After giving them a few more basic instructions and also a rough map of the sect, Han Yuexin left them. Apparently, she didn’t want to repeat the instructions, so she would do it once everyone gathered.

"So, what should we do?" Ye Jun asked, looking down at the plain jade stone.

"Am going to rest," Mountain said. "Also need to eat. Am hungry. Want some?"

"Not now, but I’ll visit you someday," Ye Jun said.

Mountain patted his shoulder and walked away, ascending the mountain to find his abode.

"What about you two?" Ye Jun asked. "What will you two do here?"

"I’m going into seclusion," Song Liangxue replied. "Now that I know you have a solution for my innate Physique, I cannot wait to consummate our marriage. So I need to be ready for that."

Raising her hand, she said, "The time here won’t be enough, but I’ll make good progress. Of course, you two can always visit me. I’ll give you access to my abode. It usually works like that."

She took their Jade Stones and infused them with her Qi. Whatever she did with them, Ye Jun didn’t understand but he trusted her.

As she gave them back, she said, "Here. I also added myself to your abodes. We can enter and exit them at our will."

"Mine also?" Meihui asked, hesitant.

Song Liangxue stared at her and shook her head. ’She is too deep in this and she doesn’t even realize it. Just the thought of disappointing and hurting him pained her. Is this what they call love?’

"I was just joking," Ye Jun’s expression changed just as quickly. "I just wanted to make sure we contact each other if something happens. Nothing else."

Meihui hummed.

"What about you?" Song Liangxue asked. "What will you do?"

"I will focus on healing my wounds," Meihui responded. "The poison was too deadly, so I want it completely gone. I can also focus on it here better, but I’m still worried about his safety."

"You can’t do that your whole life anyway," Ye Jun said. "So just trust me and focus on healing. Your health is most important."

Meihui nodded slowly.

"Good. Then we’ll meet tomorrow, see what Elder Han has to say, and have a meal together," Song Liangxue said. "Then we can focus on our tasks. We won’t be able to meet for a while, but that’s fine. It’s the way of cultivation, after all."

Meihui stared at them, complicated emotions rising in her heart. She hated the sight and felt annoyed at them for doing it openly. But she couldn’t understand why she felt that way.

’They are engaged and are soon to be married. They have the right to do these activities with each other, so why am I so bothered by it?’

But then she remembered what he was doing a couple of moments ago and instantly the annoyance returned. She snorted and pushed him away. "You’re annoying."

With that, she left them and climbed the mountain to find her abode.

Looking at her silhouette, Ye Jun couldn’t help but laugh. "She’s so cute."

"Agreed," Song Liangxue said before embracing him in a tight hug. "Good luck. I know it won’t be easy for you here, but endure it. Achieve victory over it. That’s how legends are born."

"I’m in no mood to become some legend, but I’ll do it. Just for the fun of it," Ye Jun said, rubbing her back. Then he whispered softly, "And please, work hard on your cultivation too. I can’t wait for it."

She giggled softly and backed away. "I’ll see you tomorrow."

With that, she also went to find her cave abode, leaving Ye Jun all alone. This was how he was going to be for the rest of his time in the White Gale Pavilion.

After passing two stone bridges that connected the same mountain around, he found a big boulder covering a cave’s mouth. He went toward it and easily set it aside.

Curious, he didn’t immediately enter the cave. Instead, he set the boulder back in its place and tried shifting it without the Jade Stone in his possession.

As he expected, the stone didn’t even move.

’Good. It protects the owner of the abode.’

After closing the opening with the boulder, he entered the cave and grinned.

"Time to grind cultivation."
