Chapter 474: Chapter 474: Serena Sterling in a Wedding Dress, Stunningly Beautiful

The Lawson Corporation was business as usual, with no differences from any other day.

The streets were filled with festive colors and music, and the Ford Group was similarly adorned with decorations. However, among the three corporate giants, only the Lawson Corporation remained unchanged.

It was said that Julian Lawson personally issued the order.

No decorations were allowed.

No discussions about Serena and Silas Hawthorne’s wedding were permitted.

It was evident that Julian Lawson was very unhappy.

Online onlookers didn’t care about Julian Lawson’s mood.

In fact, the less happy Julian Lawson appeared, the more entertained they were.

Someone even dug out details of the previous wedding between Serena and Julian Lawson, ready to compare them once Serena and Silas Hawthorne’s wedding took place.

The atmosphere at the Lawson Corporation was somber and oppressive, while the Hawthorne Group was entirely different.

The Hawthorne Group appeared to be celebrating the New Year!

Besides the essential staff on standby, all other employees were given a three-day paid holiday!

Those on standby received triple pay.

Aeon was no different.

The two companies were already nearby, and now they frequently interacted.

By that afternoon, employees from both companies received candies and red envelopes from their CEOs.

They were also informed that there would be cake and a banquet at both companies the next day, and anyone could join in the celebration if they wished.

Everyone cheered.

"I wish the boss would get married a few more times, haha!"

Raine was giggling gleefully but immediately gave the speaker a sharp look when she heard the foolish comment: "Say ptooey ptooey ptooey!"

The employee realized their faux pas and quickly complied with a "ptooey, ptooey, ptooey."

Even related companies enjoyed benefits.

Such as Ford Entertainment.

Jasper Ford distributed red envelopes to employees, encouraging them to leave well-wishing messages on the online blessing board for Serena and Silas Hawthorne.

The celebrities under the company also planned to post well-wishes promptly the next day.

Aether had two of its shareholders getting married, so the company also gave out red envelopes to the staff.

The Lynch siblings stayed by Serena’s side, assisting with various tasks.

They were considered Serena’s family.

Bianca Lynch was Serena’s best friend, and there was no doubt about that.

Serena’s father had passed away early, so during the ceremony, Sheila Jenkins and Ethan Lynch would walk Serena toward Silas Hawthorne.

They would act as her mother and brother.

In the afternoon, everyone gathered for a rehearsal.

Serena’s wedding dress was exceptionally magnificent, an off-shoulder gown styled like the ocean, adorned with countless sparkling jewels that wound around her body, forming an eternal Möbius strip. At her chest, a blue diamond was set enthrallingly, while a massive train spread out like waves, swaying elegantly.

Standing there, she resembled a siren emerging from the sea.

Sacred and beautiful.

"Serena, are you ready?" Bianca Lynch called from outside the door.

Serena looked at her reflection, feeling somewhat unrecognizable.

"Serena?" Bianca’s voice came again.

"Ready." Serena spoke, shifting her gaze and turning around.

However, due to the size of the train, she found it a bit challenging to move.

Bianca Lynch entered, just in time to see Serena turning.

"Wow!"

Bianca Lynch covered her mouth in amazement.

"Serena, you look stunning!" Bianca almost squealed, her eyes moistening.

She had attended Serena’s previous wedding as her best friend, but it wasn’t nearly as touching as this time.

Everyone had known back then that the hastily arranged wedding was for good fortune.

Bianca Lynch circled around several times.

"How did they design this? It’s amazing!" Bianca exclaimed in awe, "Serena, you look even more beautiful in this!"

Serena grabbed Bianca, who was still spinning around.

"Silas had Lady Maysa design it." Serena said, "You should have Justin Jennings get one too, I’ll ask Silas to give him the contact information."

Silas was their private nickname for him, but Serena typically still called him Silas.

The last time she called him this in front of others, it had given everyone goosebumps.

"It makes my brother sound suddenly much younger...Not like a domineering CEO at all." Orion Hawthorne murmured back then.

Then he received a playful smack from June Hawthorne.

"Our brother never was a domineering CEO, he’s a refined rogue." June Hawthorne remarked.

"I actually prefer the domineering CEO archetype." Orion Hawthorne grumbled, "A domineering CEO falls in love with the janitor version of me, I enjoy that story."

He was almost smacked again.

Remembering it made Serena smile once more.

Bianca Lynch chose not to think too much, focusing on organizing Serena’s wedding first.

"It’s a pity that once you’re married, you can’t be my bridesmaid." Bianca lamented.

Serena hugged Bianca, conveying everything without words.

"Alright, let’s go out together, everyone’s waiting." Serena said.

"Okay." Bianca wiped her eyes and supported Serena, stepping out together.

"We’re here, look!" Bianca announced as everyone in the hall turned around.

Everyone’s eyes lit up.

"Wow!"

"Serena, you’re gorgeously stunning!"

"So beautiful!"

...

Serena lifted her train as she took steps towards Silas Hawthorne.

Silas walked towards her as well, holding her arm.

Serena looked up at him and saw the bright affection in his eyes.

Everyone gathered around, observing them from head to toe.

"She’s not even wearing makeup yet, with makeup tomorrow, Serena will be over-the-top beautiful!" June Hawthorne marveled.

"It’s not that exaggerated." Serena nudged June Hawthorne playfully.

"It is." Silas said with a smile.

Everyone laughed.

It made Serena feel a little shy.

"Weren’t we here for a rehearsal?" Serena deliberately changed the subject.

Everyone remembered what they were supposed to do and started following the proceedings.

A host directed each step, explaining what needed to be done.

Serena turned back and saw Sheila Jenkins.

Sheila was holding her hand, walking towards Silas Hawthorne.

"I recently had a chance encounter with Joanne Zink." Serena mentioned to Sheila Jenkins, "Zink’s daughter."

Sheila Jenkins paused for a moment.

"She told me I resemble her in your younger days." Serena continued.

Sheila Jenkins lifted her head, giving Serena a complex glance.

She opened her mouth, but in the end, she didn’t say anything.

Serena slightly lowered her eyes; she knew they both thought of the same person at that moment.

Serena’s father, Sheila Jenkins’s late husband, Evan Sheridan.

As they maintained their silence, Clara Huxley’s voice broke through.

"Very good, just like that!" Clara, in a gown, was directing everyone.

Clara seemed quite cheerful, occasionally tugging at her son and daughter.

Serena and Sheila were drawn out of their memories.

Ethan Lynch arrived, and the three approached Silas Hawthorne.

Then they went to the side, where there were two photos.

One of Evan Sheridan, the other of Silas Hawthorne’s father.

Clara Huxley stood by her late husband’s photo, her eyes carrying a slight glimmer of tears.
