Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely-Chapter 80: Small Information About the Battle Realm, Gaze of the Primordial
Chapter 80: Small Information About the Battle Realm, Gaze of the Primordial
There wasn’t a trace of hesitation on Sam’s face as he raised his hand.
Bullet of Oblivion!
The black orb surged into existence, pulsing with a chaotic blend of power, [Shadow], [Chaos], [Void], and now, [Hatred].
Compared to the one he fired at the [Roaring Titan], this one was far more potent.
It shimmered with layered energies, its form unstable, tearing through the air around it even before being fired.
Most people, if they found someone lurking in their home, especially hiding in the corner of their room, would stop and ask questions.
Maybe demand an explanation. Try to get answers.
Sam wasn’t most people.
He didn’t say a word. He didn’t even blink.
[Proceed.]
His subconscious encouraged him, and he acted. Sam fired.
The bullet shot forward like a cannon of pure annihilation, warping the air around it with how fast it moved, the shriek of compressed energy leaving a harsh crack through the room.
"Whoa?!" a voice echoed out as the intruder dodged just in time, their body moving with a sudden burst of speed. "What the fuck?!"
The bullet struck the corner where the figure had been and tore through the wall, ripping apart everything in its path before flying out the building and into the sky, vanishing into the distance like a shooting star.
Sam didn’t react to the damage.
His eyes remained on the person who had dropped to the floor, now standing in plain sight.
And... he recognized her.
She had deep brown hair and golden eyes
"You’re..." Sam muttered, tilting his head slightly, "The woman from the [Guild Meeting]. The one who stood next to Evan."
She brushed dust off her coat and gave a long sigh, still a little shaken. "I was surprised. This... this really isn’t normal. You don’t try to kill people instantly like that."
"You were in my room," Sam replied with a shrug. "That is normal."
The woman sat on the edge of his bed, clearly trying to calm herself. "I’m Emily Moonveil," she said, her eyes staying on Sam.
Her body was still tense, ready to react.
She wasn’t just anyone. Sam could tell.
Even without using any skill, he could feel the weight of her aura.
And yet, what mattered most wasn’t her presence, it was her expression, the way her gaze lingered on him with caution.
Emily wasn’t weak. Far from it.
She was [Ascendant] rank, among the strongest awakeners in the [North Region], and she specialized in stealth.
Her signature skill, [Ultimate Camouflage], was of legendary rank and was widely believed to be nearly impossible to detect.
But somehow... Sam had seen her.
And more than that, he’d almost hit her.
Emily knew that if she hadn’t moved, if she’d hesitated even a second, that bullet would have torn through her defenses.
She wouldn’t have died, but she would’ve been seriously hurt.
That alone made her rethink everything she thought she knew about this so-called "Expert rank" kid.
He was beyond that now. She felt it.
"I wanted to observe you a little longer, but I guess that’s ruined now," Emily muttered.
She took a slow breath and glanced at him.
"Well... I think you already know. The [Battle Realm] opens in seven days."
Sam didn’t respond.
Instead, he activated [Void Watcher].
[Void Watcher: An intruder that seemingly wants to relay information to you. No killing intent, though she is cautious and ready to defend herself.]
"What about it?" Sam asked, scratching his chin.
Emily crossed her arms, her aura briefly flickering around her like a warning.
"As you may know, all four regions will be participating. You’ll meet other guilds, stronger awakeners, and more importantly... I’m here to tell you something most people don’t know."
Sam didn’t interrupt.
He let her speak.
Emily leaned forward.
"The survival rate for humans entering the [Battle Realm] is close to zero. And there’s a reason for that."
She took another breath.
"It’s not just humans in there... there’s a mechanic to that too, one that involves the other worlds..."
Sam’s expression shifted slightly.
"The other worlds?" he echoed.
"Yes," Emily confirmed. "The [Battle Realm] exists at a dimensional crossing. That’s all I’m allowed to say. But it’s why so many die. You won’t just be fighting awakeners. You’ll be fighting... people. People from places far worse than this."
Sam’s eyes narrowed, but before he could ask anything more, Emily was already moving.
She turned and leapt out the window in a single graceful motion, landing somewhere on the street below.
"I’ll pay for the damages," she called out without looking back.
And just like that, she was gone.
Sam stood in silence.
The room was half-ruined. The wall corner was completely blown out, and debris littered the floor.
But he didn’t care about any of that.
His mind raced through everything she had just told him.
’Other regions... other worlds...’
It was always spinning around him.
This world. These events. It was like it wanted him to be in the center. And he didn’t resist.
[It doesn’t matter =)]
[Those who stand in our way, no matter which world they’re from, they’ll fall.]
Sam didn’t reply. He just nodded.
Then, without another word, he shut the window and went to bed.

A week passed.
In that time, Sam’s days were simple.
He didn’t do much. He just... prepared.
Every time, the first thing he did was evolve his newest skill.
Ding!
[Eye of Dread (Epic) → Gaze of the Forsaken (Legendary) → Gaze of the Primordial (Forsaken)]
---
[Gaze of the Primordial]
[Rank: Forsaken]
[Description: Let them see who they are truly facing. If anyone looks at you while this skill is active, they will immediately be inflicted with the "Doom" status effect for 3 seconds.]
[Hell-Mode Analysis: True and pure fear, the kind that almost no one can resist.]
---
Sam studied the panel with interest.
’So that’s it...’ he thought. ’Doom is the final stage of the [Fear] status effect.’
He updated the mental map in his mind:
[Fear → Terror → Doom]
It was complete now.
Even if [Gaze of the Primordial] didn’t do raw damage, it didn’t matter.
It was still powerful.
Sometimes, status effects were more dangerous than brute strength.
He kept in contact with Lily, Alicia, and Chloe as well.
They had all successfully advanced to [Expert] rank, just in time.
Sam wasn’t surprised.
If this followed the plot of [Forsakened], then of course the heroines would be joining the [Battle Realm].
To celebrate, the group had made plans to hang out for a bit, one final bit of normalcy before everything changed.
Because tonight, at midnight, the [Battle Realm] would open.
Nobody knew what awaited them there.
Sam could already feel it, it would be chaos.
[You will show them who you are.]
[Monsters, awakeners, even those from different races and different worlds, they will see who the Primordial is.]
Sam’s crimson eyes flared slightly as he read the panel.
But he didn’t react. He didn’t speak.
Instead, he simply stood at the edge of the building, staring into the distance as night approached and the seconds ticked away.
After a while, Lily, Chloe and Alicia came for him in a luxurious car.
"Come up~" Lily grinned, "There’s only a few hours left before the [Battle Realm] opens."
