Pokémon: Above the Top-Chapter 267: The Hidden Boss, Ralts
Chapter 267 - 267: The Hidden Boss, Ralts
Ralts's cry seemed to awaken the rationality of the other Pokémon. A large number of Water-type Pokémon rushed out and unleashed various water moves directly into the sky.
A torrential downpour immediately descended within the underground space, drenching Slaking.
Next, the few Psychic-type Pokémon that were present all came out and used Confusion on Slaking.
Having guessed what the Pokémon were trying to do, Steven didn't hesitate and commanded Metagross to join in and assist in restraining Slaking alongside the other Psychic-types.
With Metagross joining, the effectiveness of the restraint became immediately evident. Where Slaking had been rampaging wildly just moments ago, now its movements were significantly less agile.
At this point, Sato and the others joined in as well. Zoroark's Extrasensory and Kirlia's Confusion were used together.
It didn't stop there. A flock of Flying-type Pokémon carried Grass-type Pokémon into the air.
Orange clouds of Stun Spore rained down like there was no cost.
Thankfully, Metagross dodged quickly, otherwise, it would have been the first to fall from paralysis.
First drenched in rain, then bound by Psychic powers, and now overwhelmed with Stun Spore... Slaking was practically immobilized.
However, neither Sato's group nor the wild Pokémon dared to relax... Because Slaking's eyes were still blood-red, as if about to drip blood.

At that moment, an Altaria flew forward carrying Ralts in front of Slaking.
Once Ralts slid off its back, Altaria immediately took off again, afraid that lingering even one more second would get it smashed by Slaking.
"Ralts, it's too dangerous! Come back here!" Joseph called out in concern. Compared to Slaking, Ralts looked like it wouldn't even be enough to fill the gaps in its teeth.
Ralts heard Joseph's voice and turned around. From the distance, they could vaguely see the corners of Ralts's mouth lifting in a slight smile.
Then, to everyone's shock, Ralts began to glow brilliantly.
Evolution!
As the blue light faded, Ralts was gone, replaced by an elegant, princess-like Kirlia... And before they could react, Kirlia's body once again began glowing blue.
Double evolution!
In just a few seconds, Ralts had transformed into the majestic Psychic queen: Gardevoir!
"Steven, can you feel Gardevoir's presence?" Sato suddenly asked.
"Yeah... Elite Four level! Unbelievable..."
A wild Elite Four-level Pokémon appeared before their eyes, achieving it through back-to-back evolutions.
They... were completely stunned.
At this moment, Gardevoir floated up into the air, rising to a level where it could look Slaking directly in the eyes.
She placed one hand on her chest and extended the other, gently touching Slaking's forehead.
A soft white glow pulsed between the two Pokémon. Slaking, who had been tense from head to toe, relaxed its limbs and plopped limply to the ground.
Gradually, the blood-red color faded from Slaking's eyes, and its rage began to subside.
"Sla... king?"
Slaking finally came to its senses, scratching its head sheepishly. Completely different from the monster it had just been.
Seeing that Slaking had calmed down, Sato, his companions, and the Pokémon all quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
Without the Truant ability limiting it, Slaking in a rage was absolutely terrifying. Even without using any moves, just the brute force of its fists had left Metagross struggling to withstand.
"Gardevoir Gardevoir"
At that moment, Gardevoir began scolding Slaking with her hands on her hips. In front of Gardevoir, Slaking was like a child who had done something wrong... head lowered, completely silent.
"Gardevoir?"
"Sla? Sla! Sla! Sla..."
No one knew what Gardevoir said, but Slaking suddenly jumped up and began shaking its head furiously.
Yet, faced with Gardevoir's stern and silent expression, Slaking eventually gave a reluctant nod.
Soon, Gardevoir led the sluggish Slaking over to the group of wild Pokémon.
It was obvious that many of the younger Pokémon were still fearful of Slaking after its recent outburst, instinctively stepping back a few steps.
Knowing there was no escaping it, Slaking boldly began saying something loudly, then suddenly bowed? its head.
It looked like... an apology?
Unfortunately, some of the Pokémon had already been scared witless. The moment Slaking lowered its head, their first reaction was to flee.
At this point, Sato and the others had become nothing more than spectators, but Slaking and Gardevoir's actions were quite fascinating to watch.
Gardevoir, seemingly helpless at the scene, stepped forward and said a few words to the more timid Pokémon, then led Slaking over to Sato's group.
Seeing the two Pokémon slowly approaching, even Steven couldn't help but tense up.
After all, Gardevoir was truly an Elite Four Pokémon. And just how strong such a Pokémon could be... Sato didn't really know.
"It's been a long time since we've seen humans."
"Hmm? Who said that?" Mark jolted, covering his ears and looking around wildly. A girl's voice had suddenly appeared in his mind.
"It's me, what you humans call Gardevoir."
"WHA-!" Mark shouted and jumped up, only to be pulled back down and silenced by Joseph.
"It's Telepathy," Sato explained quietly to Mark, then turned his gaze back to Gardevoir.
The Gardevoir before them was the true boss of this place; one of the exceedingly rare Pokémon capable of using Telepathy.
And Telepathy allowed direct communication between minds, completely eliminating the language barrier between humans and Pokémon.
It was a special ability that not even many Legendary Pokémon could learn.
"Hello, Gardevoir?" Mark greeted awkwardly once he understood, but sometimes it took someone like him to break the ice.
"Hello there. Though I don't know why you've come here, I hope that once you leave, you won't reveal this place to the outside world. Is that okay?"
Gardevoir had a fondness for Mark's silly demeanor, and even smiled as she spoke.
However, what she said caused everyone's heart to sink.
Sato and the others all turned to look at Steven... only he could make this decision.
"What will we receive in return?"
Surprisingly, even facing an Elite Four Gardevoir, Stone remained perfectly calm as he brought up conditions.
"You're bargaining with me... aren't you afraid I'll just keep you here forever?" Gardevoir blinked, her tone unreadable.
However, the Slaking behind her clearly wasn't happy, it snorted loudly through its nostrils in frustration.
"If we lose contact, others will inevitably come looking for us. There's no need to threaten us, we both know this perfectly well," Stone replied calmly as ever.
"Sigh... Dealing with you humans is always so troublesome..." Gardevoir sighed.
