pirates.
"Yeah!!"
"Take down the Marines!"
...
At that moment, the whole Second Division was hyped up. They raised their weapons and shouted so loudly it echoed through the valley.
"Wahahaha!"
"Ace!"
"Get out here and let your grandpa give you a good beating! You went out to sea and became a pirate behind my back!"
"This time, I’m gonna spank you till your butt’s blooming!"
On the west coast, the Dog Head warship had just docked, and Garp was already yelling into a megaphone from the deck toward the valley.
After yelling, he turned to the Marines on the ship and said seriously:
"Hey!"
"They’re just a bunch of pirates who are almost out of strength."
"I’ll handle this myself. There’s no need for all of us Marines to get involved in taking down a group of worn-out pirates!"
The Marines on the ship were a little speechless, but still quickly replied:
"Uh... (⊙o⊙)..."
"Yes, Vice Admiral Garp!"
In the valley.
When Ace heard Garp’s voice, he got really mad.
He remembered the darkest days of his childhood, getting his butt kicked by the old man. Gritting his teeth, he glared toward the shore and shouted:
"Stupid old man! I’ve grown up! I’ve got my own dream now! You’re the one who came into Whitebeard’s territory—don’t expect me to go easy on you!"
"If the great Marine Hero loses today, don’t blame me for not holding back!"
Ace’s voice echoed through the valley, filled with strong resolve and his desire for freedom.
Hearing Ace’s words, Garp showed a strange smile on his face—a mix of many complicated emotions.
But as a Marine hero, he couldn’t turn his back on duty or responsibility.
He had to protect justice and defend peace. Even if the person standing in front of him was his own grandson, he had to stick to what he believed in.
"Wahahahaha..." Garp laughed loudly, his voice full of confidence and authority. "You brat, don’t get too cocky! I’ll show you what real power looks like today!"
As he spoke, he pushed off the deck with powerful legs. In an instant, his strong body shot into the air like a spring, leaping straight toward Ace in the valley!
In the valley.
All the pirates’ eyes turned to Garp, who was now in midair.
When they saw his huge, terrifying figure, everyone’s face turned pale, their eyes filled with fear.
They could feel a crushing pressure coming off him, like a mountain pressing down on their chests, making it hard to even breathe.
"Everyone!"
"Spread out! Don’t stay together!"
At that moment, Deuce, who was barely keeping his cool, shouted loudly. He knew that facing an enemy this strong, their only chance to survive was to scatter as quickly as possible.
If they stayed bunched up, they’d just be easy targets!
"Damn old man!"
"Guys, run up the mountain! Split up, now!" Ace shouted in frustration, trying to give clear orders.
"Help!"
"Run!"
"He’s a monster from the Marines!"
"He’s way too strong!"
...
In just a few seconds, all the pirates snapped out of it and started to flee in all directions, running like crazy toward the sides of the valley.
They ran with everything they had, trying to get away from this terrifying place. Fear gripped them, and their survival instinct pushed them to their limits.
"Wahahaha!"
"Trying to run now? It’s too late!"
As he said this, his fist started glowing with golden light, shining like it was on fire.
The next moment, he swung his fist hard—an intense shockwave burst out from it, exploding in all directions with unstoppable force.
"Fist Bone Impact!"
Garp roared, and the sound shook the air like thunder.
In an instant, a massive shockwave blasted across the valley, as if it was going to rip the world apart.
The power behind it was overwhelming—no one could stand against it.
"Damn it!"
Ace clenched his teeth.
He took a deep breath, quickly gathering all of his strength.
Then, he raised his hands and shouted, "Great Flame Ring: Flame Emperor!!!"
In that moment, Ace formed a huge, blazing fireball as bright and hot as the sun, and hurled it into the sky.
The fireball gave off scorching heat, like it could melt anything in its path.
*BOOM!!!*
The huge fireball collided head-on with Garp’s Fist Bone Impact!
For a moment, the sky changed colors and the wind howled wildly.
The clash between the two powerful attacks caused a massive shockwave. The mountains nearby crumbled from the force, kicking up clouds of dust everywhere.
And yet—
Ace’s attack looked powerful at first, but it only lasted a few seconds before being completely blown apart by Garp’s shockwave.
Ace himself was sent flying by the blast.
The other pirates had it even worse.
The powerful force launched them through the air—some were flung dozens or even hundreds of meters, others crashed into the mountainsides, blood spraying everywhere.
That one strike threw the pirates into chaos. Many were injured and collapsed on the ground, no longer able to run.
Under Garp’s single attack, the entire valley looked like it had been hit by a massive bomb—wreckage and bodies were scattered all over.
A huge crater had opened in the ground, filled with dust and fire.
The mountain walls on both sides of the valley were badly damaged—some places had cracks, and others had completely caved in.
