Chapter 41: More Problems

Unlike the rest of the day, where he kept a serious face, today, as he ate his sandwich, he couldn't help but to smile and stare at Akshar, "3 and 0", He whispered before continuing munching on his bread.

Akshar was on his seat, looking around as if waiting for someone or something as he ate his meat-based meal with mashed-up beef and chicken breast.

"Akshar…" Princess Stulgra Angmar called as she walked towards him with two of her assistants walking behind her, "Mind telling me what happened?"

Akshar couldn't look her in the eye, swallowing his saliva, "Sorry…" He said.

A stark difference between how he would respond to everyone else.

"I don't want an apology, I want you to explain what happened to you." She pressed on further before sitting in front of him.

Akshar shook as she got closer, "I-I lost…"

Stulgra nodded, her assistant looking at Akshar with disgust as if he wasn't a barbarian. "Would you mind explaining why you attacked the Great Wizard? I don't think we can forget that… Do you know how other people would think of us, because of you?"

Akshar coughed, "Sorry… I don't know."

Stulgra bit on her teeth, drawing closer to him, "If you don't manage to clear your problem, I think you shouldn't call yourself a barbarian anymore."

Akshar lifted his head up, "No please… I do anything…"

"Then fix it."

Akshar's hands continued shaking even though she walked away.

Everyone in the cafeteria was silent as they saw what had happened, they didn't want to miss a single moment.

Just one table away, Jame was sitting, recording the conversation on his note, "This Is going to sell very well…"

"Hey tell me something…" George tapped on Jame.

Jame smiled, flipping through his notes before he got to his chosen page"Akshar was a prospect chosen by the Kingdom of Angmar, they chose him because his strength is undeniable, but he is probably going to be kicked out of the academy by the barbarians if he doesn't beat you."

"Beat me? Why?!" George quickly looked worried.

Suddenly Akshar being insulted publicly didn't sound funny anymore.

"It's pretty obvious, you beat him pretty easily in the spar."

"What about Peyton, he beat Akshar up too! Akshar got a worst beating from him than me!"

"He avenged that loss, and now he will try to avenge this loss."

"Shoot!"

Akshar stood up; everyone didn't dare mention a word about him near him; it was clear that he wasn't in a good mood.

He walked slowly out of the cafeteria, and before they knew it, the cafeteria got back to its noisy self.

George, finishing his meal, stood up and ran out of the cafeteria, "This guy is gonna kill me! For sure!"

Running into the dorm, he carefully inspected around, making sure that the barbarian wasn't there. But as he got to his room, he could see a broad shoulder blocking it, "Akshar.. What are you doing here? This is my room."

"I WARN YOU. End of the month, you will lose. You must…" He walked away.

He would normally seem intimidating, but at this moment, George could see fear in the barbarian's eyes; his posture also showed it.

George walked into his room before locking it, just making sure that if the barbarian changed his mind, he wouldn't be able to just walk in and kill him. "Crap, I gotta get stronger!"

He might have learned wrestling, but with only a week of practice, he had only learnt the basics and was still rough on the edge.

He also knew that wrestling wouldn't work in real-life combat like the one that they would be doing for the end of the month.

If George tried wrestling the barbarian, a single punch from the barbarian would be enough to make it game over for him.

And the same goes if he tried it on everyone else in the match. Wrestling certainly has its advantages, but in a real fight, wrestling was a tool to finish the fight or to control the situation; it was certainly not a great way to start the match.

He carried the ten books in one hand before walking out of his room and inspecting the hallway, just making sure that the barbarian was nowhere near before he sprinted towards the library.

"Here are the books!" He said, dropping them off in front of the librarian.

"Already?"

"I will come back for it, but I need some books on hand to hand combat, the ones that only involve fist. And uhh, another book on kicking."

"Why don't you just learn complete martial arts?" She asked, normally if a student were to ask for a martial art book, complete martial art books were the one that they were gonna choose.

"Complete martial arts? Sure, just add it to the other books that I asked for." George replied.

She picked up the ten books and walked towards the bookshelf, putting them back from where she picked them up before she started taking out other books from the bookshelf.

A few minutes passed, and she returned with more books in her hand, "We have three Mid-Tier complete martial arts, you might want to use this… The ones that just use the fist and legs are not complete, nobody even uses them, they are on the level of the wrestling arts."

George nodded as he took a stack of books and walked to one of the tables in the library.

The first book was titled [IRON BODY].

'This sounds like a scam…' He thought. The book reminded him of one of those fake arts back on earth.

As he read the book, the more he started to get annoyed.

The book was simply an explanation of how they should execute stiff and rigid movement, making them "IRON", even though it didn't make sense. be𝚍𝚗𝚘ve𝚕.c𝚘𝚖

He moved onto the next book; which was covered in blue letters with a heat print on it which read, [FLOW].

And just a few pages in, he immediately tossed the book aside.

The martial art reminded him of popular and iconic martial art, which claims that they could stop an attack by letting the attack flow through them. And as the martial art was put against the other more practical martial arts, it failed.

He could see why the martial art worked here, and that was because they were simply much stronger, and the stronger you got, the more things you could get away with, and that was getting away with using a bad martial art.

Seeing how the first two complete martial art books were, he quickly tossed the third one aside.
