Player Awakening: I Become A Lord In Game-Like World-Chapter 41: Caleb and CL_Ellise
[Town Hall upgrade approved]
[Level 4 -> level 5]
[Duration of renovation: ]
[00:47:59:59]
Sovereign_Night Town Hall was eligible for a town hall level upgrade, with the current amount of resources sufficient to do so.
Caleb was rather surprised, the town hall level upgrade from level 3 to level 4 took up to a day, while the town hall level upgrade from level 4 to level 5 took two days.
The man was sure, the higher the town hall level he would reach, the longer the duration of the town hall renovation would be.
[RESOURCE INFO]
[Wood: 1027] [-1500]
[Food: 515] [-1500]
[Gold: 322] [-1000]
[Stone: 1351] [-1000]
[Villager: 137/155] [-8]
[Idle Villagers: 44]
It can be seen that a significant reduction in resources happened, only wood and stone still hold the number of resources >1000. For food and gold, both were <1000.
’After being at level 4 of the town hall, I realized that the need for resources is getting higher. I have to take care of these resources so that I don’t experience shortages and difficulties later,’ Caleb explained.
Caleb looked at the clock on the player dashboard, it was almost 12 noon. Caleb squinted, knowing exactly what he had to do.
Commander William stepped closer. He came with 10 units of Heavy Scouts that had recovered. Caleb could see it, especially when their HP bars went full green.
"We’re ready, sir," William explained.
Caleb nodded. He joined William’s commanding unit, just as he had done earlier when Caleb met Jennie.
Caleb’s mount reappeared, Caleb sat on it and began riding south. Again, he entrusted the safety of the city to Commander Leonidas.
The location of the coordinate point was not that far from the location of Caleb’s town hall. Yet, it was located between the two cities, _Apo_King and Sovereign_Night.
The place was considered suitable by the two to meet, considering that they were players with the strongest kingdom power status —the strength of the two was too far away.
The location of the coordinate point was on a river, which separated the two places, north and south. Caleb stopped riding, followed by William and 10 Heavy Scout units.
Caleb dismounted from his horse. He stepped forward and crouched right in front of the river, clear water with a depth of 50cm.
At a glance, Caleb could see the fish living quietly in the river, undisturbed by humans.
"If there was no war, this place could be a paradise for anyone," Caleb said.
Waves were created on the river’s surface, making the fish swim away, taking cover behind the rocks.
Caleb cast his eyes forward, seeing a group of troops with a player riding atop his mount.
The man got up, walking backwards some distance from the river. William rode over, asking about the identity of the player he was looking at.
"CL_Ellise," Caleb replied.
The man in the southern region was seen dismounting from his mount. He stepped forward until he was fully near the stream, and Caleb did the same.
"So, you’re Caleb?" asked the man, dressed in a black suit like a famous businessman, his hair slicked back.
From his facial appearance and suit, Caleb could guess that the man was over 25 years old. That means, the man was older than him.
"I never thought that I could meet the best player in this game. What player doesn’t know CL_Ellise, everyone knows about you," Caleb replied.
’Let’s see how you respond to your lie,’ Caleb said.
"Thank you, if Liliana had acted like you, maybe I wouldn’t have targeted her," the man replied.
’See? You’re actually admitting that you’re CL_Ellise, when I’m the username holder!’ Caleb complained.
Caleb looked behind the man’s back, seeing that he was bringing a unit of scout troops, not heavy scouts.
Even though there were many of them, they wouldn’t attack Caleb, let alone be blocked by the river.
’Very clever, CL_Ellise. You deliberately met at this coordinate point with the excuse that you and I won’t fight each other. If we were to go to war, we would have to take a long detour route,’ Caleb explained.
"I’m Leon, I’m the CEO of Starship Corp, a company specializing in Technology and Networks," Leon said.
"How did someone like you get stuck here?" asked Caleb.
"I don’t know. The last thing I remember is the moment when I was involved in a road accident. After that, I don’t remember anything else," Leon replied.
"But back then, three years ago, I was always playing this game. That’s when I saw CL_Ellise’s figure and saw how he played strategizing. I really idolized him," Leon adds.
’That was the second tournament I won,’ Caleb explained.
Leon said that he realized that Lord of Empires was no longer a game, but a trial of survival. He had to try his best to do everything he could to survive.
Caleb listened, sounding manipulative to him, but since Leon was a CEO figure, then he was much more dangerous than what Caleb imagined.
"Then, why do you want to target Liliana? You know that woman is under my protection," Caleb replied.
"Because she teases me and plans to deceive me. I hate her so much. I want to kill her," Leon said firmly, his face showing no hint of deceit.
"I brought you here for one reason. Let me join your alliance, I want to defeat that woman," Leon said.
"If you are willing to help me, then after we get out of this game, I will give you one of my majority shares," Leon said.
’It’s easy for you to say that you can get out of this game,’ Caleb explained.
"Get out of this game, huh? Do you think it’s that easy?" asked Caleb.
"What do you mean?" asked Leon, confused.
"The person or group that created this kind of game reality must have a bigger purpose than just winning battles and being the best on the continent."
"You mean it’s not just us who are stuck here, but there are many people out there and we have to defeat them all?!" asked Leon, shocked.
"This is insane!" complained Leon.
Caleb grinned and chuckled, looking back at Leon, "It seems that a new insanity is about to arrive and if you’re not prepared, you may die."
