99 Pour Out Her Grievances

As soon as she told her mother everything, Rong Yue had Lu San drive her to the airport.

“Stay here with my mother, I wouldn’t want her being too worried or anything happening to her.” She instructed as she took the small bag she had packed from him.

This was an important trip for her because based on her instincts, this was the determining point of Xu Ning’s life. If she left her alone now, there was no saying what was going to happen to her.

Besides, if she doesn’t alter her fate, she would once again be wrapped around the finger of those evil bastards that would exploit all of her strengths without letting her her gain anything.

It was also uncertain how far they would go for their purpose.

“But,” Lu San started, wanting to argue, after all, he had been given the task to follow her around to make sure that she was well protected.

“No buts, Lu San, stay here in A city, I would be back soon,” she assured, her gaze was firm and decisive making Lu San have no choice than to back down.

“Young Miss, I’ll let Master know that you are on your way to the capital,” Lu San said with a sigh and then he eventually turned around to go back to the car.

This was her own fight and she had no interest in putting Lu San into such waters.

.....

Initially, she had thought that she had some more time, that she would wait till she was fully in the university before she started to deal with them.

But now, it was clear that there was no waiting! She had to save Xu Ning and that was all that was important.

Her mind was a mess and as much as it looked like she knew what she wanted to do in the capital, the Rong Yue boarding the plane had a very blank mind on what plan to use.

All through the trip, Rong Yue’s mind worked quickly on what she was supposed to do, sometimes, she went online to check the news on Xu Ning and some other times she made the system to get all she could on the group of companies that Xu Ning managed.

Eventually, she was able to lock down on where Xu Ning was hiding. Towards this person that she had once held complicated feelings towards, Rong Yue knew very well that it was not going to be easy to make Xu Ning fight against them.

She was the soft type and one that would rather suffer in silence than let anything happen to the people around her.

Upon thinking to that point, Rong Yue’s brows furrowed as she felt like she had come up with some important point.

There had to have been something that they held over Xu Ning that would have made it easy for them to make her compliant.

Very quickly, she had the little system start a search on the people that were related to Xu Ning. Perhaps it was because it had already had most of her information in its data base, it didn’t take long for the system to provide everything that Rong Yue needed.

Although she was an orphan, Xu Ning had her uncle who had raised her with his own kids. It was very likely that they were the ones being used against her.

“Little Loli, confirm that the uncle and his children are all safe. If they aren’t, pin down all their locations and send to my phone.” She instructed, her voice barely above a whisper.

On a normal day, Rong Yue would try to do most of the work and allowed the system to collate all the data she gathered, after all, she was someone that loved to depend on only herself.

But on a day like this, she knew that she had to compromise and make sure that no stone was left untouched.

Not only that, she also couldn’t operate her computer from the airport, after all, this was not the peak of technology she was used to. After getting matters done, Rong Yue studied all the data that was on the transparent screen carefully before she nodded her head.

While it seemed like her family members were safe, they also seemed like they were not safe. Which made the matter tricky. As she checked the whereabouts of the uncle, Rong Yue’s face morphed into a frown.

It was hard to not find this uncle suspicious, she noted everything down before resting her head and closing her eyes for the remaining hour of the trip.

As soon as she got out from the luggage room, the first thing she saw was a huge placard showing her name. With the placard raised over the person’s face, it was hard to see who it was, yet, with that height and that familiar physique that she had gotten used to since she got back here, there was no way Rong Yue wouldn’t know who it was.

The man she had originally dismissed with the excuse that he was annoying was now standing here at a time where she felt the most overwhelmed since she got back.

It was like she was getting a sharp wake up call that what she had to do was a lot and she was still too weak to take on all the evil people that were involved in all of it.

Yet, she had to try! After all, she didn’t dare to disappoint the heavens for this opportunity they had given to her. The more she thought about, the more teary she became and she didn’t even realize that while she was walking towards Qin Yichen, he was also walking towards her.

In one pull, Qin Yichen pulled her into his large and warm embrace as the placard fell to the floor in reckless abandon.

“Little gir, I’m here now,” Qin Yichen whispered, his eyes narrowed with a glint of danger in them as he got a read of Rong Yue’s emotions. Even worse was when he felt the liquid that poured from her eyes with her face pressed against him.

In the three months he had known her, never for once had he seen her like this, while he liked that she was able to depend on him, he was more infuriated at whoever was behind her feeling this way.

He Qin Yichen had yet to bully the little girl to tears and someone in this world dared?

The more words he spoke, the more Rong Yue cried as he ran his hands through her hair. Her vulnerability surprised Qin Yichen and even Rong Yue. But it was only normal, after all, even with all the hurt that she had ended the last life with, she had immediately pushed everything to the back of her mind as soon as she woke up.

This event had been like a trigger to everything she had experienced before. And it pushed all of those feelings right out of her.

In the busy city airport, several people looked at the couple that were so wrapped together. Not only was Qin Yichen on glasses and mask, Rong Yue’s face was also buried completely in his chest making no one unable to recognize any of them.

Qin Yichen steered her into the car with his arms still wrapped around her while Lu Bo looked at the crying Rong Yue through the rearview mirror.

Seeing her in another weak state, his eyebrows tightened even further as Qin Yichen allowed her petite figure to burrow into him.

“Just cry till you don’t want to anymore,” Qin Yichen told her and then told Lu San to raise up the car divider.

After a while, Rong Yue finally got a hold of her emotions but was too embarrassed to raise her head up. Qin Yichen chuckled as he used his hand to raise her head up.

“I don’t even dare to make you care, little girl, even if you don’t tell me, everyone and anyone that has made you cry would hear from me!” He said seriously making Rong Yue flush terribly from the intensity of his gaze.

However, he didn’t directly ask her anything as he knew that she was not going to feel comfortable talking about it now.

With his hands still wrapped around her, Rong Yue had no choice but to lay in his embrace without saying anything.

“Lu Bo, drive home,”

When they got to the estate, Rong Yue was once again reminded of when she had come here, this time however, even though they didn’t say anything, it was clear to see that things between them had changed by a whole lot.

After all, all of the grievances of the past life and the one she knew she would have to face head on, Rong Yue had poured all of it out in tears to him.

It was easy to see that even though she had been resisting in her mind, her heart had long latched on to him.

“I would make dinner for you and then you can tell me what you need me to help you with, this is after all, still the capital,” Qin Yichen said and Rong Yue nodded in understanding.

“I have cried this time, but it will be the last time,”
