Pirate Kingship-Chapter 864 - 514: Death God Convergence, Inescapable Fate (3)
Now that we’ve distinguished between the primary and secondary enemies, the next step is to seize the right opportunity to end this, sweeping these guys into the dustbin of history with the least cost.
As for the Old God, Great Red Dragon Abaddon...
Byron was particularly concerned about this Old God who once ruled the Strait Islands.
Legend has it that it is both a seven-headed, ten-horned Giant Dragon and a Devil.
In the godly war of the Twilight of the Gods, intending to devour the child born of the woman clothed with the Sun, namely the Trinity’s Saint Heir, it was cast down to the ground during the battle.
Then, it was captured by an Angel sent by the Creator, bound with a great chain, and thrown into the Abyss at the Edge of the World to be confined for fifteen hundred years, and now it’s 1473, not much time left.
This Old God possesses powerful Authorities like the "Land of Destruction", the "Domain of the Dead", and "Pestilence", being both the Abyssal Messenger, the Abyss Lord, and the King of Harmful Insects.
It happens that Byron himself wields the Underworld Authority and the Father of Healing’s Authority, overlapping so much with the Authorities held by this Old God.
Even if he relinquished the territory of Hightins and fled, the other party most likely wouldn’t let him go.
"Once again, it’s the aggregation effect at play."
Byron once only suspected that extraordinary things of similar paths seemed to have an aggregation effect beyond understanding.
However, since learning that [Creator] is an existence nearly achieving 100% [Unity of All Things] realm, he’s confirmed this aggregation effect truly exists.
As long as existing within the Material World, humans, beasts, demon monsters, plants, minerals, etc., are considered part of the [Creator].
Even though the Creator itself is now malfunctioning, continuously splitting, the instinct to aggregate remains, merely overshadowed by the faster splitting speed.
Mythical creatures, bizarre entities, and miracles of similar paths often encounter each other naturally and reasonably.
It makes sense that the Iron Anchor Bay once ruled by the Mad Hunt Deity and Hightins once governed by [Great Red Dragon Abaddon] would inevitably clash with this Old God’s kin.
Byron doesn’t bother asking the Devil for more details on the Corridor of Truth on the Eastern Continent, just as he doesn’t inquire into details from his mother and cousin, planning to learn more after advancing to the Fifth Order.
By then, he should qualify for a preliminary exploration of the Corridor of Truth.
The logic is clear: if one accidentally steps into a rule myth.
For mortals: "To survive, remember these rules by heart."
For a certain monkey: "Forward this rule to the workgroup, adding: Suggest a stern crackdown by relevant departments." Without even lifting a cudgel, the foe is already pulverized.
Then, several individuals gather to formulate the battle plan for The Stolen Country.
After another half-hour, they finally had a rough idea.
Byron hefted the bottle in his hand:
"Genie of the Bottle, my nineteenth wish is..."
[Genie of the Bottle] hurriedly pleaded: 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Hey, hey, enough, please don’t toy with me anymore.
Honorable owner, I am well aware of my current status, it’s absolutely impossible for me to pass on information, nor will I betray again.
You know, I only have enough Fifth Element for a few hundred individuals a year, it’s not worth risking my neck for a cult.
I assure you of my cooperation in executing your plan."
Only then did Byron contentedly put away the ten-page-long indenture, sealing all loopholes.
Especially added was an additional clause:
"If I call you with this bottle and you do not comply, no matter the distance, the Spiritual Body will be sucked into the bottle, and one hour and forty-five minutes later, will automatically disintegrate into a puddle of ’Fifth Element.’"
It was elegantly termed: how could the [Genie in the Bottle] manage without a compatible bottle?
But the Genie of the Bottle clearly found no humor in this.
After strategizing, Byron decided to complete today’s primary mission first.
"The final question for today, why are you confident that you can still locate Old Woodville after he activates the ’Tear of Rubot’?"
[Genie of the Bottle] heard this and finally puffed out his chest again, full of confidence:
"Because I was the one who ambushed and let him escape last time...
Master, please come with me, I know where he is."
...
In another direction within the Gaelt Highlands’ vast forests, already very close to the Northern Border Wall.
A squad of elite scouts loyal to the Royalist Party was still cautiously exploring every inch, led by three leaders.
One youth among them holding a beech wood pipe, was a Third Order [Sheriff] in the Tribunal’s sequence.
Another, a bit younger and handsomely-faced with a monocle over his left eye, was a Second Order [Crow Doctor] in the hospital sequence.
If Byron were here, he’d instantly recognize them as the [Nemesis of Sin] Sherlock and his partner John Watson with whom he had previously interacted.
Especially [Nemesis of Sin] Sherlock, who left an extremely deep impression on him.
"The positive effect of the title: Justice has arrived! Each time, you can reach the crime scene at the first moment and grasp firsthand intelligence.
Negative effect: Death Has Come! In the eyes of others, a murder seems to happen wherever you tread, a veritable Death God!"
The owner of this title easily restrains sin yet is also easily killed by it.
With a series of growing coincidences lately, they gained a fearsome reputation within Hightins’ judicial system as well.
Absolutely no ball, salon, or officer’s club would actively invite them to attend unless wanting a shorter lifespan.
